Dec 9, 2011Has anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...

Oct 8, 2011I've bad echo on voice calls my friends tell me whenever they ring.... As in they can hear there own echo. everything is ok my end. I installed villaintweaks 1.3.1 as I was told there was a fix fire this. I installed the noise cancellation fix.... But still it remReally would like to get this echo. I don't like having to keep pressing menu-noise reduction off during every call.Also notice that if I remove my protective case the echo disappears completely....but I don't want to leave the phone unprotected.Also, is it possible to fully remove villaintweaks and all of its data(and tweaks that I installed) from the phone? Would a normal uninstall work, or would I have to do something else.

Jul 6, 2015So i bought the samsung s6 edge today, and i was very exciting unpacking and setting things up until i start to get these random sound message icon popping up allong with a little "bleep" sound. The phone does does about every 1 to 5 mins, both locked and unlocked. I cant seem to find where this is coming from, as i havent installed any apps yet (just synchronised my s6 with my old s3 via smart switch, where i synchronised my contacts, s planner and notes). I also saw a message pop up: "cannot download right now, try again later" (this is translated from dutch so i'm not sure if its the exact massage when given in english) (this pop up may be irrelevant but i'm trying to give as much info as i can )

LG :: Versa Fails When Placing Call / Test Screen Value Power Is TXOff
Jul 13, 2010I have an LG Versa that always fails when atempting to dial a call. It says "Calling" and the number dialed for about 30 seconds then says "Call Failed!!! Try Again". Everything else on the phone works fine.This happened after the phone was partially bricked and then an emergency flash was performed with LGNPST Lab Level 1.2 and the vx9600.dll. The phone has since been completely reflashed on several occassion with versions 3 & 4 software by the carrier techs, some "super techs" & myself "standard tech" but problem persist.
I have noticed if you go into Programming Mode (##77647269600 call then 000000) under Field Test & Screen that the value "TxPower" is always "TXOff" even while call is being attemped, before it fails. (see attachment) No one has been able to determine how to get the TxPower On. LG says that someone must have changed a setting, but they refuse to provide the information on how it is accomplished. Lg insist that it must be sent in for service.The phone is out of warranty.

Apr 11, 2010How do i prevent the screen of nokia n97 to rotate and get to portrait mode when there is incoming call and during call?i on the rotation sensor so that when the phone goes horizontal the screen rotate horizontal and when it goes vertical the screen rotate vertical but screen doesn't automatically return to portrait mode if it was in landscape mode when there is an incoming call. And when i take the phone vertically to slide and answer at the same time screen trying to rotate to portrait mode and the touch screen or the phone can just freeze making me not to be able to answer the call.Is there a way to fix this issues? i've missed a lot of incoming call because of this issue. Was nokia trying to imitate the iPhone making the rotation sensor? then they should make it better by providing updates for it cause it's very irritating. Every click of this noise is about half (or less) second long.The noise dissapears, if I switch to the loudspeaker, use BT headset or the cable headset.I first thought, that is is a problem with the headphonejack, as the phone for some reason could think, I am still in headphone mode. Therefore I tried to stick the headphonejack in the plug an d twist an turn an bit, in order to get the problem solved. But it did not.
Further I could find out, that the flickereing noise seems to be parallel with the flickering of the proximity sensor, but I am not sure about this. But I think, that maybe the on and of of the proximity sensor produces the noise.Does anyboday have an idea how I can get rif of this, since it is very, very anyoing.

The noise suppression and voice clarity options have no affect on this at all. I'm using headphones when in call. Apr 25, 2012My first iphone 4s which I got at the end of March did this from day one. Whilst on a call, a loud shrill tone would cut in and it was so loud I had to take the phone away from my ear; it lasted up to 20 seconds then the call would cut back in again. On the other end, the person I was speaking to wasn't aware of anything, no noise but it went kind of dead for the duration. This problem was intermittent, not on every call, sometimes twice in one call.
I took the phone back to apple who exchanged it straight away for a new handset which was brilliant service. The very first call I made on the new phone-bang, exactly the same thing. I could not believe it. I got to wondering if it may be the brushed steel protective case so I changed that for a plastic one but it still does it. Not as often as the first phone but it still does it. Any ideas what it could be? I am almost embarrassed to go back to apple again but it can't be me can it? The phone is only 2 weeks old!

Jan 7, 2016I was previously an iPhone 5s user and just got my s6 not long ago. On my iPhone, there is a toggle where I can prevent certain apps from using ANY data at all, not just background data. Meaning if I were to switch that on for Facebook, when I open the Facebook app, and I'm not on wifi, it wouldn't be able to load anything at all.
I understand there's the restrict background data feature on the s6, I tested it and it will only restrict data when I'm not using the app. But if I were to open the app it will still use data. For example I would like to turn off data for my manga app, as I usually download the manga at home using wifi. But now everything I open the manga app it will use my data to download some images on the manga app.
Is there anyway I can completely prevent an app from using any Mobile data? It should prevent the app from using data even when it is open.
