Sep 9, 2010is there a version of os 5.0 where the voice dialing actually works from your blue tooth? or can you reload voice dialing from the os 4.5 app?

BB Curve 8900 :: Battery Life Has Drastically Dropped - Began To Freeze Citing "Voice Dialing Search"
Jul 31, 2010I've had my Blackberry Curve for nearly a year now, and played brickbreaker a lot. When I got my high score of 330,000+ with 70 lives my blackberry froze and an auto restart was neccesary wiping out all the data for the game. Ever since then my the game has been extremely choppy, and the battery life has drastically dropped. A week ago it began to freeze citing 'Voice Dialing search....' as the culprit. I keep it in standby mode when not using it, and have never tried to voice dial. Now, even when I send 5 texts and keep it in standby mode while at work all day the battery still goes dead to 10% after 12 hours. Neither Bluetooth or any internet connection is enabled Do I need a new battery, or is there something that I can do to fix it?

Nov 24, 2014I got my Droid Turbo about 10 days ago. Previously I had a Droid Razr Maxx for about 2.5 years. I had a Bluetooth hands free device mounted on my visor where when I hit a button it would speak "Please say a command" and I could respond with "Call Bob Smith Home" and it would work. I then got a Pioneer radio and it behaved exactly the same and worked very well.
Now, I get my Droid Turbo and expect similar results but it doesn't work? I can "sometimes" hear the first part of the phone/car stereo asking me to say a command but it is broken up and sometimes I hear nothing at all. If I look at the phone I can see that it is waiting for a command. If I say "Call Bob Smith Home" it comes up with Bob Smith but nothing happens? Also, if I say "Ok Google" and then say "Call Bob Smith Home" a DIFFERENT type screen comes up and WILL make the phone call.
In playing with my phone it seems like the phone comes with multiple voice command type "programs". I think there is the Google Voice, Moto something, and is there maybe even something else? Anyway, I'd just like my bluetooth voice dialing to work. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to get this work or use one of the phone's other voice recognition ones that will work?

Nov 25, 2012if I dial a contact via the Razr's voice command using my Bluetooth headset, the call connects, but neither party can hear audio. If I dial by selecting the contact manually, using the same Bluetooth headset, the call connects normally and audio is fine.The headset is a Jabra 250 and I don't have easy access to another Bluetooth device at the moment. Can't tell if this is a sw or hw issue on the Razr or the headset (which is an older model but still works just fine with original Droid Razr).

Dec 6, 2013I cannot dial or initiate an outgoing call using my Car's Bluetooth system, if the screen is locked. If I try to dial out using my car's system, i.e either using numbers stored in car's speed dial or voice dialing feature. it simply doe not work. But when I look at the phone and unlock the screen, phone starts dialing out.
This totally defeats the purpose of hand free Bluetooth system, in the car. I never has this issue with any other phone, including Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S3 or various versions of iphone.
BB Curve :: Turning Off Voice Dialing?
Sep 5, 2011How do you turn off the voice dialing? It keeps popping in when I am listening to an audio book with the headphones on, and I am unable to turn it off. It can also come in when I am listening to the radio. It is a real pain in the neck.

Apr 5, 2010My Blackberry Curve 8330 is having a problem with the voice dialing spontaneously turning on. Occasionally (about 1/4 of the time) when I try placing a call, the sound is muted-- as in I cannot hear ringing on the other end. When I hang up, the phone initializes the voice dialing feature. It continues to pop up up at 3 second intervals, at which point I can no longer receive or place calls. I can write texts and receive them, but because the voice dialing keeps popping up, texting isn't an easy task! This continues all day and I must restart the phone for it to stop (does not work all the time).

Jan 21, 2010My Verizon Curve, 8330, has been going into a loop for the past two weeks with "Voice Dialing Initializing" showing up randomly.When I get out of it, it will soon pop up again.When this starts to happen, any outgoing calls I try to make will be instantly disconnected.The problem starts, sometimes, after receiveing a call--I can't hear the other party and then they can't hear me.When I hang up, the loop starts.I do have bluetooth on to automatically hook into my car when I am driving.I tried to fix the problem by upgrading the operating system from 4.5.77 to 4.5.175, but the problem is persisting. The button on the side is not set to activate voice dialing (I switched it shortly after I got the phone 18 months ago). Any suggestions would be appreciated--I do not want to have to remove VOD but if there is no other solution will have to. There is a discussion under the Pearl for this problem, but I do not see it discussed in the Curve area.

Feb 9, 2010I have a curve 8330 and the voice activated dialing initializes on its own and loops in 3 second intervals until i do a battery pull. While the VAD is looping I am unable to make or recieve calls, it either disconnects me or mutes the phone and i am unable to unmute it. I removed the VAD all together using a program called MAXMEM, but the phone is still malfunctioning. now when i try to make an outgoing call it attempts to connect me for about 3 seconds then disconnects me. When trying to answer incoming calls it mutes the phone. I cant hear anything and the person calling me cant either. I went into settings and did a factory restore but it did not fix the problem. Is there any way to completely un-install the OS/software and re-install it? Im hoping that that will fix it. i have tried doing it via the BB website but was unable to.

Jan 4, 2010Recently purchased a Belkin Micro USB Bluetooth dongle, plugged into my Vaio and installed drivers that came with the CD.
currently running Windows 7, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried unisntalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.

May 19, 2010few days I got BB 8900 , and i bought Trust Bluetooth Adapter, when I install drivers for bluetooth it was normal sending ( normal speed ) I transfer song (5Mb) in 10 sec .. but now when in try 2 transfer song it took me about 6-7 hours .. is it problem with transfer speed , i saw that somewhere on my BB or my laptop, but i cant find it now can some1 tell me is that because that speed, or something alse.. Seems to be an intermittent fault. Everything about the phone works fine except the camera function which just shows a dark screen when I attempt to use it. For some reason my voice dialing has changed so that now it looks up contacts in last name first order i.e. if I say john smith it looks for a last name "john" This is a new phenomenon that seemingly has been initiated by the device without intervention from me and I can't seem to get it corrected. the contacts folder is sorted by first name.
