I've missed something in the instructions but I cannot seem to fathom out how to download my photos to out desktop, phone is connected by USB cable etc etc, but I can't see what to do next.
View 3 RepliesI have a new Blackberry Curve 8520. I have been trying to download the desktop software. First, I put in the CD into the disk drive, but it did not read the desktop software off there. I then attempted to download it from the AT&T Blackberry website. An InstallShield appeared and after several minutes it said that the software was installed and that if it did automatically appear on the screen I should open it up from the start menu under programs. Unfortunately, I did not see the program listed in the start menu.

So I attempted to update it from the web page and then it would open up my BlackBerry desktop manager and only offer 4.5. I thought that it was compatible with 8330's... Is it not? View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got this Blackberry on Dec 31, '09.I installed the DM software from the CD and now I was going to attempt to synchronize my phone with the desktop for the first time.When I plugged the phone in to the PC, it immediately said there were updates available and I just kept hitting Next until it apparently started the 12-step update process.Now my PC has been sitting at the download step (Step 3 of 12) downloading the same module for over 30 minutes now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Lumia 1020 and takes lots of photos with it. When we are traveling we can use our laptop to view the camera roll when the phone is connected to the USB port. However, when we are at home and she plugs it into her desktop with a USB cable, the photos do not display correctly
What happens when the camera roll is opened is that the photos start rendering fine and then at some point they stop. The progress bar across the top of Windows Explorer continues to move but nothing happens. I have tried it several times with different USB cables and ports and each time it does the same thing. It doesn't always stop at the same place either. Sometimes it will render 10 photos and a different time it will render 25. However, it never makes it through the entire contents.

I've managed with the photos but can't get more than a couple of videos from the bb onto the desktop (using desktop software). Not sure if they are on the phone or media card. View 3 Replies View RelatedI successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. I just got a new samsung s6 edge previously an apple user and really annoyed by this phone, all I hear from friends is apple is so crap well I've never had an issue with iphones for me they worked how they were meant to work, now I have the s6 edge and problem after problem doing the most basic of things, the most annoying of which is photos.
I'm trying to drag photos from the dcim folder of the phone to my windows 8.1 desktop, obviously connected by usb I have the drivers installed etc have used both the mtp and ptp options in phone, neither option works each time I drag to desktop all the windows close screen turns grey like explorer crashes and the desktop refreshes, also done copy and paste does the same thing.
I don't want to use software as only way to do it which is slow and laborious is like google photos etc. surely if its treated as a storage device just copy and drag, really annoyed as it should be so simple.
Redownloaded desktop manager today. Wasn't working. Download complete - no roxio on my computer software - should it show up separately? Will sync. Tells me no photos to download. Mass storage mode is on.

I just updated the Blackberry Desktop Software, and thank goodness it's stopped using Roxio bloatware to transfer my photos off of my phone (Pearl 8110). Unfortunately, the new MediaSync doesn't sync with the internal memory of my phone, so it appears that my photos are stranded for the moment. I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem, and what solution you would recommend. I looked through the technical support docs, and I don't think I found anything that fits this.
1) Do I have to find an older version of the Blackberry Desktop software, transfer the photos, then upgrade again to the newest version with Media Sync and purchase a microSD card?
2) If I purchased a microSD card and installed it, would directing the camera to store on the microSD card automatically move over the photos I've already taken?

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
How can I change the name of the taken photos from camera, cuz every time I upload my photos to a cloud storage and empty my phone, the name of the photos retune automatically to DCS_0022. So when I upload the photos again to the cloud I have to rename them because there are other photos with the same name.

I've tried reinstalling the desktop manager already but still cannot find it, nor were there any options during the installation to include it.
