I have a lumia 800. I set up my gmail account on the phone, but none of my mails seem to be coming through. What would people recommend as the best way to try and get my gmail to come through properly? Is it likely to just be the server settings that need a tweak?
View 2 RepliesI can start to download them, then the process stops without any pop ups, so I start it again and it tells me it cannot reach maps at the moment. I've checked on wifi and 3G nothing seems to change.I was able to get the maps before I reseted my phone onto my xbox account.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI`m surprised that Gmail for Mobile app doesn`t work on my Nokia 6303, though it did work well with my old 6151 (and the operator is the same, nothing has changed except the phone model). It downloads properly, but when I try to open the Gmail, it keeps constantly asking for internet connection. But the connection is there! I press the "yes" but it keeps asking till finally tells to check the connectivity... And I have no problems with browsing the internet or opening and using my email accounts via web. I checked my settings but they seemed to be fine. But Gmail just doesn`t work, though I`ve tried several versions besides the newest one.

I also have the contacts in vcf format but again, can't find anything relating to importing these to the Lumia.
It's a great phone so far, but ultimately pretty useless if I can't get any contacts in there!
I'm unable to properly set up either of my Gmail accounts. My Yahoo and other Pop account are fine, but with Gmail the password changes to a longer set of characters, and only one/no emails load/s.I've tried deleting the accounts and setting them up again, to no avail.

I've tried 2 SIMs and a couple of different wifi networks, but all give this error. This happens both when using the windows phone wizard for Gmail, or by trying to set it up as an outlook exchange server. I can connect to Gmail using it's POP servers, but that sucks as I would like to have push email and have my Google contacts and calendars synced!
I recently upgraded my Xperia x10 to android 2.3.3. After that i started using Internet on my phone. Now googlel applications like gmail and google maps, which already existed on the phone are getting downloaded again automatically even without a prior permission from the user. I also cannot possibly figure out a way to stop these downloads. Is there anyway i can prevent these automatic downloads?

Nevertheless, I used the Android Sideload Wonder Machine (after many pain staking days of trying to load the JDK & SDK) I finally loaded my surveillance system software and it works. However, the surveillance system also sends emails to my Google account whenever it sense motion in the room. When I access the email, the JPG file is attached, but I can't view it inline. I can only download it to view the picture. Given the email and the JPG attachment are related to security issues, I need a fast way of viewing the JPG file without having to download or use the browser. Both are time consuming efforts

However, the same is working on the wireless network.I have probably reset my phone to factory settings/repaired the installation atleast 3 times in the past for other problems such as missing entries in call logs, slow response, etc. I am on Anrdroid 2.1 Random reboots happen almost thrice a week and phone response is very slow. View 8 Replies View RelatedThe clock of my Lumia 800 runs too fast, in a week or two, it will be 3-4 minutes ahead of time, and in a month it's already 5 minutes, this is just unacceptable. The difference gain slows down with time so to keep it within a minute I need to set the time very often (weekly).
I've tried using manual time, and automatic, both of which don't help the problem, and it seems the automatic time option doesn't even work since no matter what time you set, when you switch it to automatic, it doesn't do anything. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed by the support this phone has gotten since it's release, especially with the firmware updates.
I've purchased Lumia 920 and got problem with connection to the internet. Smartphone works perfectly via WiFi, but doesn't get connection to net via operator's 3G (my tariff is supporting mobile internet). Operator - Russian MTS. At operator's site i checked all internet setting and set up they accordingly. But it doesn't work... 920 doesn't connect at all - Internet Explorer can't connect to any URL. In smartphone settings i've allow data transfer via operator. Doesn't work.A week ago i took smartphone to service center, engineers confirmed problem. Repair took a week. They updated firmware. Today i got my 920 back, inserted sim and still have no internet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was able to charge my lumia 900 with my car (Toyota Prius 2010) USB until the latest firmware upgrade. Only catch was to use original cable came along with phone. It didn't accept any other micro USB cables. But after the latest update even the original cable doesn't work! All the cables works well to charge the phone when connected to laptop. I am having hard time using it as i frequently travel.Ideally i should be able to charge with any micro USB cable in the car. Could you guys suggest any workarounds or fixes?Not to mention my iPhone was perfect in USB recharge though it is a slow recharge.
