I loaded all my accounts and all my contacts are there but when someone calls the caller id doesnt match to my contacts and just shows the number, if I go to save that call to a contact, the number is already there..

When I make an outgoing call and during a call if I receive and incoming call (Call Waiting) Caller id always shows "unknown".
This is not the case when I receive and incoming call and during the call I receive another incoming call (call waiting) the caller id works just fine.
Already tried Hard and Soft Resets.
Ok I have a new problem which I think was caused by me accidentally deleting my email live tile I could not find how to replace the tile it was only tonight that I realised that it was listed as linked inbox!
anyway the only way I could see to replace the tile was to remove and add my email accounts.
Now when I get a call I get the incoming number but not the name and if I look in the call history there is just the number, when I look later it has the name displayed.
Why the names are not being displayed, I am tempted to do a full reset but my 920 bricked when I did it and it is not back from repair yet so I am scarred to do it on my 1020.
I know there have been similar issue like mine with other phones, i have looked through alot of threads and found no solution. ive also noticed that it seem to be an issue with only Verizon phones
That said here is the issue:
I bought a BB 9650 unlocked from Verizon, and i am using it in Canada with Fido, and when i get phone calls from people, it shows up as unknown number, but i realize i have these people numbers stored on my contact list super weird.
Can I change the outgoing number that shows up on others caller id from my Torch 9810? I would like it to display my toll-free number instead of my actual cell phone number.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have read about this on this forum and others. I cant find a definitive answer. I have three contacts that are also in my ICE (in case of emergency) contact. They are my wife, my mom, and my parent's house.
When my wife calls I just see her number and her photo on the caller id. - No ICE.
When either my parents home or mom call I get ICE and MOM, but no photo. I have searched through all the ways I listed these contacts and cannot figure out how I got my wife's to "work". I want a way to tell the phone to not display the caller id from ICE.
Just got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

Pushed the power button to wake it up and now all I see or can do is view a static screen. It flashes on and off by itself ever so often. What should I do?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had a Lumia 1020 for a while. I've been connecting it to a Win7 desktop to offload pictures at work, and I connect it to a Win8.1 desktop at home. Today, I plug in my 1020 to my Win7 machine and it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. I reboot the machine, still won't show up. I go to devices and printers in control panel and I delete the driver, replug in my phone, and upon discovery, it's now trying to install a Lumia 909, which fails, BTW... So I can't offload picts to my Win7 box. I need to try it with my Win8.1 machine.

Got the 950 last week and had to do a hard reset to get it running properly (battery drain, sluggish, etc) Added Windows Insider and it seems to be running the way I would expect a highend phone to run. One thing I have noticed, even before the reset is that when I get an incoming phone call (from my wife for example) it only shows her phone number and not her photo, contact information, ringtone, etc.

- I go into the Phone App
- Bring up my address book, find persons name and select it
- If I have two numbers for that person it brings up a screen showing both numbers and I can select one if I want to ring it.
- But if I only have one number for a person, as soon as I select their name from the address book it starts ringing them
- Which is annoying if I'm just trying to find out what their number is so I can write it down...or dial it from a different phone.
i'm using 1020, Denim update. When i want to use Navi, i do can select the street and the city as a destination, but i can't find the option for entering the specific adress number.

I work on AC's so it can be a little loud.Prob is that when I open up the phone function and start dialing a number, the keypad volume is at, like, the speakerphone volumeAnd ridiculously loud. View 18 Replies View RelatedI have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.

One things I've noticed is that when I'm streaming video from YouTube, etc the 1020 doesn't show how much of the video has been buffered. The 800 used to show me with every app, whether is was browser videos or through MetroTube/Supertube. None of these show how much has been buffered on the 1020. Is this a WP8 bug?

OIS works with Auto Focus
OIS works when we manually set focus to infinity
But OIS doesn't work when Focus is on Manual.
However In Video mode,
OIS works in all 3 cases, i.e. OIS works whether focus is Auto or to infinity or Focus is Manual.
Let us request Nokia to look into this matter and release an update to Nokia Camera app to fix this issue.
I wasn't sure if I should post this under iPhone or iTunes so forgive me if this is in the wrong place. Basically, there are discrepancies between my iTunes library and what's on my iPhone. Yes, everything is checked and I know how to sync. I also understand all the nuances of artist names, genres, etc. It appears that all of the music is there, but it doesn't all show up when sorting my artist, song or album. Here are 2 examples:
I have 2 Amy Winehouse records in my iTunes library; Back to Black and Lioness. Both records are also on my iPhone. However, when I pull the list of records by ARTIST only Lioness shows up. To find Back to Black, I have to sort by ALBUM and then I can find it. I have 4 Norah Jones records in my library; Come Away with Me, The Fall, Little Broken Hearts and Not Too Late. All records are also on my iPhone. However, when I sort by ARTIST only 3 of the records appear (the Fall is missing). If I sort by ALBUM, it is there.
These are 2 examples, but there are several more. This is very annoying because I can't always remember the name of records but I do remember the artist, of course. I have tried re-syncing. I have looked very carefully at the artist name to make sure they all appear EXACTLY the same...they do. No spaces, nothing.
How can I backup my contacts?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had a L920 before this, performed the back up of the old phone and such. When I first turned on my L1020, I skipped the full back up process as I did not have Wifi available to download all the apps and etc. My contacts however, were all there on the initial set up. After I got home later in the afternoon, I reset my L1020 and restarted the process to get the full back up from the original L920. All my apps, messages and even Facebook contacts got added back on. However, I have no contacts in terms of phone numbers and such. I still have those details on my L920. Is there any way of getting the contacts on L1020 besides manual??
