Jun 30, 2014My iPhone 4 which is appx 4 years old with latest iOS has developed this problem last week. After a hello on connecting a call with anyone, it just goes blank. Neither am I able to hear any voice from the other side nor the person on the other side is able to hear me. I hVe to disconnect the call and use SMS or whatsapp. Is there anything I can do to correct it?

Jun 15, 2012When I make a phone call I can hear the other line but they cannot hear me. At first I thought it was a blue tooth connection problem, so I used the head phones. I got the same result. I disconnected the head phones and used the phone directly and also using the speaker, but I still could not be heard.

Jun 23, 2010I can barely hear the other person on the line. I know that's probably the noise cancellation is kicking in but still that sucks considering I didn't have such a problem with my 3GS which was pretty loud.

Apr 19, 2012I just replaced the LCD and the screen on my iphone 3G. It's all back together and working great - except there is no sound from the phone speaker. I can hear it ring and I can listen to messages. And the caller can hear me. But I can't hear the caller. My guess is this has to do with connection no. 3 because I had some trouble getting that one back in and may have damaged it. I've taken it apart and re-tried several times. When I flip the clamp the male end is secured. But it has never felt to me like I got the male end all the way seated back in the female end.

Hang up the call. the caller calls back and everything is OK.
So today, my exchanged phone did the same thing.
