Nokia Nseries :: Print Option In Gallery Missing In Belle?
Nov 26, 2012
There used to be an option whereby you could print photos via usb cable to a printer. This option has been removed - was there a reason for this, or is it a bug? It would be great if the developers could issue a small update that would address this problem. My phone (N8) has a fantastic camera and not being able to print photos from it is very disappointing. I know there is a workaround by transferrring photos to a computer first and then printing from there, but that is a hassle and shouldn't be necessary.
Nokia 808 Belle FP2's gallery is still crippled. There is no way to organize photos into folders or tag them in any useful manner. And there no possibility to select multiple items for sharing etc. Gallery cannot zoom images that are downloaded to the phone from other sources no matter how big these images are.
None of these limitations were present in Symbian Anna, so this is a major drawback and downgrade in terms of features even this 808 shoud be Nokias's current flag ship phone on photography domain.
I have taken thousands of Pureview photos from past two months, only to realize that it became extreamly difficult to search a photo. In Nokia Pureview 808 specification page on web i have seen following features included.Photos viewed byMonthSlide showAlbumTag cloudCamera featuresTime-lapseI have checked Camera UI many time but could not find either Album or Time-lapse options. Please let me know if i am missing some thing here. Also let me know is there atleast any third party sofware to browse though photos easy way?
Last week I noticed that all my photos and videos have are missing from gallery and i thought I might have deleted them accidentally, but discovered tht after taking a picture they go missing withing a short time, A carefull search with OVI suite and my PC revealed tht all the videos and photos are still in the E;mass memory but for some reason I cant access them from my phone.
I also noticed tht there seem to be a problem with the E:mass memory when I access it through file manager. I cannot access any of my folders saved in the E: memory.
i just upgrade anna to belle... but most of my games apps were lost... is it really lost or just the shortcuts were lost... i tried searching them but still cant find them...
i have a Nokia N8 i just update it to belle . after the update there are several applications are missed,i've installed them via store and most of applications are paid onces.. like, theft aware, fruit ninja, call recorder, angry birds. ect.. now i cant find them only 3 of applications are showing...
Well like most I have updated to belle on my N8 today. Unlike some others, my update went pretty smooth over all. One thing I have noticed is all RSS feed widgets are no longer available to be added to the home screen.
There was an option in N8 to store the files on a remote location via HTTP and it was really useful, but after updating to Belle this option disappeared!
Before, it was found through Settings and Connectivity > Remote drives. Is it missing in Belle or it moved to somewhere else?
After upgrading to Belle FP2 I can only set Exchange ActiveSync accounts, and only one at a time. The "other" option to set other types of email is no longer available. How can I configure IMAP/POP3 accounts?
I upgraded an N8 to Nokia Belle, and am having great difficulty with setting up email. I go to the email app and ask to create a new mailbox. No matter which email address I put into it the only option is gives me is "Exchange ActiveSync". I cannot seem to be able to add any other kind of mailbox to it.
I remember back when I upgraded from ^3 to Anna, my pictures got separated out to Photos & my videos were separated to Videos. I do not remember what I did (I think rearranged the files on my memory card) but somehow I got pictures & videos to show up under PhotosNow that I have upgraded to Belle, once again only photos shows up in Gallery. Anyone know how to get videos to show up there as well? I do not like how the previews are so small in Videos & all the detailed info is unnecessary when I am browsing
I have an N8 and a Fujifilm QS-70 printer. In the past I have been able to print photos directly from the phone to the printer by just going to the picture on my phone, and then selecting the print option. Since Nokia Belle installed, the Print option does not appear any more.
I have copied a load of songs and pictures from Windows to my E6 microSD card. The songs are working nicely, no problem there (= SD card working properly). The photos don't appear in the gallery/photo browser. When I reboot, the phone claims it is scanning for new media, but the photos don't show up.
I currently own a Nokia C7 and recently upgraded to Belle (which is fantastic) and as such Nokia Maps 3.08 was also installed. The map upgrade did not come with any homescreen widgets, and I have seen videos/screenshots of phones with a 'my position' type map widget (which fills half a homescreen) and a 'weather' widget (a bar type widget which when clicked is cleary the nokia maps weather app).how to get hold of them as I cannot find them on the Nokia store?
Since updating to Belle, I am no longer able to use the dab radio app, which renders my £40 headset obsolete. Hopefully this app will be available again soon??
I want to know if Emails can now be saved in mass memory on N8 with Nokia Belle. Using the limited C: drive space is not an option as it gets full too fast.
I see TomTom has disappeared from the Nokia store...
The Nokia Maps app does pretty good nav but whereas e.g. TT will accept a postcode like CT16 2AB, Nokia Maps (or Drive as it is called; the Drive app shares the same database with the Maps app) accepts only CT162.
Today I tried to drive from Brighton (UK) to Biggin Hill Airport but Drive could not find Biggin Hill, which is weird. So I used an old Pocket/PC PDA with TT6 to get there. The Nokia apps did not show any roads/streets for a large area around the destination and on the way back it was about half an hour before I reached a map showing roads/streets. I deleted and reloaded the UK map (400MB) from Nokia and that fixed that bizzare issue, but having two ways to do the job is obviously desirable. And TT is a better app with a better database.
I have a nokia n8-00 with the product code of 059B663 and I have the latest nokia suite (3.6) Nokia Suite says everything is updated, i livein the philippines, they say nokia belle refresh is the latest here..
Changed to Belle on my N8 a few days ago and generally found it an improvement on Anna except for one major problem. I downloaded Skype from OVI and it opens properly etc.but does not allow me to enter my password etc. and then reverts to the main screen. I am with Vodafone UK.
Is there a good app to track Belle FP2 phones using GPS? I have Googled around and I can't find anything good and by good I am referring to an app that I can use to track my phone on a website (even when it's turned off, if possible) and it should also prevent uninstalling in case the phone is lost or stolen.
I checked the Software upate application in my Nokia N8 and it says N8-00 Device software - Use your PC to update So I downloaded the latest Nokia Suite 3.3 and I checked the updates available there and I did not get anything for Nokia Belle. I also checked my product code 0599330 in the Nokia Belle availability page and it says available.
I own a N8 for 1 and half years and very happy with it. I did not upgrade to Belle because I read lots of people that were not satisfied and wanted to go back to Anna. Problems I read in the forum in various discussions:1) Camera performance in low light has deteriorated, I love my N8 mainly because of the camera
2) Battery life is worse 3) Applications will be lost and I will need to reinstall them all , plus could never get back the Nokia ones I had free through offers 4) The useful and effective Nokia clock/calendar/profile switcher has been showed the door in favor of a Andoid-style clock 5) Widgets are worse or less effective: the email and music widgets are very big that I don't think I will be very happy wasting lots of space with no alternative. 6) Widgets do not change with theme, I have my nice Anna email/music and other widgets that gets transparent or just adapt to the Theme I choose, I haven't seen that on Belle. That ugly email widget for example is always the same , white on blue.
So basically I feel that I give up lots of useful and efficient features just in order to get a OS that is more fluid , has more homescreens and I can move the widgets and shortcuts around??
I have looked around the forum and there are still people not satisfied but most comments are now old.
Just got my first N8 yesterday and already so miffed with it that I feel like going back to the iPhone 4. Its currently on Anna but want to upgrade to Belle so I install the Nokia suite 3.3.86 which is where my issues started. It takes me 20 minutes just to get to the software update tab due to the constant message of not responding! When I get to the update tab I search for updates and says after 10 minutes cannot connect to server. I tried re-installing but seems to be just as bad.I am running a 64-bit pc with high specs so doubt its my computer.

3. When the text message is recieved the screen of the N8 displays the work "popUpClock" in the top left corner and the "time, Battery, and signal" icons on the right top corner.
4. The above message disappears in a split second and the screen remains blank for almost 2-3 mins before shutting off again. The best way to check the duration of the blank screen displayed is to keep the phone in dark. This bug could be one of the reasons for the battery draining for some users who recieve loads of text messages in a day.
