I recently upgraded my Xperia x10 to android 2.3.3. After that i started using Internet on my phone. Now googlel applications like gmail and google maps, which already existed on the phone are getting downloaded again automatically even without a prior permission from the user. I also cannot possibly figure out a way to stop these downloads. Is there anyway i can prevent these automatic downloads?

Nevertheless, I used the Android Sideload Wonder Machine (after many pain staking days of trying to load the JDK & SDK) I finally loaded my surveillance system software and it works. However, the surveillance system also sends emails to my Google account whenever it sense motion in the room. When I access the email, the JPG file is attached, but I can't view it inline. I can only download it to view the picture. Given the email and the JPG attachment are related to security issues, I need a fast way of viewing the JPG file without having to download or use the browser. Both are time consuming efforts

However, the same is working on the wireless network.I have probably reset my phone to factory settings/repaired the installation atleast 3 times in the past for other problems such as missing entries in call logs, slow response, etc. I am on Anrdroid 2.1 Random reboots happen almost thrice a week and phone response is very slow. At first I thought it was just when my wifi was turned on (didn't have to be connected), now it's all the time. I'm on Verizon, version 13B. I click on the Ovi store app button and it pops up the symbol(Nokia Ovi) and sits there for eternity. I have reset the phone 3 times and to no avail, it continues.
