I previously had Nokia N8 phone, but i bought brand new Lumia 900. So my question is that is there any way to get paid apps which i had in N8 to Lumia? I couldnt find any Nokia Ovi app at Lumia where i thought i might be able to re download the app

It is a paid application so, when I get a message, maximum download attempts reached, it is very upsetting. I have logged feedback request via the built in feature in the application store and you can see clearly Nokia does not care what response they send a person.Upon further research, I find some other applications have this issue too. But when I began browsing through the Ovi Store and decided to try and download some free apps, I get to the downloading screen but that's as far as I can go; the downloading bar never goes past 0%. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Is it maybe because I have no internet plan? I've tried to make new screen names and looked up online everywhere on this issue but still can't find an answer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was downloading applications on my phone and during the process it would stop working. I closed out of the Ovi store and now it will not even open. I click on the Ovi store app button and it pops up the symbol(Nokia Ovi) and sits there for eternity. I have reset the phone 3 times and to no avail, it continues. I have uninstalled the application 4-5 times and even tried to download the earlier version. I still can't get into the Ovi store.
I am not sure what happened. I contacted Nokia and they say that my phone doesnt support the Ovi store. My question is HOW was i downloading apps for a week and all of a sudden it just doesnt work. Why would ONE phone not be supported by nokia when clearly on the box, in the instructions, etc., it states that the Ovi store is accessable? I have had this phone for a week and a half and it already has these problems? What kind of smart phone CANT support or download applications, themes, and games.

When ever i try to install Qt apps on my phone, it ask me for installing the package but the installation stops during ' preparing installation' and does not go through ' finalising installation'. After this i does find the nokia smart installer icon but when i click on it, it says ' no installation pending'. I can also find the application in application manager but can't find its icon anywhere. Some Qt apps does install properly but many including wellness diary, nokia drop, etc doesn't install. My device is Nokia X6 16 GB and i have latest firmware and all Qt components installed on my device.

But when I select any app (press/options) or longpress, all I get is details about the app. There is no option to uninstall or do anything else. Just things like the rss widget (at last!) and the fancy clocks etc.However it consumed another 15mb of precious c drive leaving the phone with just 5mb and lots of messages to make space.Having the 2.1 microsoft apps I tried deleting the powerpoint broadcast app (i never use) which then removed the whole office app suite!So I formatted the mass memory- did a *#7370# and started again. Connected to the PC suite and there was only one piece of software to update a social update.I am now on 111.030.0609.223.01 - which should have ms apps = but no ms apps on my phone!!What should I do? Why the heck can't you download it from nokia store and is my only option a visit to nokia care?
