Since the update, I have been having an issue with my sounds for notifications just go silent and the phone reverts to vibrating only. The thing is, the notifications are still set to "sound" and they play correctly when I go through the select notification sound option.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI prefer to use to ring tones and rely on vibrate mode, but the native vibrate is so short and weak that I miss it most of the time. I have tried a doze apps that are suppose to let you customize vibrations and the like. I can get none of them to work. The best I an hope for is that my original vibrate still works (the stock "2 short vibrates"). In many cases installing the app disables the vibrate mode alltogether. I have read some things about turning off the "stock" vibrate, etc. but those instructions are very unclear and I haven't found a way to make it work. I'm frankly shocked at the lack of "built in" customization of notifications. But even if I need to get an app to do it, how in the world can I make that app work. My old benighted Blackberry was better at notifying me.
View 11 Replies View RelatedOne thing I miss about my Blackberry, I could set up Profiles for different sound configurations (Normal, Loud, Vibrate, Silent, etc.), and each action on the phone I could control in each profil always had all LED notifications OFF except for Voice Mail and Text Messaging. I have NO idea how to do that on the Atrix
View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I upgraded my Defy to Froyo 2.2.2 (from the Moto website). Everything is great except my phone beeps everytime I get an email. I have gone into email settings and changed it to silent, but it still plays the ringtone. If I change the ringtone for email notification, it changes and plays the one I select, except if I change it to silent, it plays the "Bells" ringtone, which I think is the default. I have tried turning the phone off and on, but it still rings. I am using the stock email app with 2 pop accounts and a Yahoo account, and it plays the ringtone for all of them.

My BlackBerry had a very simple way of doing this, but it doesn't appear to be possible on the Atirx. I hope I'm wrong, but there doesn't appear to be anything for this in Settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my brand new Razr (24hrs old!) - I have noticed that when the phone boots and the SD card is mounted, there is an Audible sound "DROID" - and its annoying. (Now, I am not talking about the mechanical sound/video that fires up when the phone boots). In Sound Settings I find a section called "SD Card Notifications". You can turn that off or on and here is the odd part. If I turn it On, it will use whatever I have the "Notification Ringtone" set at. That makes sense. If I turn if Off, it will use my "Phone Ring Tone"! - A long MP3... This does not make sense. In other words, I cannot silence it and I would like to. The phone does have a "Silent" ring tone (internally) but it is not one of the available "Notification Ringtones" I can use.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhave owner this phone for a monthe or so, i really enjoyed watching movies on it on breaks at work. in the last week it is not playing the sound on those movies. there all .avi files. i don't know if i have changed a setting or if the Internet app changed somethiing. i can still hear the sound on some files, but not on most. when i play the files that appear to have no sound, when i try turning up the volume the volume box that pops up says ringer volume.

For some reason, when I use the mediastation with my Atrix, I get an echoing sound. It's as if big room or concert hall is selected. The sound plays fine through the headset plug on the phone itselt, but all sound from the station sounds like it is in a tunnel or distant.I have tried sound settings for wired devices to no avail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.
