Having major issues with my cellphone. I havent used my cellphone for like 6months now due to the fact that it says "ERROR: Unable to find bootable option: press any key to turn off" this happens every time it turns on, The other issue is that no PC will connect with it, I have tried different cords etc. Its a Nokia Lumia 1020. what can I do?

On thurday morning I got tried to restart my 1020 and got a screen that says: Error: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to continue.
Things I have tried so far:
1. Soft/hard key resets - The nokia logo comes up but I can't get the exclamation mark to appear when I press the keys.
2. Windows Phone Recovery Tool - I click my phone was not detected and get it goes to the trying to find a connection page, but never connects.
3. Nokia software updater for retailer - it detects my phone and downloads, but then when I go to install it says "This device is not supported by nokia software updater for retail"
4. Nokia care suite - product support tool for store - product not supported.
Updated to 8.1 developer preview but I want black update to capture DNG raw images seems this option is not available?

Hardware revision number : 1.0.0.0
Radio software version : 3.2.04034.1
After updating my 1020 to Black the 4G option disappeared from the Settings (Highest connection speed). Now I can only see 2G/3G, not 4G anymore.
Before the update the 4G option was available, selected and working fine, since my french carrier (free mobile) has LTE activated.
It's driving me crazy, the 3G network with this carrier sucks like hell, but the 4G is very good.
I do not have this as an option in my camera settings, I am on Vodafone UK, updated today on a new phone.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to the Lumia (last night!), so I suspect I'm doing something daft. I've just updated my phone with the black update, and now there are no more phone updates to download. When I go into extras+info, the software release is Lumia Black.
However, when I go into the camera settings, I still can't see an option to shoot in DNG - it's still only the 2 jpg options that are there. Is there another step that I need to follow before this becomes available?
For some reason Nokia suite does not detect my new 1020? I can't find any setting in WP8 for USB modes, I updated to the latest Nokia suite version 3.8.30, the phone is detected by the PC, I can see the hardware under my devices and printers.

Describe as below:
Day 1: i get some sms
Day 2: all the sms from day 1 disappear, i get some new sms
Day 3: all the sms from day 1 just come back but the sms from day 2 disappear.
I check the time setting, it is auto. and there is no way i can find back, the problem happens with all of my contact who sent me sms in 03 day.
Phone will not find updates 1020 after factory reset here is what I did.
1. Removed phone from windowsphone.com
2. Did a factory reset on phone
3. Told it to do a new phone from scratch not restore backup
4. Went through all the setup screens reconnected to MS account
5. Phone was reset up on windowsphone.com
Today, I got instructions from AT&T on how to unlock. I was able to perform backup on iTunes of my iPhone 4. But, I am not able to see the option to do 'Restore from backup' in iTunes. Currently, I have the Gevey SIM in the iPhone, not the original AT&T SIM.

My initial reaction was fairly positive but I have a few questions and would be grateful for some advice please.First off, my old phone (N95) had an extremely handy Home Media Server feature. I would've thought the X6 would have something similar considering it is a multi-media type device. However, i'm unable to find such a feature. Also, most of my passwords for internet logons and email etc were all created using a generator with random letters, numbers and characters. On my N95, I was able to copy/paste this info and save a lot of time when setting up mail accounts and other apps. I know the X6 does support copy/paste but the paste option isn't present for many password boxes. Is there a way around this please?
I'm currently unable to access the store while on 3G on my 1020. I have to be on WiFi to even browse the store. I'm pretty sure I'm missing something simple here but I can't work it out.

The latest text I got reads "Get media content now (174KB)" which is underlined as a link. I tap on the words and then get a message "Getting media content (174KB)". However, I have some music I bought from the Microsoft store which now can't play. It states I should check my xbox music subscription but I don't have one and have never needed one. I bought the album and downloaded it, I'm not streaming from xbox music.
I don't want to pay for xbox music when I bought the music. I'm not streaming it so I don't see why I have to pay twice.
A few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.
