Lumia 1020 :: Caller ID - Only Getting Number But Not Name On Incoming Calls
Oct 9, 2013
Ok I have a new problem which I think was caused by me accidentally deleting my email live tile I could not find how to replace the tile it was only tonight that I realised that it was listed as linked inbox!
anyway the only way I could see to replace the tile was to remove and add my email accounts.
Now when I get a call I get the incoming number but not the name and if I look in the call history there is just the number, when I look later it has the name displayed.
Why the names are not being displayed, I am tempted to do a full reset but my 920 bricked when I did it and it is not back from repair yet so I am scarred to do it on my 1020.
I loaded all my accounts and all my contacts are there but when someone calls the caller id doesnt match to my contacts and just shows the number, if I go to save that call to a contact, the number is already there..
I have just bought the new Nokia Lumia 1020 & set ringtone to my incoming calls, but it now rings once then a voice comes on saying " Incoming call from......" how do I remove this voice? I have tried the speech option but it only shows for text messages but it is off.
How do I get my Lumia 1020 to display the name and company of the contact who is calling me? I have more than 1500 contacts for whom the company name is meticulously filled. Many names are duplicates, and I can distinguish between them only when I can see the company name as well. In my old blackberry, the contact name and company name used to be displayed. In my old android, there was an app which could do this.
New to the Windows mobile phone... I use my Windows phone for business and do a lot of conference calls. With my iPhone I used to be able to put the phone number with three commas and then the passcode to the conference call in the meeting request (format = 555-555-5555,,,12121212#). By using this format my customers could just click the link in their iPhone and it would auto-dial the conference number along with the passcode so that they did not have to remember the passcode while driving.
Example: 555-555-5555,,,12121212#. (autohyperlink for iOS) VS 555-555-5555 Passcode 12121212 then press # (caller can hyperlink the phone number but has to remember the passcode and dial it while driving...)
By using this format you could just click the number and it would dial the number pause then auto add the passcode and # to enter the conference call. I think Blackberry used to use a similar format to achieve the same thing.
I am using Blackberry Storm2 9550. The problem is these days when ever am getting a call the country name is not being displayed on the screen, previously it was comming but since am facing this problem.
A friend has a Moto X and says that when an incoming call comes in that is not in his Address Book, no caller ID information is provided. The only thing that pops up is an Accept or Decline button. Is this common? Or is there a way to turn on a feature that will give him the phone number of the incoming call?
I've had my iPhone 4s for over a year now. And I have not been able to get Caller id to work!! The messages all work fine, it's just incoming calls. I've tried everything. I'm also with Optus.
- On incoming calls only the contact name is displayed, and the name of the specific extension isnt' shown.
I'll be clear: I've contact Oren, with numbers: Home: 111, Mobile 222 and Tomer 333
When Oren calls I see only "Oren 111" or "Oren 222" etc. I want to see "Oren Home 111" or "Oren Tomer 333".
I placed an image of the problem here: [URL] ....
I played a lot with the settings, tried re-improting the numbers from google, tested my contacts on an Asus phone(there it worked) etc - nothing works on mine.
BTW: HTC One. Android: 4.3 (happened on earlier androids too).
I bought a Nokia E65 about 3 days ago and I got a problem: each time someone textes or calls me I only see the caller's number and not the name, even if it is saved on Contacts. I've already seen the defenitions/contacts/mensages menu and found nothing useful.
I have been getting blocked calls and it has been getting annoying. I finally found a website that reveals the caller and it needs the pin number. But I have no idea what it is.
I am not able to get picture of the person calling me or for that matter when i call someone else.. In the contacts i have their picture. But Caller ID does not show picture during incoming call or when dialing outgoing number. I have Lumia 1020.. Am new to WP.
When I make an outgoing call and during a call if I receive and incoming call (Call Waiting) Caller id always shows "unknown".
This is not the case when I receive and incoming call and during the call I receive another incoming call (call waiting) the caller id works just fine.
Just got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.
After certain time in the phone all incoming calls show the same number in caller ID.The number that is shown will be the last call received before the problem starts. The call log shows the correct number but when call is received the same number is shown. This continues till the phone is reset. But it reverts back to the same issue after some time.I thought this was a problem with the phone and changed Handset and SIM card also, but still the problem came back after a couple of months. My service provider is not able to help me. I tried updating the software in the old phone but still the problem was there. This is driving me crazy since there are many calls I dont want to attend.
I am using Blackberryr 9300. I bought it last month and it was working fine. From past week incorrect information is displayed on all incoming calls(Eg : for every caller it would show up the last dialled call details, sometimes it just displays few digits etc).
When I receive a call it will come up on the phone as either the last number received or a random collection of numbers. quite often in one day I will receive 20 calls and all incoming calls on that day will be the same number until i answer the call. Any ideas?
I am unable to set the number of rings on incoming phone calls. I can adjust the count for vibration, but no "count" icon is available in the ring tone section.
I have an Iphone 4 and I just changed my number. After changing it ( last weekend) my phone has not let me receive or send texts or calls. Also, when I go to message settings on my phone my old number is still there and idk how to put in my new one. I have already tried resetting network settings. but that hasn't worked....
