I'm getting REALLY P'd off with not getting Apps in the Symbian format.
REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY annoyed.
The phone is fine. The available Apps are
C--p. All the things I want come in I.Pod/Phone/Pad or Android. What on earth is Nokia playing at making it SO hard. I've had a Nokia for years. I'm stuck with this one for another eighteen months. Then, unless they get their act together - NEVER AGAIN
I can't get my C3-00 (with Opera Mini) to install apps. Whether I download them using the phone (like from Ovi.com) or my computer and put them on the phone later, the apps show up under "games" just fine, but when I open them, it says "opening application" and immediately "closing application". Then I get an error such as "class not found, java/lang/ClassNotFoundExeception appname"
i am unable to install many Qt apps from the nokia store. When ever i try to install Qt apps on my phone, it ask me for installing the package but the installation stops during ' preparing installation' and does not go through ' finalising installation'. After this i does find the nokia smart installer icon but when i click on it, it says ' no installation pending'. I can also find the application in application manager but can't find its icon anywhere. Some Qt apps does install properly but many including wellness diary, nokia drop, etc doesn't install. My device is Nokia X6 16 GB and i have latest firmware and all Qt components installed on my device.
I want to uninstall some apps from my newly-purchased C5-03. Other posts here describe doing this by going to application manager>installed apps, selecting the app concerned and then Options. But when I select any app (press/options) or longpress, all I get is details about the app. There is no option to uninstall or do anything else. There is nothing about this in the help file or the user manual. How do I uninstall apps?
When i try to install Qt apps from Nokia store, it shows installing the app and nokia installer packages but at the end during "preparing installation", installation stops without "finalising installation" and the Qt app doesn't get installed in the phone. My device is Nokia X6-00, a Symbian^1 S60v5 device with the latest firmware. All Qt components are already installed.
I previously had Nokia N8 phone, but i bought brand new Lumia 900. So my question is that is there any way to get paid apps which i had in N8 to Lumia? I couldnt find any Nokia Ovi app at Lumia where i thought i might be able to re download the app
I lately discovered that when i download any jar. app and want to launch, it displays 'file not suppurted. Is there any thing i can do to restore this situation and start opening my jar. files? Or is nokia c3 generally not supporting jar. files?

I have read that there is an update to micrsoft apps v 2.01, but I can't seem to find it nor via SW update or via nokia suite. I have a nokia 700, where can I download it?
I just got the "Homescreen widgets" software update which appears to be a Belle Refresh "lite" on my N8. Just things like the rss widget (at last!) and the fancy clocks etc. However it consumed another 15mb of precious c drive leaving the phone with just 5mb and lots of messages to make space.Having the 2.1 microsoft apps I tried deleting the powerpoint broadcast app (i never use) which then removed the whole office app suite! So I formatted the mass memory- did a *#7370# and started again. Connected to the PC suite and there was only one piece of software to update a social update.I am now on 111.030.0609.223.01 - which should have ms apps = but no ms apps on my phone!!What should I do? Why the heck can't you download it from nokia store and is my only option a visit to nokia care?
I am using Nokia E63 Mobile Device. Recently I re-installed my Mobile Operating System through Nokia Customer Care - but still I am seeing Application references in 'App Manager'. How do I completely remove / Delete these application references from my Device?
It's simple the installation of QT apps fail, before the phone tell me that i need to download 12.55 MB it show a dialog that says (downloading 1/6) and before download the first appear anothe dialog bog sayin "Installation failed" and basically tell me try it again. My phone is a Nokia 5530 FW Ver 40.0.003...
I am using a N8-00 device, in Ovi Store i want to download an install some applications, and apps doesn't download but it's connected to internet. How can i stop to download application?
why I am being asked to pay for apps I've already purchased from the Nokia Store? I have not reached the download limit so how the **bleep** am I supposed to get the purchased apps back without having to pay AGAIN?
I downloaded the Microsoft Apps 2.1 via SW update but it is not getting installed. I get an error as "Unfortunately there was a problem getting your updates. You can use your 603 as normal. Please try again later to complete the update". I tried more than 20 times now, but everytime I get the same error.
Is there a problem with Microsoft Apps for 603? I have enough memory on my phone to have this 45 MB application installed. I do not where the downloaded file gets saved. Does anybody know about this.
And how do I uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Apps from my phone, I do not see an option for that on the icon.
I wanna know what do i do to close open apps such as chat,watsapp..bucz i thought not being them means thewre closed. Buh wen i wanted to go on my mail it said to much opened apps, then it showed me all that was open an choose one. I have N8 and new 808 Pure View. On N8 I deleted the "Broadcast", "LYNC" and "SHARE POINT" as have not use for them. This did not delete the Office apps (excel and word).
On my 808 I opted to delete Lync and this caused deleting of all MS apps including office.
Did anyone try to delete Lync and Share Point on 808 device? Is it same? how to remove just Lync and Share Point?
when ever i do hard format in my symbian belle, i cant see the apps installed in my memory card while when i check the files via 3rd party app like x-plore, i found they r present. The application manager ie- in ''already installed'' also don't show any apps. Thus i always have to re install those apps and due to this some missing apps that r already installed in the card simply uses some amount of free space that is for no use So tell me if there any way to prevent the apps from not showing in menu as well in app manager after hard reset.
here in my country they block many sites and many apps like also at work the IT is blocking some sites also.is there any application to unblock sites and other apps??? I have a friend has a Sony Ericson Mobile with android OS and he has an app called orbot and it works perfectly.
2 days ago i tried to download some apps from ovi store from by web browser &suddenly ovi store in my phone opened & from then i am not able to download any app from ovi store.
I recently picked up a Nokia Asha 300; I am able to start the pre-installed apps and games without problems. However, after downloading some games and apps from the ovi store, I noticed that every time I started one of them, it asked to go online. If I didn't let it, it wouldn't start.
I do not intend to use this phone with any kind of data plan, at least currently. And even if I did, does that mean I would never be able to start any downloaded games while on a plane or somewhere without any network coverage? Or am I just missing something?
