Jul 23, 2010I have a Nokia E72 device.When a contact calls me I see his/her number, but I don't see his/her name, although I have the name with the number in the contacts list. What should I do in order to see the name of the contact when s/he calls me?

Mar 28, 2012Is there a fast way to add the number one in front of all out going calls? And also when setting up the phone number in the contacts list? My husband and I both have Iphones and I set up my phone numbers with the area code included. But recently when I called his phone, his phone never rang and went straight to voicemail. He did not receive the voicemail for more than an hour after I called him. If I had been in an emergency he would not have received the message. We called our provider ATT which had this answer.....even though I had the area code included I should have had the number one in front of the area code and then the call would have gone through.
ATT states that this is a "new regulation" that is going through the FCC. If that is true then I think 99.9% of the population has not heard of it. If that is true then why doesn't the newest phone - the Iphone 4S - have a capability to auto set the number one before dialing and auto set the fact that a phone number is required to have the area code with each phone number that is stored. I look forward to any resolutions to my question. Otherwise it is another manual job of going thru each phone contact and adding the information "required" by the FCC.

The contacts that do NOT have the # sign are all listed in nice alphabetical order. But the ones WITH a # sign are all listed at the top of the list as if they are in a group - only I've not created them as a group.

May 28, 2010I have just bought a Nokia 2220 slide, and have always had Nokias and loved them, as easy to use. However, I can not make this phone display the number that is calling? For example I have added my home number as a contact, as well as my partners mobile, and both phones when they ring it comes up as "call" and then if I miss the call, it states (no number). And I know for a fact both of these numbers are not private. Is there a setting I need to change to make the number display? I have turned on my info display for other callers, but this has not helped.

Jun 30, 2010I have read about this on this forum and others. I cant find a definitive answer. I have three contacts that are also in my ICE (in case of emergency) contact. They are my wife, my mom, and my parent's house.
When my wife calls I just see her number and her photo on the caller id. - No ICE.
When either my parents home or mom call I get ICE and MOM, but no photo. I have searched through all the ways I listed these contacts and cannot figure out how I got my wife's to "work". I want a way to tell the phone to not display the caller id from ICE.

Feb 1, 2010I have just installed spb windows mobile shell 3.5 on my phone everyhting works great except for the caller id. When getting an incoming call only the picture shows up, but no name or number at all. The funny thing is if i ignore, then all the info shows up in my missed calls list. Is this a bug in the spb software or is there a windows setting i missed? P.S. I've already tried the registry fix for call id match, ive used the key value 7, 10, and 11 hoping it would recognize, but it doesnt.

However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

Oct 9, 2013Ok I have a new problem which I think was caused by me accidentally deleting my email live tile I could not find how to replace the tile it was only tonight that I realised that it was listed as linked inbox!
anyway the only way I could see to replace the tile was to remove and add my email accounts.
Now when I get a call I get the incoming number but not the name and if I look in the call history there is just the number, when I look later it has the name displayed.
Why the names are not being displayed, I am tempted to do a full reset but my 920 bricked when I did it and it is not back from repair yet so I am scarred to do it on my 1020.

Jun 2, 2011I purchased an unlocked Telus Storm 2 - 9550. Currently using this phone on the Rogers network. Phone works great, but caller id does not fully work. If someone calls me on a land line the caller id works great and name appears as in my contact list. If someone calls me on a cell phone I get unknown number. I have tried battery pull and tried changing encryption or the smart dialing settings.

Neither am I able to hear any voice from the other side nor the person on the other side is able to hear me. Dec 3, 2015I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?
