do/does anyone get yahoo mail working? I just can't get to work, I have no problem setting up Gmail and have it working....my yahoo mail was working fine before the firmware 2.1 update.
View 6 RepliesI am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.

- Clicking on Compose Mail I get a circle rotating but nothing more happens
- If I want to check the checkbox to delete some mails the mail opens rather than checking the checkbox
- Clicking on Reply/Delete nothing happens.
- Logout doesn't work
- could go on with some other quite serious bugs as well
- This is the same for 4 different PCs using IE on WinXP and Win7, Firefox on Win7, Firefox and Chrome on Ubuntu 11.10, no help deleting temporary data That has happened before some weeks ago, but then worked again - then also a search field was available in the web interface. Now the search field is gone again and not to much seems to work.Besides the web interface there are some other issues:
- Outlook can not connect most of the times
- My N8 can not connect most of the times (neither 3G nor WiFi)
This makes OVI mail basically useless - I'm thinking of changing to a different mail provider because it OVI mail is very unreliable to me.
I have had my phone for ages and all of a sudden it will not connect to my work gmail account. It's telling me my user name or password is incorrect and even thought I make sure, shut the phone down and restart it, it still says the same. When I delete and try to set it up again it tells me can not connect to imap?

Clicking on the icon bring me sometimes to the choice for personnal email or enterprise and when I click on personal, I come back to the menu. Sometimes I canot even go to thi screen and I stay at the menu level.
I have my emails set up correctly for the blackberry web site, and I sent the service book to my mobile. I get emails working correctly.
After upgrading to OS 6.0, I can not access my email setup wizard to change a password. I have the icon in my setup menu, but clicking it does nothing.

I can confirm that I supplied the correct username and password but still, it keeps on asking the username / password even if I enter it a number of times already. I tried using username with and without @yahoo.mail but I get the same results. Note that I was successful in setting up my mail in the office (IMAP4).

my lumia 920 was not able to show photos that are attached in a yohoo email.I have the error message "the type of file you're trying to open is not permitted on the phone".But using an iphone to access the yahoo mail, I can easily download and see the JPG pics.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have purchased E72 on or around 15th Jan., 2010 from one of the Nokia Dealers in Indraprasth Shopping Center, Borivali, Mumbai. I found one man in his shop wearing a Nokia Shirt and after I bought this mobile, he set up the e-mail configuration using his sim card as his was of Airtel and Mine was MTNL. After that day I stayed in Mumbai for only 2 days and never used any of the email services. When I reached my office overseas, I tried to access the emails on my phone but it would hang and I would have to restart it again. Thinking there is a virus, I downloaded the F-secure Anti-virus from the Ovi Store. But it became worse. It stopped the Java applications on the phone.So, I uninstalled the Anti Virus and tried the email. But in vain.Then I was asked by one of the engineers at my service provider to remove the mailboxes and re-configure them. I did remove the mailboxes and since then - now 3 months.I have not been able to configure my mailboxes on my E72 again.
I went to the Nokia Priority Dealer - Foneman in Mangal Kunj, S. V. Road, Borivali -W, and they failed to configure it and sent me for software upgrade to Nokia Care, Near Railway Station in Borivali - W.They upgraded the software as they claim and tried to configure my email IDs. But they have failed too.Yet when they open their IDs on my E72, they open.What is the problem and how can I sort it out.I want my Gmail and Yahoo IDs functioning on this device.Or else, this device is of no use to me.I am very much disappointed with the Nokia Service which I have received from the Priority Dealer and Nokia Care.Is it because I bought the phone from a dealer and not a Nokia Priority Shop?Those so called promoters at the Priority Shops are incompetent and in the process of configuring my mail IDs on my E72, he went and terminated my Ovi Mail ID. I just bought a 5800 Express Music and am very new to the world of mobile phones. I have had a Yahoo Mail account for the last ten years and would like to be able to access it throught the phone's email system.
This is what I've done: In Settings Wizard, click Email Setup.
-Phone says "Allow application to use network to send or receive data?"
-I say "yes".
-Phone says "Testing network", then "Contacting email server".
-Phone gives me a screen with Yahoo, Gmail, Ovi etc.
-I click on Yahoo, then write my Yahoo email address.
-Phone says "Getting email settings", then "Unable to connect with the information provided. Please try again".
My exchange email worked just find with previous OS, not with both my Iphone and Itouch 3rd Gen Exchange email does not show anything other than folders, i have tried deleting account and re adding and restoring new phone or itouch factory settings with no luck.

This is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.

1. how to set up hotmail, yahoo mail, gmail accounts along with official company mails which is already set up. important is to received online mails the i am receiving official mails on company account, means it rings when a mail hits inbox, i want the same for hotmail, yahoo mail and gmail?
2. how to play Internet on it, when i click on any Internet video, it asked, do you want to switch to wap to stream the video, when i say yes, it gives error message, if i am on wi-fi connection, even then it does not play any video, simply gives error message.

I have a new-to-me device, after my original Curve 8530 had to be sent back to the carrier. I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."
