I got the 1020 and I love it but I really wanted to play with the larger 35meg pictures but when I sync with my pc its only showing the 5 MP pictures at about 2 megs apace how do I get the large files off the camera....
View 1 RepliesLittle JPEGs copy OK, but anything more than a few MB either gives an error "a device attached to the system is not functioning" or Windows Explorer hangs (badly).
Selecting all files in the Pictures folder also causes both errors. It's a fresh install of Windows 7 with all the recommended updates.
I've had my Nokia Lumia 1020 for about a year, I believe. Just recently (within the last week), it has started taking blurry pictures. No matter what I do, the pictures are blurry. The farther away from the object I am, the blurrier they get. I know how to use my camera well, I have reset the settings on the camera app, done a soft reset on the phone, cleaned the lens, everything, but the pictures are still blurry.

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
I feel the lumia camera has lost its zoom clarity to some point...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wanted to take all my high res photos off of my 1020 to back them up, also to free space but when I connect it to my Windows Desktop PC and go to the camera roll folder and select all the high res photos, Windows constantly says an unexpected error occurred and cannot transfer the photos It asks if I want to try again and nothing works. I then tried to import the photos using iPhoto on my Macbook Pro and it sees the phone as 909, and just says Loading...I left it for 2 hours and still says loading. iPhoto didn't freeze it is just not reading the photos.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen watching avi and mkv when I select to play another part of the movie the sound does not come back. I only get the video with no sound. The files are large from 700 MB to 4500 MB. Sometimes the sound comes several seconds (sometimes aprox. 10). Some files I get points of the movie that the video pauses itself. I have to fast forward a few seconds to get the movie to continue playing. I have a Nokia E7 with Belle. Are this issues normal to Belle or are caused by a bad update from Anna?

So this morning my brand new 1020 is saying it's out of memory. I take a look, and it had been taking pictures (while sitting on the nightstand, plugged in and charging), all night long. Thousands of pictures. I've searched for this issue and am not coming up with anything.

I have a Nokia Lumia 1020 (obviously) and I'm trying to upload all my photos to my computer because I have a lot and I need more space on my phone. I have a refurbished HP Elitebook 8440p that runs on an Intel i7 processor and Windows 7 (Professional, I think.)
I've tried using multiple USB cables to plug my phone into the computer, and in each of the USB ports, but the computer just doesn't recognize the phone at all- I get no message telling me it's connected and when I look at the devices connected, my phone is not one of them, but my phone does say that it's charging when plugged into the computer, so the cables and USB ports are functional. I also use the cables for charging and the USB ports for flash drives, etc, so I know they all work too.
I tried downloading "Windows Phone app for desktop" from the Windows Phone website, but when I open the app and plug in my phone, it still says "plug in your phone to see what's on it."
I have recently updated to the latest version of Windows Phone 10. The camera suddenly stopped working. It either shows a black screen (in photo mode) or 4 small squares of the same image (in Video Mode).
View 5 Replies View RelatedBeginning this morning, my Lumia 1020 can no longer successfully launch the camera. Any attempt to launch the camera through the button on the side, or through various apps that use the camera result in the phone crashing to the start menu.
I was running Preview for Developers for several weeks before the issue popped up. I had the version just before the latest update. Updating to the newest version did not fix the issue.
I also tried soft reset multiple times, and did a hard reset when all else failed. Still no luck.
There is a sound like a "chirp"of a bird during capturing images, the moment the shutter closes. This sound is apart from the "click"sound. And the chirp sounds again after capturing during reopening of the camera after capture.
I am thinking this will be a future squeak sound. but nothing affects the focusing on video and on photos.
Any bluetooth remote for the 1020? What's the best video editing software/app to use?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a Lumia 1020 and it worked perfectly for almost 2 years until today... I installed time lapse studio excited to make time lapse videos... And then created a project from my files and deleted the picture file in the app and then found that it actually deleted every single photo in my camera roll and all other albums were also empty. Now have been trying for almost 4 hours to get Lumia camera to open but it crashes on launch. I tried many soft resets and re installed the app twice but no results.

With the addition of the Nokia camera software and it being the default, I have to unlock my phone before it goes into the camera. If I switch the button to the standard WP camera app, I can take photos while unlocked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently I got this problem with my 1020's camera: when I use Lumia Camera, sometimes the app hangs after the first snap and won't respond unless I reboot my phone. Even if I close it through the task manager, the camera will be unusable upon restarting the app and the lens cover stays open until I reboot and successfully snap a picture afterwards.
I've already encountered it three times this week -_- I'm running PfD on latest OS, firmware version, and Lumia Camera app btw.
My 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!

Besides removing the sd card, is there any other fix? there's a few gb of picture files too.How can I optimize her phone? I personally have a windows mobile and I treat it like a computer. I open task manager and shut down all apps not being used. I have a file explorer to move files around. Can I do the same on the Storm? I want to move the ringtones I made onto her phone, not leave it on the sd card. Also, sometimes she download files or w.e onto her phone, not the sd card. View 2 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
I am at my wits end trying to work out how to back up the RAW files from the Nokia 1020 to an external hard drive.
When I use the windows phone app on my Mac computer it always converts it to a jpeg file. Even if I drag the file to the desktop.
When I copy it to iPhoto, then try and export the original Raw file it exports a jpeg. Even if I tell it to export original.
It appears that iPhoto is using the RAW file becasue there is no jpeg written at the end of the file name, plus the file looks smooth when enlarged in iPhoto
I know that in the recent past, the Lumina 1020 couldn't auto upload raw files to SkyDrive. I was just wondering if anything has changed now that it's OneDrive. Is it now possible to auto upload our raw files to OneDrive?
I am hoping that we could essentially take pictures (away from our computers and cables) and just delete the photos to make room on the phones (knowing that they are safely backed up on OneDrive).

View 5 Replies View RelatedMany of you using DNG have noticed like me that the DNGs are missing the GPS encoding that the 5MP JPG has. This workaround makes use of the ExifTool by Phil Harvey and Microsoft's Powershell to quickly tag DNGs using the JPGs uploaded to your OneDrive Camera Roll (accessed via local folder path).
The following is the ps1 script that you run from the same directory where you save the ExifTool. Don't forget to remove the (-k) tag from the filename of the ExifTool.exe it has by default.

After downloading the pdf files from internet/mail it shows in the file explorer, but when try to open it, the app pickup list only showing Project Spartan. Nothing else, no Adobe Reader nor PDF reader. I installed another PDF file reader app call Xodo, still no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI think about 4 weeks ago, I accidentally switched from JPG to .DNG settings (5 MP + 34 MP DNG mode). I noticed my picture sizes on my onedrive are much smaller(from 10mb to 1mb) and less quality. DNG files are +40MB in size, so its no wonder that onedrive is only uploading what I assume the 5 MP files.
Anyways, when I try to upload the DNG files on my laptop from my camera via usb cord, it doesn't come out right .Not only is it huge(+40mb), but the color is disorted to purplish and very bad quality.
