Lumia 1020 :: Camera Pictures Not Saving Or Can't Open Using Nokia Camera
Nov 27, 2013I have two issues. I took a picture using Nokia camera app which is on default. Some pics didn't save.
Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.

May 25, 2014I've had my Nokia Lumia 1020 for about a year, I believe. Just recently (within the last week), it has started taking blurry pictures. No matter what I do, the pictures are blurry. The farther away from the object I am, the blurrier they get. I know how to use my camera well, I have reset the settings on the camera app, done a soft reset on the phone, cleaned the lens, everything, but the pictures are still blurry.

Aug 9, 2014Beginning this morning, my Lumia 1020 can no longer successfully launch the camera. Any attempt to launch the camera through the button on the side, or through various apps that use the camera result in the phone crashing to the start menu.
I was running Preview for Developers for several weeks before the issue popped up. I had the version just before the latest update. Updating to the newest version did not fix the issue.
I also tried soft reset multiple times, and did a hard reset when all else failed. Still no luck.

Mar 5, 2015There is a sound like a "chirp"of a bird during capturing images, the moment the shutter closes. This sound is apart from the "click"sound. And the chirp sounds again after capturing during reopening of the camera after capture.
I am thinking this will be a future squeak sound. but nothing affects the focusing on video and on photos.

Apr 19, 2015I am using a Lumia 1020 and it worked perfectly for almost 2 years until today... I installed time lapse studio excited to make time lapse videos... And then created a project from my files and deleted the picture file in the app and then found that it actually deleted every single photo in my camera roll and all other albums were also empty. Now have been trying for almost 4 hours to get Lumia camera to open but it crashes on launch. I tried many soft resets and re installed the app twice but no results.

With the addition of the Nokia camera software and it being the default, I have to unlock my phone before it goes into the camera. If I switch the button to the standard WP camera app, I can take photos while unlocked.

Dec 11, 2014Recently I got this problem with my 1020's camera: when I use Lumia Camera, sometimes the app hangs after the first snap and won't respond unless I reboot my phone. Even if I close it through the task manager, the camera will be unusable upon restarting the app and the lens cover stays open until I reboot and successfully snap a picture afterwards.
I've already encountered it three times this week -_- I'm running PfD on latest OS, firmware version, and Lumia Camera app btw.

Aug 15, 2014I have something weird, I think it's since the Nokia -Microsoft deal.. Since they (MS) release their update to the app.. The thing is if I take a photo and then when going through the app to the last photo I took it shows me the first photo I took who is in my gallery.. For example, of I take a photo and want to see it right after I took it by pressing the button in the Nokia camera app it will show me the first pic I took that is in the gallery.. And if I will wait for a while and the try it will show me the last photo that I took, or if I will go directly to the gallery..

Sep 11, 2013My 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!

Oct 27, 2014Even though I can take photos, whenever I try to shoot video it focuses and then nothing happens - the timer stays at zero. My 1020 I'd fresh out of the box today. This happened both when I tap the screen, tap the video button, or press the camera button on the side. The Windows video app works, but I need to use Nokia video for the editing capabilities ( plus it's just better, I upgraded from a 920 so I'm not new to Windows devices).

Nov 30, 2013Twice recently it has happened to me that I have completely lost pictures when reframing with the Nokia Camera app.The following has happened:
I opened a photo from the camera roll in Nokia Camera, reframed it, clicked save. As usual, the progress bar indicates that the app is working, but then an error message appears, saying nothing except "an error occured. Please try again later", and then the photo is gone.
When looking at the camera roll folder on the computer, one sees that the 5MP photo file has a size of 0 bytes, and the highres file has vanished completely from the phone.

I've purchased Proshot, but that doesn't do dng files and I can't find one that can.
Lumia 1020 :: Camera Not Rotating
Aug 27, 2013I've got a Lumia 1020 on AT&T, white version. Sometimes, when I open the camera (Pro, Smart, stock, whatever), the camera doesn't detect that I'm holding the phone in landscape. It takes the picture, but of course it's 90 degrees wrong in the Camera Roll, and I have to manually rotate it later.
It's generally fixed with a power cycle (turn off then turn on). It'll work for a few hours and then get "stuck" in portrait mode again.

Dec 11, 2014Over the last week or so when I start up the camera it gets stuck at the "Loading...." screen. When it first started it happened about every other time I started the camera, but is gradually becoming more frequent and sometimes I cant get it to work at all unless I restart the phone and even then it's not certain.
The camera mechanism itself doesn't seem to be making any strange or loud noises when this happens, so that leads me to think its probably not hardware related. Between this and my wifi only wanting to connect when it feels like it I'm just about at the end of my rope with what started out as a great phone.

At the beginning of the week I had the blue screen of death (boot configuration error) - and had to re-install the software- which I did successfully a few days ago. All was good... At first it worked great and I had no problems with it, but a few months ago as I started to use the camera more and more, the shutter started getting stuck. It can happen at the worst such as when I'm at a concert or a family party. I usually have to restart the phone, re-open any app that uses the camera, and close it out.
My girlfriend got her Lumia 1020 before I did, but she always had the problem. I have also tried resetting the camera.
