Up until now I have had two personal emails setup and functions. Now realize they are not there. Went to Setup/Email Accounts..and the icon is not there. I can't find anywhere else.Why can't I setup my email on BB? Where is the icon?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone approximately 2 months ago. The dealer claimed the phone was new but upon usgae of the phone everyday, I began to believe otherwise. I have a full 4G internet plan on my phone and when I tried to setup my email for the first time, I was unable to access the option on my phone. Everytime I selected "setup internet mail account" , nothing happened. It was like the option didn't exist.Upon calling my service provider, I was informed that someone had my phone before and had their plan on it and it somehow blocked my ability to setup or change the previous email options and that it can only be accessed if I get the email address of the previous user, which is impossible because I bought it thinking it was new without any previous records. I tried everything! Factory restore etc! Nothing works because the option is somehow disabled. Is it possible to somehow rectify this situation? There must be some history attached to the PIN of this phone.

I am not receiving emails on my enterprise mailbox and when I am trying to configure the mailbox, it says unable to contact the server and every time i try to configure enterprise email a mail comes to my enterprise id with following message "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server" and nothing happens after that. Even the other mailbox like yahoo etc are facing the same issue. After security wipe, I am not able to configure any of my mailbox on Bold 9780. I having been using this phone for last 8 months and it was working fine until last 3 weeks.

During the process of trying to set up my outlook email on my phone I accidentally selected setup "Enterprise Email Account" instead of "set up another email account". Now when I go into the setup options and select email accounts it takes me back to the Enterprise setup automatically. I can't find a way to exit that setup and begin the "set up another email" procedure I have tried turning the phone off/on, removing the battery but still automatically takes me to the Enterprise email account setup/login.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently Google Sync was shut down, I followed the steps suggested by Google and went to my Blackberry Internet Service webpage. My service is with Optus in Australia. I opened the email account that I wanted to edit and checked the boxes for syncing of Calendar and Contacts, clicked save and then a message appeared on the page saying I should go to email setup on my phone and complete the security activation. When I did that I found that the email setup icon was not active
I then called Optus Tech support and was put through to a centre in Manila, they really had no idea what I was talking about and used a stock answer that it was a Google/Gmail issue. While I had them on the line I set up a new email account with Outlook.com, when I tried to sync calendar and contacts the same issue arose.
When I bought this phone I had to use the BIS to set up my email accounts, the setup email icon did not work then either but I was told by Optus that was normal and all setup should be done using BIS.
I no longer have calendar syncing which is quite important for my work.
I did try a suggestion from the forum by logging in to mobile.blackberry.com - communicate - email and editing from there but there is no option shown there for calendar and contacts, the only option is for syncing deleted messages.
I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
Just got my new Bold today. An upgrade from the old bold. On that one I had an email icon which was just for my BT emails and I used this rather than the messages one which included everything (aim, BBM, Emails). I don't see this icon on the new Bold. Is it not possible to have it anymore? I don't like having to wade though everything that goes into messages to get to my emails.

I can't even exit the app. I have to remove the battery to be able to use the device again. This has been a long standing problem with this device. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a consultant and have a client that has a BB Curve. He has been using a certain provider inet for his email. He has now changed to a different provider (for technical reasons). I have tried to setup his new email account for the new provider - I also use a BB curves and have performed this operation for over 50 of my clients. However in this scenario, the Curve keeps asking for his account id and password. We have tried to enter it and it says that the Username cannot be blank. If we exit and re-enter the setup tool, and then enter the same info again, it says that the username and/or password is incorrect. His credentials have never - ever changed.
We cannot get his password (or acct info) sent to him by BB (RIM), because he no longer has the email address of record. Of course I tried entering a different email address to send it to, but of course it doesn't get to his phone as there is no eamil address setup (except his old one). The provider here in town (TELUS) has been quite useless in helping and have been quite specific that we need to talk to RIM, well of course this seems to be the only avenue available.Can someone direct us to the appropriate area or resource in order to proceed with setting up his new email account.
I cant create Email Account . When I try to setup my Email account, IT appears to activate your interprise account ,enter details provided by your systemadminstrator. I dont know which details isit. It appears also inter activation password ,which I didnt get it.

Blackberry sent a message it could not authenticate account password and e-mail. It is same account, password and e-mail as it has been for last two years. IT guy says change to Iphone or Android - less interface problems.
Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop. In putted server host etc'' just as requested.At a loss as to how to set up e-mail FYI - yahoo and Google set up seamlessly just not with outlook. Have not had issue for past two years.
I cannot set up a particular email which is a yahoo email. I was successfully able to setup other yahoo emails. I remember that this particular email was linked to a former blackberry which was stolen about 19 months ago. Now I have another blackberry on another network service provider and it keeps saying update failed. I am starting to suspect that perhaps the email is still linked to that blackberry ....
