View 1 RepliesMy iphone 4 has been dropping calls from my office for the last 3 weeks. I have a signal booster and the signal always shows 4 or 5 bars, even when it drops the call. No one else has this issue and my provider has told me that both towers in the area are working good. When it drops the signal often i will hear a noise that sounds like the camera shutter (click) then it kicks me out to the lock screen.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1
is there an app that lets you use the iPhone 4's volume button as a shutter button for the camera? I remember I had an app like this when my iPhone - was jaillbroken

I bought an IPhone 5, at first i was able to turn off camera shutter sound but after 2 days I'm not able to turn it off. why?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI feel like this was a pretty popular request, and when we all saw the separate volume buttons, many said the same thing.finally we can hold the phone like a normal camera and not have to fiddle with touching the screen.Evidently not, seeing as nothing was mentioned of it in iOS4 or iPhone 4 keynotes, nor is it mentioned in feature overviews. Certainly not a deal breaker, just more of an annoyance. It's odd that Apple hasn't given us this feature without having to jailbreak, as I'd think the coding for it is very minimal.

View 18 Replies View Relatedsince updating to Sense 6 / Android 4.4.2 my shutter sound is just a short "click" which is easy to miss, is there any way of changing the shutter sound back to a more normal sound? The sound in the Google camera app is much closer to what it was like pre-update.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBy default, the HTC One M8 has this slight tick sound when taking photos on the stock camera app, but I'm wondering if it's possible to change that sound to something of my own?
My phone is rooted so I can access to some of the system files if there's a need to replace, but I don't know exactly which one or if it's even safe to do so.
When i turn my camera on it makes a crackling sound and the image waves. I have to touch the screen a few times to get it to stop. Then when taking a picture the quality is very low, not anything like it was out of the box.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad a S4 a got my new S6 today. Tried the same "hack" to disable the Camera Shutter Sound like i did with my S4:
download Root Browser
navigate to
system/csc
open others.xml with RB Editor
adding new line
<CscCamera_Shutter_Sound_Menu>true</CscCamera_Shutter_Sound_Menu>
BEFORE </FeatureSet>
Save and restart Phone.
Open Camera - Settings - last line there you can find the ShutterSound!
I've seen numerous websites detailing how to turn off the shutter sound but none the other way around. My camera does not make any sounds when I take a picture and there is no toggle in the settings to turn it back on. I haven't downloaded any app to turn off the sound either. I know the sound exists because when I take a screenshot it makes the familiar "click" but no sound when I take a picture with the camera.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using a software called YBrowser to snoop around my Nokia E72 file system.I found out that the sound files for the camera shutter, auto-focus, etc. are located in the following path:[URL]... So I proceed to create a silence wav file (of about 10 kb).My ideia, simple enough, would be to replace the shutter sound file with this silence file and give it the same name, so as not to cause conflicts of any kind.
Although the YBrowswer allows me to snoop around the whole system files, it doesn't allow me paste new files, or even delete the 'CamcorderJavaCapture.wav' (which is the file I'd like to replce).I could access the Z:/ volume of my phone and do this?If not through the phone, maybe through a Terminal window and the E72 connected to my Mac via USB?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900 on T-Mobile in the UK and just wondered if there was anyway to turn off the camera shutter sound?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia Active ST17i, android versions 4.0.4, and ever since I bought it I'm trying to find a way to turn off the sound but now luck. I have no option in my camera application. I read on different forums that I need to modify my build.prop file. Can't do that since I can't root my phone. I found the file, I found the line that I need to modify, but can't touch it ofc. I tried factory reset, in the hopes that it would put the camera sound from 1 to 0, but still no luck. I tried to put the phone on silet. Every application is silent, expet for the freakin` camera!!
So how the heck do I turn off that freakin` sound?

Is there anyway I can reverse this upgrade as it has not improved anything on my phone, it is still very hard to hear when ringing or playing music and now I can't take pictures correctly.
