BB Bold :: Email Setup Icon Not Working After Upgrade To OS 6?

View 1 RepliesSince I have installed this last OS ipgrade on BB TORCH, (6.0 offer 1907), I cannot access anymore the mail set up. Clicking on the icon bring me sometimes to the choice for personnal email or enterprise and when I click on personal, I come back to the menu. Sometimes I canot even go to thi screen and I stay at the menu level.
I have my emails set up correctly for the blackberry web site, and I sent the service book to my mobile. I get emails working correctly.
I upgraded my Bold 9700 to OS 6 and cannot configure my email addresses. My email addresses are listed and I have the option to verify the passwords but every time I enter the correct password I get a message that says "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again." The only options I have when dealing with my email addresses is to verify the password. I cannot add an account and I cannot delete an account. There is no option to edit. Essentially there are no options at all except to verify passwords. When I open the menu I get switch application, help and close. Nothing else.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently Google Sync was shut down, I followed the steps suggested by Google and went to my Blackberry Internet Service webpage. My service is with Optus in Australia. I opened the email account that I wanted to edit and checked the boxes for syncing of Calendar and Contacts, clicked save and then a message appeared on the page saying I should go to email setup on my phone and complete the security activation. When I did that I found that the email setup icon was not active
I then called Optus Tech support and was put through to a centre in Manila, they really had no idea what I was talking about and used a stock answer that it was a Google/Gmail issue. While I had them on the line I set up a new email account with Outlook.com, when I tried to sync calendar and contacts the same issue arose.
When I bought this phone I had to use the BIS to set up my email accounts, the setup email icon did not work then either but I was told by Optus that was normal and all setup should be done using BIS.
I no longer have calendar syncing which is quite important for my work.
I did try a suggestion from the forum by logging in to mobile.blackberry.com - communicate - email and editing from there but there is no option shown there for calendar and contacts, the only option is for syncing deleted messages.
Recently I had to change my gmail password and now I am not able to receive email on my device. I am using the bold 9700 and upgraded to OS 6. When I go into setup manager and I click on email nothing happens. Is there any way I can either delete the old inbox that was on my phone and resetup a new email box, or change my password on the device so that I can get my email working again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago I had a severe system crash and had to re-install BB 7.1, once it was re-installed I used Blackberry Protect to get all my settings back. For some reason since then my phone will not send or recieve email even though it shows I have an email account set up on it. When I go to Setup and try to click on "Email Accounts" nothing happens MOST of the time. Sometimes I can get into the next screen but it won't let me open the BIS only the BES. I have searched and searched and used a few of the remedies I have seen on here and none of them have worked. I have the approriate data plan as email worked fine BEFORE the system crash, I have "registered" it and re-sent the data packs and everything else. I just can't get past the one screen to get INTO the settings. I have tried mobile.blackberry.com, chose Canada but there is NOTHING there to change any email settings.

Last week Verizon had an interuption in e-mail service.I received a notification on my Blackberry that I needed to verify my Password.I tried, but recevied a message saying email setup application is not available.I have tried numerous times since then to no avail.I even tried rebooting my phone. I'm not sure if it is a Blackberry issue or a Verizon issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday i successfully upgraded my E52 to latest firmware - 031.012. After upgrade i removed all previous email accounts (1 MFE, 1 pop and 1 imap) and start a new setup.i have to mention, that i double checked that the email client version has updated to 2.1.0 (the old one was 2.0.5). There are also several visual changes during the email setup.
Now here is my issue: I recreated my exchange email account and it works perfectly, but when i try to add a second email account (Email->New), choose one of the providers from the list (Windows Live for example) and proceed here is what happens:
1. I get a promt to enter email address and password
2.Then "Validating settings" and "Downloading terms" progress bars start
3. After "Downloading terms" progress bar completes i am returned at the page where have to choose email provider again
Is there someone with similar issue as mine when has upgraded to 031.012?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy problem is somewhat simple but I can't figure out how to solve it.From the Desktop Manager, I upgraded my blackberry 9780 to the OS Version 6.0 with the usual procedure.cAfter all that, my emails sync didn't actually synched. Since then, each time I try to start the Emails Setup Initialization, it ask me to activate my email accounts. You check the ones who want and it asks you to Verify the email by entering your password what I gladly did multiple times. When I press Verify it simply crash and say it's unable to Verify.Well, I tried to roll back before my upgrade. The rollback worked but didn't solved my problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently gone through a new update and now I cannot access my email accounts to change my passwords. I am required to change my passwords every 90 days so I am familiar with the process and since the update I ran on Friday May 27th, I can go to "setup", and select "Email Accounts", and then it just tells me that "Updates are ready for your device." I am able to select either "yes" or "no", but either option takes me back to the "setup" menu. Is there a way I can uninstall the most recent update, or is there a way to fix this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Blackberry Torch 9860, before I had a Bold 9800. I had two different e-mail addresses set up on the Bold, but for some reason I can only set up one of them on the new Torch. The e-mal address that is connected with my blackberry ID can not be set up anymore.

-I have a BIS-enabled data plan
-I have tried doing a software update
-I've tried battery-pull
-I have tried re-sending the service books/host routing table
My phone crashed on me the other day. After letting it reset, I am unable to setup email. When I go to Setup-Email Accounts- and then click on Internet Email Account, the phone does not respond. It only responds when I click Enterprise Email.
After completing Version 5 upgrade, I don't have an icon on my home screen to send or receive e-mail.
I went into setup and my email account was already there. I ended up deleting it and adding it again. When I did this, I got a messge that a "new icon for this mailbox has been added to the home screen." Went to look and it's still not there. Took out the battery and rebooted. Still not there.
Finally discovered that I could get to my email but accessing SMS/MMS (texting) icon. I sent an e-mail to someone and all my received e-mail that I haven't been able to access was there. This is very cumbersome way of getting to my email and obviously not the way it's suppose to work.
How do I get my email icon added to my home screen?
I need some help setting up my Blackberry Bold 9000. I bought it off of Ebay and I have already wiped with memory. I need help setting up my email account and all of that stuff. When i try to set up a personal email address the only option I get is for setting up a Work email. This is what it says "I want to use a work email account with a BLackberry Enterprise Server"
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the recent BIS 3.0 update, but my E-Mail Setup Icon disappeared. I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any). Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue? Is there something going on with BIS? Perhaps an upgrade rollout?
