Feb 20, 2010Greetings, blackberry 8310: some keys are not working, now normally I would think it's because it has gone through some rough punishment, but odd enough, sometimes they work. The Keys i'm talking about are the Z-C-N-M-SPACE-RIGHT SHIFT-LOWER VOLUME keys, but, when I press Z like 10 times it starts to work, so does the C, and then the N and M and SPACE, and what's even weirder is that when the keys do work, they work without any problem whatsoever, I think it's a software problem or something or an OS problem but I'm not an engineer, so I dont know.

Feb 9, 2010i have a 8310 curve and it's not working correctly.Everything on the phone works except the audio, both the speaker and mic, work intermittently. It's kind of hard to explain but the audio sounds very choppy and it is difficult to hear anything. I've tried a system wipe on the phone and that still didn't do anything.

The phone works but several Blackberry features are missing, including the ability to set up email internet and outlook email accounts.Also, the broadband connection still says "edge" in lowercaps, which I have heard is ATT specific.Can I use this phone on a T Mobil network? What do I need to do?

May 4, 2010I was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".

Mar 31, 2010I just came from switching from an HTC Touch to a Curve 8310. Still figuring out most of it. The wider keyboard may take some getting used to. First thing I want to do is get all the apps from my old phone to the new one. I have installed Opera Mini 5 but I have to say I miss being able to toggle through the links. Sometimes the rollerball can be too slow.
I used to listen to music via Radiotime on my old phone. However, that was with Windows Mobile and it doesn't quite work with this phone's browser. I saw the post about blueapple.mobi and quickly got that bookmarked. Right now I am looking for free apps to get me started. Especially a podcast/newsreader and a radio option for my phone.

Jan 11, 2010I visited the blackberry applications website on my computer. I see programs/applications which may help me. Next to some of them i see a fee to purchase the program. Are those one time fees or monthly things? Or is it program specific. the thing i was looking at was called Zbook and seems to keep a copy of my contacts.

May 19, 2010I just got a curve 8330 from a friend and had the service switched to it from my LG voyager today. Went to the Verizon store and they were unable to transfer my contacts. The guy told me that in options, because "wireless sync" says Not Available, he couldn't do it. I can't change that setting either.

Feb 2, 2010I have a very big problem about 8310, as for a sudden I have lost my email application with no reason and I couldn't receive send email at all. I have contacted my service provider and they have helped me to check in many methods that would help to fix this even check my IEMI and Pin number in Canada and there was nothing wrong with it. Today I double checked in every application and I found I have no certificates details at all compare to the other BB.
I start to check this because it seems my provider doesnt recognize my emei and pin number. I have tried many times to delete email setting and reset. I couldn't even add the pin and emei number, it's always showned 'Invalid Pin and Emei' please contact your service device. Btw, I have been using it for 4 months only
BB Curve 8900 :: After Installing Upgrades For Applications / Reboot Does Not Finish
Mar 25, 2010When i reboot my phone after I installed a few upgrades to some applications, as usual.I was asked to reboot.It restarted the phone, however does not completly reboot back to my home screen. Instead, it is stuck on my Network Provider's screen...(o2 Welcome Screen)Im guessing it is still finishing the installation of some upgrades, but it has been like this all night.
I did a baterry pull, and took out the SIM Card and memory card, however it still seems to be stuck on the Network Provider's home screen.I had this issue last time, and I was advised from another forum to turn off the phone from the Off button on the phone, pull the battery and memory card, reinsert the battery without the memory card.This worked perfectly last time. Now, while the welcome screen is showing, if i press the off button, it will "Verify Security Software" and turn off.
BB Curve 8900 :: Cannot Transfer Music Via Bluetooth
Jan 4, 2010Recently purchased a Belkin Micro USB Bluetooth dongle, plugged into my Vaio and installed drivers that came with the CD.
currently running Windows 7, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried unisntalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.

May 19, 2010few days I got BB 8900 , and i bought Trust Bluetooth Adapter, when I install drivers for bluetooth it was normal sending ( normal speed ) I transfer song (5Mb) in 10 sec .. but now when in try 2 transfer song it took me about 6-7 hours .. is it problem with transfer speed , i saw that somewhere on my BB or my laptop, but i cant find it now can some1 tell me is that because that speed, or something alse.. Jan 27, 2010I upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
