How do I block an incoming call so that it does not show or ring and the caller knows my number is unavailable?

Every time I try to call a number (LAN LINE) that has a block on unidentified callers, I get the message "The number you are calling does not accept unidentified calls please enter your 10 digit phone number" The funny thing is that this problem just started to happen. A week ago it was fine. When I do call a number that is not blocked, my number comes up correctly on the caller ID but shows as unidentified. Sometimes, it shows up as international.Now, funny thing is that if I put my SIM in my Pearl, I can make calls no problem. There are two settings on the Bold under general options. One is called "Restrict My Identity" In this case, I have have it set to NEVER. I have also tried NETWORK DETERMINED, but neither of them make difference. The other setting is called "Show My Number" and this is set to YES.I have talked to AT&T until I am blue in the face. They say it is a problem with the phone and that it needs to be replaced. I hardly believe that. I have a friend with the same phone and it has the same problem.I did see some threads on this before in other forums, but never did see an answer to the problem.Finding a solution would be very nice.Already tried doing a factory reset and a security wipe on the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk I have a new problem which I think was caused by me accidentally deleting my email live tile I could not find how to replace the tile it was only tonight that I realised that it was listed as linked inbox!
anyway the only way I could see to replace the tile was to remove and add my email accounts.
Now when I get a call I get the incoming number but not the name and if I look in the call history there is just the number, when I look later it has the name displayed.
Why the names are not being displayed, I am tempted to do a full reset but my 920 bricked when I did it and it is not back from repair yet so I am scarred to do it on my 1020.
I have purchased a new blackberry torch 9800, and whenever I get a call it always comes up as "Unknown number." And my contact's are not encrypted.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI successfully blocked my caller ID when I received my phone (in phone>settings) but now that option entirely disappeared. What is there to do without completely resetting my phone? At one point I asked Sprint to unlock my phone and I was able to use it outside of the US. Now it's back to the US SIM and everything is fine except that the caller ID blocking/unblocking option disappeared.

For the past year or so, I've "curated" a contact called "Spammers", adding 15 phone numbers and an email address for annoying bot dialers and text message spammers. The contact is Blocked. But for some reason, their calls are still coming through and ringing my phone. I've tried unblocking the contact and re-blocking it, to no avail.

Iphone4s - because I use pass lock I cannot decline a call such as a blocked number. If I can't see who is calling then I don't want to answer it. But due to having my phone on lock - i can see its a blocked number but there is no option to decline. If i unlock my phone it automatically answers the call.

I have read about this on this forum and others. I cant find a definitive answer. I have three contacts that are also in my ICE (in case of emergency) contact. They are my wife, my mom, and my parent's house.
When my wife calls I just see her number and her photo on the caller id. - No ICE.
When either my parents home or mom call I get ICE and MOM, but no photo. I have searched through all the ways I listed these contacts and cannot figure out how I got my wife's to "work". I want a way to tell the phone to not display the caller id from ICE.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy wife's 2009 Mariner Sync system worked great with her Nokia 5130. She is on AT&T, and just upgraded phones to a Nokia E63 and after successfully pairing with the Sync system, the phone will not accept calls or allow outgoing calls. The phone displays this message: "Call Not Allowed". Calling and receiving remains blocked with the same message even after walking out of range of the Mariner until she reboots the E63. The phone works normally until it connects to the Sync and the blocking starts again. The E63 can be linked by Bluetooth to our home computers without a problem. AT&T says the SIM card is fine and advised me to check with Nokia and Ford about a fix. That is why I am posting here. I already contacted SyncMyRide (Ford's customer support service for Sync) and worked with a service rep on the problem. After going through a lot of Q&A which included resetting Sync and clearing Bluetooth cache on the phone, he told me to install Sync V1.3 (was at V1.1). After installing the latest Sync update, and pairing the E63 again, nothing changed. The problem still exists. My wife is about to turn off Sync's Bluetooth.Does anybody have a clue whether or not this phone (and any other E series Nokia running the same OS) will function properly with Sync?

When I call local numbers with in UK the reciever of call is not able to see my number "BLOCKED" appears to the caller. however when I call to someone in India then the reciever is able to see my number on the phone.
