Several of my 9930 users are complaining of suddenly not being able to hear any thing and the person they are calling can't hear them. Only fix is to pull the battery and replace. Are there any 7.0 bugs known that could be causing this?

I updated my software to version 7.1.0 Bundle 2123 awhile ago and since then callers cannot hear me but i can hear them.My carrier is Verizon and they told me they couldn't fix it either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 which is appx 4 years old with latest iOS has developed this problem last week. After a hello on connecting a call with anyone, it just goes blank. Neither am I able to hear any voice from the other side nor the person on the other side is able to hear me. I hVe to disconnect the call and use SMS or whatsapp. Is there anything I can do to correct it?

This happens after I have connected to the other caller and after at least 10 - 30 seconds of conversation. It happens when I have a strong signal (5 - 6 bars) and even when I am stationary. Ultimately, the other caller can usually hear me again.

A few days ago, out of the blue, I lost the ability to be able to hear or be heard when on a call on my iPhone 4. On a call, no matter which output I use, earpiece, earphones or speaker, I cannot hear the person on the other end speaking, and they cannot hear me talking. My phone will ring if someone is calling, and if I call someone their phone will connect, but from there I am completely muted/in silence. I do not believe this is a hardware related issue as I have tested both the microphone and speaker/s by making a Skype call to a friend which worked absolutely fine. I can also play music from my phone successfully through all of the iPhone outputs mentioned above. This is a super frustrating issue as I haven't dropped the phone or damaged any of the hardware. The only one software related thing I notice that is out of the ordinary is that when I do make a call, the 'speaker' icon is selected by default. Obviously I have attempted to deselect it, but have had no success in this making any difference.

I have to switch off my BB and pull out the battery for a while and put it back again.That way, I can hear the caller's voice but it is only for temporary.After a few days, I cannot hear the caller's voice again. I tried deleting everything back to factory settings using Wipe Data but didn't help. Also trying to plugin and out the headset several times but doesn't help either.

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.

I had the tour first and since upgrading to .732 since the BOLD has the same software and i now have the bold 9650-verizon. When my phone rings the last callers name will come up first then automatically change to current caller.Has this been happening to anyone?

I just replaced the LCD and the screen on my iphone 3G. It's all back together and working great - except there is no sound from the phone speaker. I can hear it ring and I can listen to messages. And the caller can hear me. But I can't hear the caller. My guess is this has to do with connection no. 3 because I had some trouble getting that one back in and may have damaged it. I've taken it apart and re-tried several times. When I flip the clamp the male end is secured. But it has never felt to me like I got the male end all the way seated back in the female end.

Hang up the call. the caller calls back and everything is OK.
So today, my exchanged phone did the same thing.
Is this another software bug ?
