I can set the time manually just fine. But the phone isn't super accurate at time keeping so I wanted to set it to auto. But the option just isn't there.
I'm in the U.K with T-Mobile and switched from a Nokia 5530 which had the auto time option. No idea why I can't access it on this phone?
I have 30 users all with brand new Lumia 800's. We have found the option to set an Outlook "Out of Office" message or automatic reply is missing. From what I have managed to ascertain this should be an option in the Outlook settings below the Synchronisation Settings bar.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI know many 1320 users don't have the option for automatic time settings. I have it, but it is useless. I noticed my time was messed up while it was on, so I did a test. I changed the time 5 minutes back, and I turned on the automatic setting. I have data and location on. I checked an hour later, my time is still off the Microsoft server time with 5 minutes. Nothing happens.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to the Lumia (last night!), so I suspect I'm doing something daft. I've just updated my phone with the black update, and now there are no more phone updates to download. When I go into extras+info, the software release is Lumia Black.
However, when I go into the camera settings, I still can't see an option to shoot in DNG - it's still only the 2 jpg options that are there. Is there another step that I need to follow before this becomes available?
how the automatic time update function works on the Nokia 701 and the like? Mine is enabled and seems to update when my phone connects to a data source (e.g. when retrieving email or when browsing websites) but the time retrieved seems to be about two minutes slow. Where does the phone get it's time signal from? Is this a network thing (i.e. it is Orange that is running slow) or does it obtain the time from a Nokia server?
Finally can I change the server it obtains the time from?
This is very odd.. But after a factory reset Nokia Camera no longer shows the option to enable live images in the settings. Not sure how this could've happened. I came across the app "Lumia Camera Classic" which does allow me to enable this option.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI set up a Gmail mailbox on my N86 phone using e-mail wizard (IMAP). It works fine in connecting to the Gmail, and send/receive e-mails. But my problem is with automatic retrieval; every time it wants to check my mailbox, it asks me to choose access point. That means automatically retrieval acts just like manual retrieval because if I am not there when it is trying to retrieve e-mails, it won't connect, so when I come to my phone, I just see a "Select connection" box giving me three options:
Search for WLAN Internet WAP services. My phone settings regarding to Access Point and Email configuration are as below:
Settings > Connection > Packet Data > Packet Data Connection > When Available
Settings > Connection > Destinations > Internet > 1 access point (default destination)
My access point setting says "Use access point = Automatically"
E-mail settings > Global settings : there is no configuration for access point or connection. The available options in this page:

E-mail settings > Mailbox settings:

I listed my available settings because I noticed different options in different tutorials. Even my phone's manual has some different options than my phone. I didn't list WLAN options because I don't have any WLAN network. So to make it short, I want my phone to retrieve e-mails from my GMail account automatically, without asking me about connection and access point each time. BTW, my phone's web browser works fine, and makes connection when needed without asking me about the access point to use. I hope someone can suggest me a solution because I like this e-mail application in my new phone, but it is strange to me that it cannot use the default access point and always needs to ask me.
I've had a nokia 5800 for about 6 or 7 months now. when I got the phone I turned on the automatic time update and it kept time really well. Then it got to about november last year and suddenly it jumped ahead 1 hour. Now every morning I have to turn on auto update (since the phone wont keep time without it), let the time update, change the time back one hour and tell it I havn't changed time zones. I live in Perth Western Australia and we dont use daylight savings so I dont know what is going on with it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.
I bought my nokia n900 around 10 days back, works absolutely fantastic, gives me atleast 14-15hrs or battery life. yesterday i installed a couple of applications like MYMENU and MYTUBE. i checked it then and there and did not find it very good. so i uninstalled it. after that i cannot find 'MORE' option which is at the right bottom of the menu screen. dont know what to do know. even if i tap on the empty space at the right bottom it comes up to my dashboard.
is there an option to add album artwork in the music library like the n96 and 95...if so where is it?

On the Advanced Mailbox settings, there is no Incoming mailbox or Outgoing mailbox settings option. I've searched high and low but can't find anything that will let me have access to the Outgoing mailbox.

Before I upgrade S60, "refresh" option could be found at
Go to Music ( from main menu ) then go to Music Library( not Music Store ) so the screen displays Artists, Albums etc. Press Options and Refresh Library is second option.
After upgrading, "refresh" disappeared.
I have those old items too, but "Refresh library" is slotted between "Show open apps." and "Go to Music store". Strange how yours isn't showing...
I guess this issue caused by the new SW update(v 11.0.045).

I have taken thousands of Pureview photos from past two months, only to realize that it became extreamly difficult to search a photo. View 2 Replies View RelatedThere used to be an option whereby you could print photos via usb cable to a printer. This option has been removed - was there a reason for this, or is it a bug? It would be great if the developers could issue a small update that would address this problem. My phone (N8) has a fantastic camera and not being able to print photos from it is very disappointing. I know there is a workaround by transferrring photos to a computer first and then printing from there, but that is a hassle and shouldn't be necessary.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI took the plunge with my first Blackberry (Curve 8530) last month. I'm curious as to why there's no option to have the map automatically scroll while driving? I'm currently using a combination of Blackberry Maps and Google Maps. I can get directions or view the route on the map, but some form of a turn-by-turn feature would be nice (kind of expected to be honest). Am I missing something? I know there are other options re: GPS software for the Blackberry but I've either found those options to be somewhat buggy/non-intuitive OR they are fee-based (TeleNav, Garmin, etc). If I'm going to pay $, I can easily score a dedicated in-car GPS device for <$70.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the iphone 4S, and have had trouble with the automatic date/time and my ical reminders/appt. I live in Phoenix but the default time zone is Cupertino, and that doesn't change unless I switch it to manual. So after inputing events and reminders, and then have daylight savings happen, ( 1 hour difference between Phoenix and Cupertino) all my events/reminders changed that 1 hour as well. Is there any way to fix this without using the manual time zone function?

Each time I restart my phone, it loses the current date and time and set's it to some apparent random day. This last time it chose the 16th of May 2012.
I took delivery of it yesterday and it's been fully charged. I've set the Date+time to 'Set Automatically' to 'On'
Suddenly, the phone's clock started showing a time that was offset by two hours for my local time.
I deselected automatic time zone and auto date/time and set them manually. If I return it to automatic, it will show my precise location but the timezone and local time would be offset by two hours (earlier, not later).
Currently, I have auto date/time and selected my time zone automatically. It shows the right date and time but the screen showing my current position still shows the clock two hours behind.
