The camera is so bad I have stopped using it as main camera and gone back to my Sony Dsc t700, I'm sick of having to change settings every time I want to take a photo, and still have a poor quality image. I have given up on my phones camera.does anyone else have the same opinion or an answer to my problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two issues. I took a picture using Nokia camera app which is on default. Some pics didn't save.
Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
I already installed Camera Extras app on my Lumia 800, but when I try to use one of its features the camera format switch automatically to 4:3 format.Is anybody who knows about this bug ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i bought the samsung s6 edge today, and i was very exciting unpacking and setting things up until i start to get these random sound message icon popping up allong with a little "bleep" sound. The phone does does about every 1 to 5 mins, both locked and unlocked. I cant seem to find where this is coming from, as i havent installed any apps yet (just synchronised my s6 with my old s3 via smart switch, where i synchronised my contacts, s planner and notes). I also saw a message pop up: "cannot download right now, try again later" (this is translated from dutch so i'm not sure if its the exact massage when given in english) (this pop up may be irrelevant but i'm trying to give as much info as i can )
I've managed to take a screenshot...
When I place a phone call, I hear a bleep or a connect noise before the ring. I did not have that with that my S4. There has to be away to stop it with the S6

There is noprob for the videobut it happens only to the audio.It alwayshappens when i set the audiosample rate as44100KHz. If i increase it to48000KHz, the soundis ok for about 10-20 mins butthe video andaudio sync wont be proper. View 19 Replies View RelatedI just want to share my experience with you.I've been using an unlocked Lumia 800 for a week now and I actually like the phone, however these camera problems are just unacceptable.
The camera has SERIOUS white balance problems, and, for me the most important, the auto-focus is just ridiculous. It works bad, but focusing on "macro" objects is just a no go, even usin the touch focus or the "macro" focus mode. Another problem is the lens flare, which reflects how bad these optics might be. You really think that the Carl Zeiss branded optics anything here? Think again. My HTC Incredible S, with its "OEM" optics, (or the Iphone 4S or the SII) just humiliates this camera. Also, is that so hard to make a green square focus confirmarion?
How can they release a flagship device, with this price range, with these problems? No wonder why Nokia is where it is standing now, "almost" in a closing-doors status. They really need better engineers and programmers because everytime they let this happen with a device, they're tossing away their valuable customers. And they really deserve it.
And as I've been reading, the Lumia 900 is having the same problems... How sad is this?
got an issue with brand new nokia lumia 900.hone is fully updated and when i tap on "camera" or use the camera button, the software for it launches, but buttons are all greyed out then it closes. Ive ran it in diagnostic mode with the same problem.

It freezes when I shoot a picture in ISO 200 (Which I manually tune on the settings). After the hangs, I am able to exit the camera application but, pressing the shutter button won't open the camera anymore until I reboot my phone. And opening the camera from the application list (After the freezes) will only lead to the blank screen.I have already reset my phone thrice, reinstall my software and reset the camera, but the issue won't disappear.

Since a week, the camera is not working anymore : the camera app launches (by starting it from the start screen or camera button), but except from the app's UI, the screen remains black. Same story when switching to video mode or after restarting the phone.

took it out side in the daylight to shoot some pics and the screen went almost totally White!! everything very overexposed... Camera settings are set to default. Did a reset and a complete back to factory defaults reset, but same issue...?
new owner of the 920. Not yet proud of it though.How come there is no macro mode for the camera? The close-up "scenes" has trouble focusing things 6 inches away.

I cannot find any settings to correct this on the phone. The thing is if I take a photo and then when going through the app to the last photo I took it shows me the first photo I took who is in my gallery.. For example, of I take a photo and want to see it right after I took it by pressing the button in the Nokia camera app it will show me the first pic I took that is in the gallery.. And if I will wait for a while and the try it will show me the last photo that I took, or if I will go directly to the gallery..

View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm on my second white 920, returned the first due to battery issues. i've started playing with the camera and noticed that it does not take low light photos well. i tried taking photos in a dark room, using default settings and focus assist light on and the end result is dark photo with barely anything visible (see attached).
is anyone else having this problem with the camera sensor in low or almost no light situations? i've seen it demoed on Internet a few times where people take photos in very low or almost no light situations and they've gotten pretty good results. but for me, i'm not getting anything visible in my photos.
I have had yellow Lumia 920 now for about 3 weeks and everything worked just fine. Yesterday evening (european time) I saw update reminders on the "shop" tile and there were 3 or 4 of them (Nokia drive+ and some others that I don't remember). I was doing something and didn't give a thought but just let the updates to be downloaded and installed and they went fine as far as I know. Today when I tried to take photos the camera suddenly dosen't work anymore.
No matter if I click the hardware button or the camera app tile, it just flip back to live tiles. Camera doesn't work on Bing search either and not on any apps that utilized the camera.I wonder if anyone else have this problem or what I should do next. I have restart the phone a few times but it didn't work. I haven't hard reset it because I have so many stuff in the phone, if there is a easy way to do it I rather not hard reset it.
So my lumia 920 is 10 days old and Ive noticed a lot of dust under the glass of the FFC.
- I have read a lot of the posts here. Some people claim its the dust entering through the ear vent.
- I used a cannister of pressurised air onit today - and it indeed cleared all the dust out of the camera.
Where did the dust go? I read soemwhere that this blown out dust can wind up under the screen..Could it also end up obstructing the proximity sensor and mess up calls (blanking screen out)?
My friend got a nokia lumia two months back and two we updated the phone to the latest OS(8773) and firmware(8773.12121) but he is not able to donload the camera extra app/counter/playto alsoSurprisingly he doesn't does even have NOKIA COLLECTIONS in the market place.

View 19 Replies View RelatedEven though I can take photos, whenever I try to shoot video it focuses and then nothing happens - the timer stays at zero. My 1020 I'd fresh out of the box today. This happened both when I tap the screen, tap the video button, or press the camera button on the side. The Windows video app works, but I need to use Nokia video for the editing capabilities ( plus it's just better, I upgraded from a 920 so I'm not new to Windows devices).
