I bought nokia lumia 900. Very nice phone but I have 1 problem every time when someone call me it shows unknown caller but contact is in my phone why that ? I used contact transfer.
View 1 RepliesJust got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked Telus Storm 2 - 9550. Currently using this phone on the Rogers network. Phone works great, but caller id does not fully work. If someone calls me on a land line the caller id works great and name appears as in my contact list. If someone calls me on a cell phone I get unknown number. I have tried battery pull and tried changing encryption or the smart dialing settings.

This is not the case when I receive and incoming call and during the call I receive another incoming call (call waiting) the caller id works just fine.
Already tried Hard and Soft Resets.
I had the tour first and since upgrading to .732 since the BOLD has the same software and i now have the bold 9650-verizon. When my phone rings the last callers name will come up first then automatically change to current caller.Has this been happening to anyone?

I bought a BB 9650 unlocked from Verizon, and i am using it in Canada with Fido, and when i get phone calls from people, it shows up as unknown number, but i realize i have these people numbers stored on my contact list super weird.

As of a couple of days ago, I haven't been receiving messaging notifications.I still recieve the message, they just don't show up on the live tile, the lock screen or make a sound.Also, whenever I recieve a call, I don't get their caller ID. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a new N8. My previous phone was HTC touch diamond 2. In the HTC, you could block the caller id to people not in the contacts list. For example, only people whose numbers were stored on your phone/sim card could see that you were calling. If you called anyone else, it would come up as 'Caller ID Withheld'. But now in my N8, I only have three options. Show caller id, withhold caller id and 'set by network'

Every so often on my N8, I get a call from "someone". All I see is the phone number, with no indication of who it's from. Then I find out it's from someone who should have already been listed in my contacts.
Is there any way to search through contacts by phone number? At least that way I'd know who the call was from, before calling back.
Also, is there anything to do (or not to do) that will minimize this problem? I have multiple phone numbers and email addresses for several people, but I didn't think that would create an issue.

I have followed all instructions on how to ensure my number is shown when I make a call. I went into settings, call settings, additional settings, caller ID, show number and finally hit home. I have turned phone off then on and still when I phone someone it is appearing No Caller ID.

However after the call has stopped the name is displayed in the call log, assuming of course that the person calling is in the contact list

Basically, any kind of call I make or receive (from phone, from head unit, from phonebook on head unit, typing the number in, etc) the head unit always shows "unknown caller" and neither the number or the name is displayed. Is there some kind of setting on my phone I should make to get the names to show up on the head unit? The names are displayed correctly using an iPhone.
