Recently purchased a Belkin Micro USB Bluetooth dongle, plugged into my Vaio and installed drivers that came with the CD.
currently running Windows 7, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried unisntalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.
I know sometimes I hit the end button instead of closing windows and that leaves them open. I know there's a way to find out what's open and close everything to make the phone less sluggish but I have no idea how to do it.
Since upgrading to ver 5 OS, my 8900 has been running very slow. Can't figure out if it's a memory issue (there's 24MB of main memory remaining...the storage card has 822MB remaining). It's starting to affect calls received - The ringer is very slow in starting....and my call goes into voicemail before I can answer it!
I have a BB 8900. I use it for emails, some browsing, Instant messenging.Lately it's been running really really slowly. Even when I'm conneced to home wifi emails and messages can take 5 mins to transmit from my device. Instant BB messages take 5 mins to float away.Connecting to some internet sites is now impossible - I think I might get timed out. But I can still get Google.I installed a new Facebook app last week - do you think this might be the cause?? Or is it my home internet service?? I live in the country and the bandwith might be the problem?
Almost everything about my BB is perfect - for now BUT: I noticed that since a few weeks? ago my agenda view is acting weird. It's very slow when opening (-20sec delay). I read about a few other people having this issue but neither of them got the issue resolved. A few facts I noticed:
- when I enable "Show free time in Agenda" it gets a lot snappier, but it ruins the whole view for it fills the whole display.
- I have 4 calendars ("Default", Facebook, >>BIS-email-address<<, >>normal email-address<<)
- I keep the appointments forever, but there's only about 200 of them
- All other views work flawlessly
I hope you guys have a few suggestions as to how to resolve this - for me - huge problem.I can't tell when this started exactly but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the OS I'm running (.509), otherwise most of you guys would have this problem, too
edit:
I already tried to: - delete all the calendar data and resynchronize completely (I actually reflashed the whole phone) - delete all the recurring appointments (birthdays etc.)
The agenda view is fast and responsive if all the calendars are empty
I have a Curve 8900 with no SIM card that I am using strictly off-line and via Wi-Fi.(No Cellular connection)When I plug it into my computer with a USB cable, it syncs email, contacts and calendar with no problems at all. However, when I try to transfer music, pictures or videos to or from the BB, I get a message saying "A problem occurred while attempting to connect to your BlackBerry device." It then offers the "Troubleshoot my connection" link.If I go into the "Device Options" section of the Desktop Software, I can check the "Organizer" or "My computer's date and time..." boxes under "Synchronize" but the "Media" box is grayed out and cannot be checked.
I upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
I have a BB Curve 8900 & am having difficulty transferring my full iTunes library to my BB device. For some reason it only tranfers around 50 of my total 300. It now seems to accept all the latest purchases from iTunes but not the older/historic ones.I have tried this using the Blackberry Desk Top Manager synching. Can anyone help here to enable me to transfer my full library across.
I'm hoping someone can help me with something. I'm having an issue with constant data transfer and I wanna know what it is. I know the upload and download arrows flash every once in a while when changing areas around town but I have a lot of up and down data transfer and its draining my battery. I deleted all my apps and I am using just a plain precision zen theme and wiped my phone and started fresh but its still happening. It seems to stop a little when I turn of WiFi and GPS and it completely stops when I turn off all radio services. If I do this my battery will last all day but if I turn everything back on my battery will be dead in about 3 hours.
I'm running 5.0.0.592 on my T-MO 8900 .Is there a way to tell what's sending info so much? Is there an app out there that can tell me what's sending?
Ok seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!
My boyfriend has been trying to send me pictures from his n900 to my 8900 curve ,connection fails automatically, when tries to send me a file it asks on my bb if this code matches, and it never does.i can send to him,but he can't send to me.
I'm trying to set up bluetooth synchronization for my 8900 now that I am no longer on a BES.I picked up an Asus USB BT-21 bluetooth adapter for my PC, which is apparently based on Broadcom hardware. I'm running Win7 64 bit and installed the Broadcom drivers for the adapter. I followed the instructions here: http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do? cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04132&sliceId=1&docTy.Everything works fine up until the point where I go back into Desktop Manager and try to find my 8900. Desktop manager manages to find every other blackberry in my building except for mine. At the bottom of the instructions, it says that a conflicting IT policy might be the cause of this problem. So, I reset to factory defaults to remove any lingering IT policies as per the instructions here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/67224-remove-policy.html?highlight=remove+policy Tried to connect again but still no joy in mudsville.
I was trying to transfer a ringtone from a Samsung phone onto my BB. After a successful pairing, the Samsung phone displayed a "failed transfer" message on its screen. I tried to transfer a file from my BB to that same phone at it was a success.
with my bluetooth. I have a black berry curve 8520 and I am unable to transfer data with my pc through bluetooth. It pairs correctly with all devices but under the services list it doesnt include data transfer. I have tried refreshing the service list for a couple times but it doesnt work.
I'm unable to sending and receiving files via Bluetooth.
I followed the following steps
1. Swith on the Bluetooth
2. Connected with my another mobile which is having Bluetooth feature
3. Try to send music file to another device
4. First file went successfully ,but from second file onwards it is not transfer data. Showing message as "Pairing with 'Device' Complete, and then 0% showing progress bar always"
Curve 8900 (TIM) OS: 5.0.0.461.Yesterday I connected my device to the computer and upgraded the software to version 5.0.0.461 via Blackberry desktop manager. I can't remember witch OS version the device had before.
After the update, i'm having two problems:
1.- When connected to my Dell BH200 bluetooth headset it no longer recognizes the A/V Remote control functions. With the previous software version, when the headset connected, it recognized: Handsfree, Stereo audio and A/V Remote control (witch allowed me to change songs and pause/resume play using the headset buttons). With the new version, it only recognizes the first two (even though in the device properties screen appear as services: Handsfree, Headset, A/V Remote control and Audio sink) . I use my device to listen to music, so having to take it out everytime i want to change a song instead of just using the headset buttons bugs me. Trying to solve this problem, i have deleted the headset from my bluetooth device list, and then paired it again (several times). I have also reseted the headset, and the device but nothing works. Any ideas on how i can get the device to recognize A/V Remote control functions again?
2.- After the upgrade, the block screen button on top of the device no longer works. Also, putting the device into the holster no longer blocks the device. Is this function disabled in new version?
Apps (the ones I think matter): - 5.0.0 System software - 5.0.0 Core applications
I am using curve 9320 blackberry handset. I found a new type of problem while using the data transfer via Bluetooth (BTh). If I wish to transfer the data to the sama model i.e. 9320 to 9320 it works fine but as soon as i wish to transfer the data from my 9320 to BB curve 8520 the data transferred failed. On the same time the data from 8520 BB curve to 9320 is nicely transferred on my curve 9320.
"Short message transfer rejected" Tried battery pull didn't find anythign on forum regarding this, problem randomly occurred berry has been fine until now...
I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?
My phone has gotten to where when I am typing a text message it'll get so slow and almost freeze up and just stop and I got to wait and let it come back before I finish. I am running .131 on my Alltel 8330. Also, the 507 error I believe it is, happens to me a lot & I have had to completely reinstall the whole OS so many times. My battery doesn't really last very long at all. It doesn't compare to many that I hear about & my signal just isn't that great. Sometimes it runs good & won't really be that slow or lag but these past couple days it has been lagging bad & even with scrolling. Memory is NOT an issue I can reboot up with 45 & it'll go down to around 39 throughout the day.
I've tried .127 OS that my phone came with, used .131, used a hybrid before and tried .169 but the notification problem is too annoying.
Just got myself a BB 8900, however it dosent seem to have any device memory, i have looked under memory in the options menu and it doesnt say anything about device memory and when i connect it to my PC i cannot find the phone on my computer unless i have a memory card pluged in,

I recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.
I read a few posts yesterday about having slow WiFi speeds while Bluetooth is on. I couldn't figure why my speeds were so slow on WiFi at home and at my sister's house. Like barely over 1mbps. Then I saw the article , turned BT off and my speeds were over 25. I don't know if this is just an LG G3 issue or for others too after lollipop. I just got the LG Watch Urbane and this won't cut it if I want to keep this going. I use WiFi way more and will return the watch if I can't figure out a fix.
