My Blackberry 8900 will pair successfully with the bluetooth system on a 2010 Jaguar XJ but will only autoconnect if I switch off the phone and then restart it. It used to connect automatically.
View 3 Repliesi just baught my friends old blackberry and his wifi worked fine.i got it and put giffgaff network on and now it doesnt pick any wifi up.i put his old 02 simcard in and it now still doesnt pick up any wifi..i tried manually adding them but it still doesnt pick them up. the diognostic results had a cross on the connection tab.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up bluetooth synchronization for my 8900 now that I am no longer on a BES.I picked up an Asus USB BT-21 bluetooth adapter for my PC, which is apparently based on Broadcom hardware. I'm running Win7 64 bit and installed the Broadcom drivers for the adapter. I followed the instructions here: http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do? cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04132&sliceId=1&docTy.Everything works fine up until the point where I go back into Desktop Manager and try to find my 8900. Desktop manager manages to find every other blackberry in my building except for mine. At the bottom of the instructions, it says that a conflicting IT policy might be the cause of this problem. View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8900, Windows XP SP2, Desktop Manager 4.7 and a 3com PCMIA Bluetooth Card. Using the card I have successfully paired my computer with my Blackberry. All the services on the blackberry are enabled and the Bluetooth software shows that the serial port service is available using COM4. When I open Desktop Manager and open Connection Options, the 'use bluetooth' option is grayed out, so I cannot connect my Blackberry. Does anyone know what to do?

Often my iPhone doesn't pick up wifi when I come into a wi-fi zone and stays on GPRS until I go into setting, wifi and then it picks up the network. Sometimes it does it automatically but it's annoying when it doesn't. It sometimes does the same with network signal if you go into a 'No Service' area and then come out of it it often takes a long time to pick up the network signal again.

just upgraded software on 8900 to 5.0.0.509 and the homescreen keeps lighting up by itself more or less every 5-10 mins and im not too sure why its doing it
any help how to stop this anyone out there?
I lost all of my contacts after i downloaded the 5.0 OS from the forums. How would i be able to get them back without having to manually add them back into my phonebook? I thought it would have automatically saved my numbers to my sim card.

I invited a few of my friends to my bbm using their pin but it didnt go through just comes up pending but they never got the invite. when they try to invite me using my pin i dont get an invite. As well as that i an send files using bluetooth but some how can not recieve even if paired with the other device.

The phone says relaod software 552 but the notebook will not pick up the device. The cable is fine and i have restarted the phone numerous time so its not that either. The fact is the phone cannot be seen thus i cannot reload the soaftware. the phone is about to go across the room.

I have had it connected in the past and have tried the reboot (taking out the battery whilst still on) but it didn't improve, I have tried to connect via WPS and manually. I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. View 4 Replies View Relatedhi. had 8900 for few months on orange uk with data plan. have been using email, internet and windows live and blackberry messenger all fine using either wi fi or mobile now all of a sudden its stop working and i cant use none. when i try to connect to internet i get a msg say this is a wi fi service please ensure your device has a wi fi connection , bb messenger wont send mgs or receive windows live jus says this service is not enabled for this handheld. ive contacted orange but they havnt helped they did say it could be a update of facebook causing problem?. have tried removing battery and restoring removed service books etc nothings fixed. can anyone help plz?

However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.
