After much messing about I have finally got my emails to work on my atrix but to receive them I have to manually refresh them, is there anyway to set them up so when I get an email it will automatically give me a notification like it does on the IPhone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBy default you turn sound on or off. I want sounds if I receive a text but not if I receive an email. I want vibrations for texts and phone calls, but again not for emails.Also, I don't want to see email notifications in my drop down twice, once for email, once for gmail.

Was unable to get it to work but successfully set up the K9 app.With the new GB release I thought I would try the stock app again. Now I can send messages but can't receive any with the stock email app. I have my own web domain and pop3 email. Any ideas why this won't work with the stock app although it does work with the K9 app?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI prefer to use to ring tones and rely on vibrate mode, but the native vibrate is so short and weak that I miss it most of the time. I have tried a doze apps that are suppose to let you customize vibrations and the like. I can get none of them to work. The best I an hope for is that my original vibrate still works (the stock "2 short vibrates"). In many cases installing the app disables the vibrate mode alltogether. I have read some things about turning off the "stock" vibrate, etc. but those instructions are very unclear and I haven't found a way to make it work. I'm frankly shocked at the lack of "built in" customization of notifications. But even if I need to get an app to do it, how in the world can I make that app work. My old benighted Blackberry was better at notifying me.
View 11 Replies View RelatedOne thing I miss about my Blackberry, I could set up Profiles for different sound configurations (Normal, Loud, Vibrate, Silent, etc.), and each action on the phone I could control in each profil always had all LED notifications OFF except for Voice Mail and Text Messaging. View 3 Replies View RelatedBoth my wife and I have the Atrix 2 and have been pretty happy, especially since it is our first smartphones. Problem is with the FM Radio. When she is using her every (and I mean every) 45 minutes her phone shuts of the radio. I don't have any problems with mine. I tried going to both phone screen by screen and we both have everything set the same.

My BlackBerry had a very simple way of doing this, but it doesn't appear to be possible on the Atirx. I hope I'm wrong, but there doesn't appear to be anything for this in Settings.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo today has started yet another problem. Now when I go to answer my calls or make a call, it is automatically on speakerphone. I turned my phone off and it helped for a few calls and now the problem has returned. I have heard of USB ports going bad or something of that sort (not really familiar with it). Hopefully this is not what happened, yet then again maybe I could get a refurb not riddled with problems.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs soon as my phone had installed the latest update, i lost the ability to send or receive text messages. The only time I can send or receive is if i am on a phone call. As soon as the call is done, my text messaging is non-functional. I have no issues with calls/internet browsing/apps...just text messaging.
Furthermore, i do not know if this a phone issue or an AT&T issue.
I've had the Motorola Atrix for a few days now and I've found out that when I compose an email or try to reply one using the default app it gets stuck in the Outbox folder.

View 3 Replies View RelatedClean boot (restart), the proximity sensor works fine (when on call it turns screen off, when moved away from face screen on). As soon as I make or receive call via bluetooth (Motorola brand btw.) The proximity sensor stops working. When on call it will not turn the screen off... Rebooting the phone will fix until a call is made/received via bluetooth. This was confirmed with other Moto phones (Photon...) as well as different bluetooth devices.
