There are a couple of questions I've been trying to search the answers for but I can't really find anywhere.
1. Are there any weather or radio applications that use wifi (as i do not have a data plan)
2. Is it possible to set up a personal email acount without having a data plan?
Are there any weather apps out there that actualyl shwo the weather on the main screen without going to the app?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i reboot my phone after I installed a few upgrades to some applications, as usual.I was asked to reboot.It restarted the phone, however does not completly reboot back to my home screen. Instead, it is stuck on my Network Provider's screen...(o2 Welcome Screen)Im guessing it is still finishing the installation of some upgrades, but it has been like this all night.
I did a baterry pull, and took out the SIM Card and memory card, however it still seems to be stuck on the Network Provider's home screen.I had this issue last time, and I was advised from another forum to turn off the phone from the Off button on the phone, pull the battery and memory card, reinsert the battery without the memory card.This worked perfectly last time. Now, while the welcome screen is showing, if i press the off button, it will "Verify Security Software" and turn off.
I have Nokia 700 with Belle FP2 installed and according to the Battery Monitor, the Weather Application that comes by default with this version of Belle is eating a lot of my battery in the background. I do NOT use the weather widget and I have wi-fi and mobile data connection turned off most of the time. I also erased all cities from the Weather App, yet still it seems to work in the background and it is responsible for about 50 % of my phone energy consumption. It is impossible to turn it of (I guess it starts any time I turn my phone on), and it is impossible to uninstall it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an s6 and the factory installed 4x1 clock/weather app no longer works. The clock still keeps time, but the weather icon on the right hand side does not show the current weather, will not update, nor will it allow me to touch the widget and enter into the settings/different cities. It was working fine up until about a week ago. I've tried restarting my phone and removing/re-positioning the widget, but no luck. It can't be uninstalled as it came with OS.

There doesn't seem to be a problem using WiFi. Could this be a bit rate problem? I have a totally stable 3.5G connection.

I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe both have Iphone 4 with IOS 5.1. Noticed this issue after upgrade to latest IOS. In the weather app you can select cities that you want to follow weather-wise. I had around 10 cities selected. My wife had some other number. In any case I noticed one day that I only had 3 cities. Long story short I ran some tests and using either phone adding/deleting cities on one phone causes a sync to the other phone.
