Having recently updated the device software to 7.1 bundle 2061(v7.1.0.714, platform 5.1.0.532) I have noticed that when receiving a voice call the contact name is not displayed just the number, unless you know the number then you can't be sure who is calling? However after the call has stopped the name is displayed in the call log, assuming of course that the person calling is in the contact list
View 1 RepliesI had the tour first and since upgrading to .732 since the BOLD has the same software and i now have the bold 9650-verizon. When my phone rings the last callers name will come up first then automatically change to current caller.Has this been happening to anyone?

I went into settings, call settings, additional settings, caller ID, show number and finally hit home. I have turned phone off then on and still when I phone someone it is appearing No Caller ID.

Basically, any kind of call I make or receive (from phone, from head unit, from phonebook on head unit, typing the number in, etc) the head unit always shows "unknown caller" and neither the number or the name is displayed. Is there some kind of setting on my phone I should make to get the names to show up on the head unit? The names are displayed correctly using an iPhone.

If someone calls me on a land line the caller id works great and name appears as in my contact list. If someone calls me on a cell phone I get unknown number. PS: Before the update was working fine, I have only the memory phone being used and I don't have any duplicate contacts.
A friend has the iP4s and has this featured activated.

I remember we had a similar problem previously but all we had to do was go into Mediascape and select picture from there and set is as contact picture. But with this 2.3 update I've tried that and it didn't work.

View 3 Replies View Relatedjust bought a great bb bold 9900 in white and am still geting to grips with this piece if kit, everytime i receive a call all i see is unknown number, now having googled the problem the answer i receive is the following..go to settings, security, encryption, UNTICK include contacts and then UNTICK encrypt.Now everytime i untick encryptions, then save and exit....it automatically ticks the include contacts box...and the end result is caller id fails to work.

When I receive a call, it shows the incorrect caller ID, but the CORRECT photo of the true caller. Often it shows the last person that called rather than the true caller. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Bold 9900 running software version 7.1.0.523.When I get phone calls from certain private numbers, if I make an outgoing phone call the number on my display will switch to "private number" and not be logged in the call log. The only way to fix this is when a non-private number phone call is received or to take out the sim and put it back in again.I have replaced SIM, wiped and reloaded OS, but still experiencing the same issues.

I bought a BB 9650 unlocked from Verizon, and i am using it in Canada with Fido, and when i get phone calls from people, it shows up as unknown number, but i realize i have these people numbers stored on my contact list super weird.
When I get a text or phone call from someone that is in my contacts list, only their number appears on my phone, not their name. Is their a fix for this??
