View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an LG Versa that always fails when atempting to dial a call. It says "Calling" and the number dialed for about 30 seconds then says "Call Failed!!! Try Again". Everything else on the phone works fine.This happened after the phone was partially bricked and then an emergency flash was performed with LGNPST Lab Level 1.2 and the vx9600.dll. The phone has since been completely reflashed on several occassion with versions 3 & 4 software by the carrier techs, some "super techs" & myself "standard tech" but problem persist.
I have noticed if you go into Programming Mode (##77647269600 call then 000000) under Field Test & Screen that the value "TxPower" is always "TXOff" even while call is being attemped, before it fails. (see attachment) No one has been able to determine how to get the TxPower On. LG says that someone must have changed a setting, but they refuse to provide the information on how it is accomplished. Lg insist that it must be sent in for service.The phone is out of warranty.
Has anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...

Since the new update, if I try to long hold an app in ALL APPS it places the icon on my home screen. I do not want it on my home screen. How do I now place an app into a sub group that I already have created?

At first I thought maybe my ear/cheek was pressing against the screen but sometimes even if I dial a number with the phone flat on a table, it will do this.
In the last few days or so after updating to 4.4 I've noticed that the speakerphone comes on automatically when placing a call. This is incredibly annoying.

But I finally switched back because I liked Blackberry a lot more, but when I try to set up my email, it says that it is set up, but there is no home screen icon for my email, and I can't compose new emails.Any have any idea what's wrong? I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
On my Blackberry Curve 8330 I could listen to music via bluetooth, then place a call using the headset's voice-dial button. When the call ended the music would restart. But on my shiney new Storm2 9550, this doesn't work. After the call ends, the phone just stays at the dial screen. Any suggestion on what I could try?

It shows that I have an unread message in my SMS/MMS, but there is nothing at all. I've marked all previous items as opened and even went so far as to delete all of my previous messages, but no dice. The rest of my notifications are working perfectly fine, appearing and disappearing as they should. Any suggestions or fixes? View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I've somehow hidden the icon for SMS/MMS access/messages. It's not only no longer on my welcome screen, I can't find it in the list of programs/applications.
