Aug 14, 2012I owned a blackberry 9780 and I found my way in deleting my old email account.But now, I want to add a new one but my email accounts icon is not working and no matter how i try doing it from the advice given on Google, it's not working.I want to know how to add a new email account so I can receive my emails on my phone.

BB Bold 9700 :: New SMS Icon Same As New Email Icon?
Jul 25, 2010When I get a new SMS, it is the same as a new e-mail icon. However, this is not supposed to be so... SMS's are supposed to be a slanted envelop. I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.

Apr 7, 2014I've got my company (exchange) email set to sync every 15 minutes. It only does so occasionally. Last night it didn't sync for 6 hours, this morning it was 51 minutes. It didn't always work when I had it set on "as items arrive" either. My Live and Gmail accounts seem to work just fine on the 15 minute setting.

I had to adjust the settings of the e-mail icon to also show SMS'es, but having both showing in one list is not convenient. It looks as if the properties of the SMS icon are completely taken over by the e-mail icon, as changing a setting under the e-mail icon also changes that same setting under the SMS icon...

Jan 4, 2012On my Blackberry Bold 9650 - I am unable to get to the menu to setup my e-mail. I choose the Setup App. When I choose the Email Accounts icon nothing happens! If I try to exit this App, the phone freezes & I am unable to access it & have to shut down the phone. I always have to back out of this APP. I took it to a Verizon Wireless technician & they say they are unable to determine the problem.

Sep 14, 2010About 5% of the time when I send an email, ithe message does not get sent immediately but shows a clock icon where there would be a check mark if it had been sent. I don't find any documentation on what the clock icon is supposed to mean. Any message that exhibits the clock just sits and does not get sent until I manually select "Resend". On my old 8800, occasionally if the service could not be contacted or was busy a message would hang around until the service became available and it would be sent automatically. In the current case, no matter how long I wait (days) it never gets sent automatically.

Jul 20, 2011My email icon (the one associated with an email account added via Blackberry Internet Service) has disappeared after upgrading the Blackberry Device Software via Blackberry Desktop.At the same time after the upgrade Email Setup does no work. Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.

On that one I had an email icon which was just for my BT emails and I used this rather than the messages one which included everything (aim, BBM, Emails). I don't see this icon on the new Bold. Is it not possible to have it anymore? I don't like having to wade though everything that goes into messages to get to my emails.
