View 5 Replies View RelatedTrying to use app Map on Lumia 800 I am not able to find the search icon on the map allowing me to search for a place or business or shops etc. The only available icon is the search icon outside the map which only is used to search internet giving me a list of links which can not be connected to the map. I have tried to follow the instructions given in the manual however with no success. It all stops after launching the map. Note: This problem affects only the use of Map (Bing) and not Nokia Map or Nokia Drive. What am i doing wrong?
View 7 Replies View RelatedEvery so often on my N8, I get a call from "someone". All I see is the phone number, with no indication of who it's from. Then I find out it's from someone who should have already been listed in my contacts.
Is there any way to search through contacts by phone number? At least that way I'd know who the call was from, before calling back.
Also, is there anything to do (or not to do) that will minimize this problem? I have multiple phone numbers and email addresses for several people, but I didn't think that would create an issue.

As of a couple of days ago, I haven't been receiving messaging notifications.I still recieve the message, they just don't show up on the live tile, the lock screen or make a sound.Also, whenever I recieve a call, I don't get their caller ID. It just shows a number even though I definitely have them on my contacts.I'm using a Lumia 920?
View 18 Replies View RelatedJust got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn thurday morning I got tried to restart my 1020 and got a screen that says: Error: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to continue.
Things I have tried so far:
1. Soft/hard key resets - The nokia logo comes up but I can't get the exclamation mark to appear when I press the keys.
2. Windows Phone Recovery Tool - I click my phone was not detected and get it goes to the trying to find a connection page, but never connects.
3. Nokia software updater for retailer - it detects my phone and downloads, but then when I go to install it says "This device is not supported by nokia software updater for retail"
4. Nokia care suite - product support tool for store - product not supported.
Having major issues with my cellphone. I havent used my cellphone for like 6months now due to the fact that it says "ERROR: Unable to find bootable option: press any key to turn off" this happens every time it turns on, The other issue is that no PC will connect with it, I have tried different cords etc. Its a Nokia Lumia 1020. what can I do?

I took delivery of it yesterday and it's been fully charged. I've set the Date+time to 'Set Automatically' to 'On'

I had the tour first and since upgrading to .732 since the BOLD has the same software and i now have the bold 9650-verizon. When my phone rings the last callers name will come up first then automatically change to current caller.Has this been happening to anyone?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI updated my Nokia lumia 800 today, in Denmark. When updtae was finish there were a sim card problem and no signal. I, of course, tried to restore the phone with Zune, but this is not possible I only get the 801812E0 error. I tried soft and hard reset and whatever, but nothing seems to work, it looks like my sim card is fried. My wife then took the phone to the shop, and they said I had to order a new sim card, but it is not true, because the sim card works just fine if I put it into another phone. I don't care about any of the data that was on the phone, I just want it to work again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe clock of my Lumia 800 runs too fast, in a week or two, it will be 3-4 minutes ahead of time, and in a month it's already 5 minutes, this is just unacceptable. The difference gain slows down with time so to keep it within a minute I need to set the time very often (weekly).
I've tried using manual time, and automatic, both of which don't help the problem, and it seems the automatic time option doesn't even work since no matter what time you set, when you switch it to automatic, it doesn't do anything. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed by the support this phone has gotten since it's release, especially with the firmware updates.
Well I really had my hopes up for this phone, and dumped my iPhone 5 for it... now I regret it, the phone freezes almost everyday it froze the 2nd day I bought it while I was talking through a Bluetooth headset, the day after that it froze while switching between calls... and today it also froze while I was talking through my car's Bluetooth set... I don't know what's the problem with this phone and also the camera is not that good and doesn't deserve all that hype. Nokia & Microsoft you'd better fix these issues because although the Lumia 920 has many good features, I can't stand it for this regularly freezing.
P.S. I'm currently in Saudi Arabia and the Nokia Care staff here are totally useless, shame on you Nokia you should've hired a qualified staff at least.
In the menu of Nokia 800, it stated that A-GPS can be stitched off in your phone positioning settings. But I cannot find the "positioning settings" on the phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia Lumia 710 and took pictures in the month of March. On April 1st, a new tile started for April 2012, but my photos for March are no where to be found.
Some of the photos that I took in March, I assigned as the photo for contact photos and are still assigned as their photos, so it seems like they might still be in the phone some where, but where they went, I don't know.
So when I try to use my "Me Tile" to check in at a location it just gives an error message "Can't Search We're having trouble searching for nearby places right now."
I've tried master resetting phone, location services are on, battery and sim pull, no improvement. Checking for updates in phone menu, says phone is up to date, so no OTA available.
Then tried connecting to Zune on laptop, Zune can't see phone when plugged into USB, although Windows did download and install drivers. Uninstall Zune and re-install to try to fix, no improvement.Why does Nokia Drive work, but check in won't?
Before I use Nokia C600-Symbian S60 V5. I can search, find and connect the point-to-point wifi. but now I switched to lumia 920, but this wifi can't be searched and showed, let alone to be connected. anyone know the reason and how to solve the problem. because I only have this one access to use internet.

1. how do I get it to recognise downloaded videos?
2. how do I browse the files on my phone?
