BB Torch :: 9800 - Caller ID Not Working / Unknown Number Shown On Calls
Jul 13, 2011I have purchased a new blackberry torch 9800, and whenever I get a call it always comes up as "Unknown number." And my contact's are not encrypted.

BB Storm :: Caller ID Not Working On 9550 - Showing Unknown Number?
Jun 2, 2011I purchased an unlocked Telus Storm 2 - 9550. Currently using this phone on the Rogers network. Phone works great, but caller id does not fully work. If someone calls me on a land line the caller id works great and name appears as in my contact list. If someone calls me on a cell phone I get unknown number. I have tried battery pull and tried changing encryption or the smart dialing settings.

Since, I see some discussion going on for eg "phone number not updating after switching of sim card". Does not affect my usage but I am bit curious as the option is there. Feb 19, 2012Just got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

I bought a BB 9650 unlocked from Verizon, and i am using it in Canada with Fido, and when i get phone calls from people, it shows up as unknown number, but i realize i have these people numbers stored on my contact list super weird.

Oct 9, 2013Ok I have a new problem which I think was caused by me accidentally deleting my email live tile I could not find how to replace the tile it was only tonight that I realised that it was listed as linked inbox!
anyway the only way I could see to replace the tile was to remove and add my email accounts.
Now when I get a call I get the incoming number but not the name and if I look in the call history there is just the number, when I look later it has the name displayed.
Why the names are not being displayed, I am tempted to do a full reset but my 920 bricked when I did it and it is not back from repair yet so I am scarred to do it on my 1020.

Jan 4, 2012I have a Torch 9800 and on Saturday while uninstalling the true caller app that I thought was the reason for the slow response I was getting from my phone, it began restarting itself and eventually gave me a JVM 545 error - reset and it went off completely. Aug 14, 2010I am not exactly sure what happened, but I had about 69 songs on my Torch, and while I was perusing through my albums, I saw an annoying folder called "Unknown". I navigated into that area, and it showed zero songs. So I am like, ok, nothing there, let's delete that bad boy. So I pressed the menu key, selected Delete, and it seemed to take awhile to delete 0 songs. Finally when it got done, I only had 19 songs left. WTH? Ugh! What happened?

When I call local numbers with in UK the reciever of call is not able to see my number "BLOCKED" appears to the caller. however when I call to someone in India then the reciever is able to see my number on the phone.

Jan 2, 2010i am having an issue where when i recieve a incoming call my bold 9000 does not show me who is calling even though I have those callers names in my contact list. i am with rogers and i do not subscribe to caller id, however when i use to have my pearl i did not have caller id but when someone in my contacts called there name and number would show up. i'm just curious as to what I can do to correct this?
