The clock of my Lumia 800 runs too fast, in a week or two, it will be 3-4 minutes ahead of time, and in a month it's already 5 minutes, this is just unacceptable. The difference gain slows down with time so to keep it within a minute I need to set the time very often (weekly).
I've tried using manual time, and automatic, both of which don't help the problem, and it seems the automatic time option doesn't even work since no matter what time you set, when you switch it to automatic, it doesn't do anything. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed by the support this phone has gotten since it's release, especially with the firmware updates.
My Exchange account is set to sync "when items arrive" (which works as it should be), however if I delete the mail I received (or any other) and then check my PC or web client the message is still there... it only disappears if I click the refresh icon on my phone?
Each time I restart my phone, it loses the current date and time and set's it to some apparent random day. This last time it chose the 16th of May 2012.
I took delivery of it yesterday and it's been fully charged. I've set the Date+time to 'Set Automatically' to 'On'
Anyone notice that when using Factory widgets for the time and weather that the time doesn't update? It work fine before GB. I uninstalled it and then tried the moto and Verizon widgets the work fine.
Well I really had my hopes up for this phone, and dumped my iPhone 5 for it... now I regret it, the phone freezes almost everyday it froze the 2nd day I bought it while I was talking through a Bluetooth headset, the day after that it froze while switching between calls... and today it also froze while I was talking through my car's Bluetooth set... I don't know what's the problem with this phone and also the camera is not that good and doesn't deserve all that hype. Nokia & Microsoft you'd better fix these issues because although the Lumia 920 has many good features, I can't stand it for this regularly freezing.
P.S. I'm currently in Saudi Arabia and the Nokia Care staff here are totally useless, shame on you Nokia you should've hired a qualified staff at least.
There's a problem with my phone.. when i restart the phone.. the motion sensor doesn't work for a long time.. it only works for apps.. how to solve it?
Bought a sim-free 920 from Phones 4 U and set the date and time correctly on setup, but have noticed on two occasions that the time and date were displayed incorrectly.
I have also noted that switching to "set automatically" does not alter the time and date correctly. When I first got the phone it was set to Automatic. After the first time I noticed the incorrect time/date, I set it manually, but for some strange reason, it happened again: the date and time were incorrect.
I have set it manually again, and waiting for the problem to re-occur...
I've got a Nokia Lumia 800 and every two weeks, the time has dropped behind by about 7 minutes and I have to fix it. I've had it for just over a month and just set the time for the third time. This simply wont work as I use the phone for scheduling and appointments. Now there is meant to be the option for the time to be updated by the carrier automatically, I've been into shops and compared my phone to the new ones and mine, for some reason does not have the feature. I don't have the option to turn it on or off, I just get the ability to change date, time and timezone.
I recently bought an unlocked Lumia 900 in Australia and run it on the Telstra Network. I find it very irritating that the phone has no facility for date and time to be set from the network, particularly as my Lumia 800 did have this facility, as have alll my smartphones for the last few years, including iPhones and various flavours of Android phones, all on the Telstra network. Why does the Lumia 900 not have this facility as it is definitely supported both by the Telstra network and by the previous Lumia 800. It also doesnt help that the Lumia 900 is very inaccurate without this facility. It is beyond belief that the phone does not have what I consider to be basic, taken for granted functionality.
I have a nokia lumia 800 that is currently restarting continously in a loop everytime it is powered on. The phone will vibrate, nokia logo will display bright, then display dimmed logo and then black screen. This sequence continues in a loop and never enters windows phone.
Has anyone else had issues with the Lumia 920 showing the wrong date and time? I entered both manually when I first set up the phone as the automatic setting did not work. After a couple days I noticed that the date had changed to 1st Sep 2012 and the time was a couple of hours out. I corrected but again a couple of days later the clock is a couple of hours slow and the date was 3 weeks out. I then changed the settings to "automatic" turned the phone off and on again and the date is a week behind and the time is 3 hours fast.
In my message threads, for any messages I have sent it gives the time of the text message in the bottom right of the message. However for any that I have received it only gives the date.
Not the end of the world I know but can be handy to have the time.Is this something that is possible or do I just have to live with it?
I can set the time manually just fine. But the phone isn't super accurate at time keeping so I wanted to set it to auto. But the option just isn't there.
I'm in the U.K with T-Mobile and switched from a Nokia 5530 which had the auto time option. No idea why I can't access it on this phone?
"Other Speech commands you can turn onYou can turn on additional Speech commands and functions in your phone's settings, including talking caller ID for incoming calls and texts. Using a Lumia 800 in the UK and (believe it or not) only just realised that it hasn't auto-corrected for daylight-saving time. Can't see an option for it either - am I just missing a really obvious setting somewhere? Time/date has many place options but no DST - is that correct?
I've purchased Lumia 920 and got problem with connection to the internet. Smartphone works perfectly via WiFi, but doesn't get connection to net via operator's 3G (my tariff is supporting mobile internet). Operator - Russian MTS. At operator's site i checked all internet setting and set up they accordingly. But it doesn't work... 920 doesn't connect at all - Internet Explorer can't connect to any URL. In smartphone settings i've allow data transfer via operator. Doesn't work.A week ago i took smartphone to service center, engineers confirmed problem. Repair took a week. They updated firmware. Today i got my 920 back, inserted sim and still have no internet.
I have a lumia 800. I set up my gmail account on the phone, but none of my mails seem to be coming through. What would people recommend as the best way to try and get my gmail to come through properly? Is it likely to just be the server settings that need a tweak?
I was talking with the Rogers representative here in Canada, and he says the Lumia 900 doesn't support Name Display (as opposed to Caller ID). Is this true? Could it be possibly added via firmware changes?
Whatsapp works on 3G and WiFi but not on EDGE/GPRS. I tried reinstalling. I tried deleting account, reinstalling and re-registering. I also tried switching to 2G while it is working on WiFi.I also have updated to latest version but nothing works. It works fine on 3G and WiFi though.
I was able to charge my lumia 900 with my car (Toyota Prius 2010) USB until the latest firmware upgrade. Only catch was to use original cable came along with phone. It didn't accept any other micro USB cables. But after the latest update even the original cable doesn't work! All the cables works well to charge the phone when connected to laptop. I am having hard time using it as i frequently travel.Ideally i should be able to charge with any micro USB cable in the car. Could you guys suggest any workarounds or fixes? Not to mention my iPhone was perfect in USB recharge though it is a slow recharge.
The battery of my Lumia 800 was empty, so it turned off. I plugged in the USB-Cable and nothing happens. I even can't turn on the phone by using the power button.
why doesn't the alarm work if the nokia lumia 920 is off? this is ridiculous. windows phone is junk, nokia should have stuck with Meego Harmattan and the Nokia N9
Internet sharing does not work. I've tried the spanish keyboard thing, it does nothing. I can tether using the same SIM on my iPhone 4. I've been tethering with it for 2 years. I have seen many other reports of this issue on the internet. How long until Nokia acknowledges it?
