Can I change the outgoing number that shows up on others caller id from my Torch 9810? I would like it to display my toll-free number instead of my actual cell phone number.

That said here is the issue:
I bought a BB 9650 unlocked from Verizon, and i am using it in Canada with Fido, and when i get phone calls from people, it shows up as unknown number, but i realize i have these people numbers stored on my contact list super weird.
I loaded all my accounts and all my contacts are there but when someone calls the caller id doesnt match to my contacts and just shows the number, if I go to save that call to a contact, the number is already there..

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Bold 9900 running software version 7.1.0.523.When I get phone calls from certain private numbers, if I make an outgoing phone call the number on my display will switch to "private number" and not be logged in the call log. The only way to fix this is when a non-private number phone call is received or to take out the sim and put it back in again.I have replaced SIM, wiped and reloaded OS, but still experiencing the same issues.

Now, i am not able to make & receive any calls, everytime i try to call a number it shows an error message:- Congestion. Also, on top of my caller screen it shows a different number than mine.When i go to Advance system settings>SIM Card, it does shows my number BUT in Service Status it shows a different number. contacted one AT&T outlet and they say that it is a used phone not the new one because the number it shows belongs to the old user and the network my phone is showing is Edge which is not supportive in my Gophone scheme. I called up the number which is showing in my phone but the person says that he never owned or sold any phone.

This is not the case when I receive and incoming call and during the call I receive another incoming call (call waiting) the caller id works just fine.
Already tried Hard and Soft Resets.
We need to turn OFF the display of the phone's number on outgoing calls.
I've found several things on the Internet that show how to do this. They ALL (so far) send me into phone/settings/calls then tell me to select "MORE SETTINGS" I DO NOT have a "more settings". I have an "additional settings" where that would be, but all that's in there is TTY mode and Hearing aids.

My husband and I both have Iphones and I set up my phone numbers with the area code included. But recently when I called his phone, his phone never rang and went straight to voicemail. He did not receive the voicemail for more than an hour after I called him. If I had been in an emergency he would not have received the message. We called our provider ATT which had this answer.....even though I had the area code included I should have had the number one in front of the area code and then the call would have gone through.
ATT states that this is a "new regulation" that is going through the FCC. If that is true then I think 99.9% of the population has not heard of it. If that is true then why doesn't the newest phone - the Iphone 4S - have a capability to auto set the number one before dialing and auto set the fact that a phone number is required to have the area code with each phone number that is stored. I look forward to any resolutions to my question. Otherwise it is another manual job of going thru each phone contact and adding the information "required" by the FCC.
