BB Curve 8900 :: Bluetooth Connection Fails Automatically Tries To Send?
Jun 29, 2010
My boyfriend has been trying to send me pictures from his n900 to my 8900 curve ,connection fails automatically, when tries to send me a file it asks on my bb if this code matches, and it never does.i can send to him,but he can't send to me.
PC: HP Compaq 8510w running Win XP Professional, SP3 with PC Suite 7.1.51.0 Bluetooth: Broadcom 2.1.207.297/HCI 2.0/LMP 2.0 (HP integrated) E52 software ver 052.003, custom 052.003.247.05 (updated a month earlier)
They pair, but the phone insists my PC is an Audio Device ("Connect to audio device" on the menu). The PC responds somewhat strange - "Bluetooth Hands-Free device E52 Establishing Connection"...which FAILS - "Unable to establish Bluetooth connection" on the E52. So my PC also believes the E52 is a hands-free device. Apparently.Discovery of services on the E52 yields Data Transfer, Dial-Up Networking, Headset Audio Gateway, OBEX File Transfer+Object Push I recently replaced my original E52 with a new one and the first phone paired well and I could at least be on-line with text messages, calendar and contacts, although sometimes they would not connect automatically or the connection would be broken. This one's a mess.
I have paired my torch to my new Buick enclave and everything was good for about a week. Starting last week I have not been able to connect to my vehicle. My phone shows the connection failed.
I have got my Dell Vostro 3700 with Win7 (Pro-32bit) recently, have been trying connect my E72 with OVI via bluetooth, it only work when the first pairing, and the connection cannot establish once i restarted the computer.
Nokia Icon received last week from Verizon. I generally like the phone and am excited about using it since I am a Windows user and want to take advantage of using my phone with Windows PC. Heard great things about this phone and wanted to try it after years of Android use. I have heard complaints about lack of apps but I am not an apps user except for the most basic ones. My problem is more with connecting to other devices. After receiving phone, downloading updates to installed apps out of the box, I have had problems with connecting/staying connected to WiFi. Had to reboot phone to get any recognition of networks. Working better now. Bluetooth is the current problem.
Phone does not recognize radio. Just searches and searches. Talked to both Verizon and Alpine Stereo. Alpine says I need to update a file since the head unit is four years old. Took Icon to my wife's brand new Escalade and it will not recognize it either. Just searches away. So, four year old or brand new units don't seem to have been set up for Windows phones.
I have 5800 with version 40. When I go to establish a Bluetooth connection between the phone and my car stereo with BT, the phone finds the car audio receiver but fails to pair .
In the phone help section , it say I need to first assign a pin code to the phone and then enter the same number on the radio receiver and then start pairing .
I have looked all over and can not find any menu on my phone that let me input any pin number . I have tried numbers like 12345 and 1234 on the radio receiver but failed .
Does any one knows how to input the pin number . This apparently is not the Sim number .
This is a number we are supposed to come up with and input in both devices
cannot connect to server error when attempt to connect to msn,BB instant messaging contacts shows avail , but grey out to send messages ..sending msgs give timmer , is hanging..
just upgraded software on 8900 to 5.0.0.509 and the homescreen keeps lighting up by itself more or less every 5-10 mins and im not too sure why its doing it
My Blackberry 8900 will pair successfully with the bluetooth system on a 2010 Jaguar XJ but will only autoconnect if I switch off the phone and then restart it. It used to connect automatically.
I lost all of my contacts after i downloaded the 5.0 OS from the forums. How would i be able to get them back without having to manually add them back into my phonebook? I thought it would have automatically saved my numbers to my sim card.
I am in West Africa for a while and have a UK network which has worked fine. I upgraded my software when i connected to the device manager and installed. Since then i have been unable to get any emails. I usually use my WI-FI connection, which is till working but i cant get onto FaceBook or emails it just says no data connection available. I can send text messages and make calls but no emails!! its drove me mad so i reverted back to the old version from my Data backup and installed that, thinking this would help, but it still hasn't. I have never had this problem before. I tried to take out the battery and chip but nothing. (not sure what i was version i was updating but the phone says V5.0.0.592) if that means anything!! Thanks in advance to those clever people!
I have a problem connecting my BlackBerry 8900 to a Sitecom WL-346 WiFi modem/router. I have created the WiFi profile on my phone, the connection get established, my phone get an IP address from the router (that is also a DHCP server) but I can't connect to internet. Also, if I try to ping the phone itself or the gateway (that is the router), the ping times out. I can't figure out which is the problem. From al of my devices (PCs, Wii) internet connection whit this router is OK.
Recently purchased a Belkin Micro USB Bluetooth dongle, plugged into my Vaio and installed drivers that came with the CD.
currently running Windows 7, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried unisntalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.
few days I got BB 8900 , and i bought Trust Bluetooth Adapter, when I install drivers for bluetooth it was normal sending ( normal speed ) I transfer song (5Mb) in 10 sec .. but now when in try 2 transfer song it took me about 6-7 hours .. is it problem with transfer speed , i saw that somewhere on my BB or my laptop, but i cant find it now can some1 tell me is that because that speed, or something alse.. If its because that, can some1 tell me where can I change that.. 10x
When I received this BB 8900, it was on 4.6.1.231 OS and I couldn't send SMS messages, but could receive them. I could send MMS and everything else was fully functional.I figured it was an OS problem and upgraded to 5.0.0.592, but still no luck.I guess I'm a complete novice at this since the last BB I owned was the Pearl and that was two years ago, so is there a way I can clean the whole device and put everything back to factory settings and start from the ground up?would this tactic solve my issue, anyway?
The bluetooth on my BB curve has stopped connecting to the blue tooth in my car automatically. If I delete the device and then add it as a new one it works fine, but if I turn the radio off and then on again it connects for a second but then losses it. The BB connects to my other car straight away.
I recently got a Curve 8900, and I can only lock/unlock it by pressing the top button. On my brother's Curve.he's able to lock/unlock by pressing A+Send. For the life of me I can't figure out how to get mine to do the same thing.I went to the "Tips and Tricks" section for my phone, and it actually says that the A+Send option is the standard way to lock/unlock.Now I'm confused. Please help.
Whenever I call or received a phone call It keeps automatically going through bluetooth so I cannot hear anything. I have disable the bluetooth and deleted all the paired devices but still not working. I have to manually when someone call me, I have to go into menu and click headset. Its definitely going through bluetooth because I can see top left screen when I call or receive a phone call there a a phone and bluetooth next to each other.
Ok seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!
I'm trying to set up bluetooth synchronization for my 8900 now that I am no longer on a BES.I picked up an Asus USB BT-21 bluetooth adapter for my PC, which is apparently based on Broadcom hardware. I'm running Win7 64 bit and installed the Broadcom drivers for the adapter. I followed the instructions here: http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do? cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04132&sliceId=1&docTy.Everything works fine up until the point where I go back into Desktop Manager and try to find my 8900. Desktop manager manages to find every other blackberry in my building except for mine. At the bottom of the instructions, it says that a conflicting IT policy might be the cause of this problem. So, I reset to factory defaults to remove any lingering IT policies as per the instructions here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/67224-remove-policy.html?highlight=remove+policy Tried to connect again but still no joy in mudsville.
Can anyone suggest anything to help me please - since a few days ago I cannot send or receive any picture messages. I havent changed any of the settings or downloaded any apps so Im struggling to understand what it could be...?
I know on Google phones, you have an option to be able send a particular contact str8 to voicemail when they call without it ringing, are you able to do such a thing with the BB curve?
I can never connect my 3G 9300 bluetooth to the handsfree Nokia CK-7W first time. It always takes 6 to 10 tries before it will connect.I have trawled the web for answers but nothing I have found works. The strange thing is, the others phones that I have connect first time with no trouble, so it is not the handsfree equipment. Surely Blackberry must do something about this, I am far from being the only one.
I puked my phone and lost all connection to Bluetooth, now my car is saying that my phone is authorized but it is still not connecting, the car book says that there should be a screen that asks for the Passcode and that it should be entered into the phone as well, but the car doesn't ask for this, making me think that the car still has the Passcode put in originally but the phone has lost it, how do I get up a menu to enter the Passcode?
I used to have a BB9780 has no problem using with speaker (Sony Ericssion), but when i switch to BB9360, i am unable to pair this bluetooth speak, it say unable to find new device. It is that new OS7 BB must use Black Berry bluetooth product.
problems with Bluetooth Connection to a 2011 Range Rover with a Curve 8900?I have been unable to get my Blackberry 8900 to pair with my Range Rover In Car Bluetooth. The phone finds the car and pairs and the car registers the phone, then the car keeps dropping the connection and then reconnecting every few seconds. They dont actually stay paired long enough to do anything. I have a Blackberry Curve 8900, which is running the latest Software, V5.0.0.681 (Platform 5.2.0.67). I have checked on the Landrover Website and it would appear the Car and Phone are compatible, in fact it is one of the recomended phones, however Landrover list the Software v4.6.1.310 (Platform 4.2.0.0.127) or Latest Tested Version. So it looks as if they should work. My Blackberry works with other In Car Bluetooth and Bluetooth Devices. The Range Rover connects to a Nokia so it seems to be working. The indication is it is a Phone/Car incompatability.
well the thing is that i have the BB curve and also i hae the Vaio computer Series Y , before when i got the BB i was checking the features between PC and BB , i found that i could Connect the BB music to be able and listen to music with the speakers in the PC , now recently , is not letting me to connect the BB to the PC , is showing like if is trying to connect the it says Connected after to seconds it cut the connection, in my BB says Connection with Vaio terminated , basically is only playing 2 seconds in the computer and the it finish by itself?
PS, i have tried to remove both device each other and then reparied again but NO GO , also i have tried the option "listen " just to make sure that was the problem but "No go "?
Curve 8900 (TIM) OS: 5.0.0.461.Yesterday I connected my device to the computer and upgraded the software to version 5.0.0.461 via Blackberry desktop manager. I can't remember witch OS version the device had before.
After the update, i'm having two problems:
1.- When connected to my Dell BH200 bluetooth headset it no longer recognizes the A/V Remote control functions. With the previous software version, when the headset connected, it recognized: Handsfree, Stereo audio and A/V Remote control (witch allowed me to change songs and pause/resume play using the headset buttons). With the new version, it only recognizes the first two (even though in the device properties screen appear as services: Handsfree, Headset, A/V Remote control and Audio sink) . I use my device to listen to music, so having to take it out everytime i want to change a song instead of just using the headset buttons bugs me. Trying to solve this problem, i have deleted the headset from my bluetooth device list, and then paired it again (several times). I have also reseted the headset, and the device but nothing works. Any ideas on how i can get the device to recognize A/V Remote control functions again?
2.- After the upgrade, the block screen button on top of the device no longer works. Also, putting the device into the holster no longer blocks the device. Is this function disabled in new version?
Apps (the ones I think matter): - 5.0.0 System software - 5.0.0 Core applications
