I've got a weird issue here. Sometimes when I send or receive a call, the person on the other line cannot hear me. The microphone just does not work. I have to switch to speaker phone before I am able to talk. The problem is very random so I haven't been able to determine if it's a software or hardware problem.

My microphone stopped working. All sounds work, but when making or receiving calls no one can hear me. I''ve tried using speaker and the headset but still have the same problem. I have also reset my phone, still no luck.

My incoming calls used to show this perfectly clear contact picture and name when I got a call, now the picture is all blurry or something.
I think some of it may be all the new options there are now at the bottom of the call screen. It looks like the photos are stretched or someting.
Is there any way to set the ringing time to a longer interval before the phone goes to "missed call"? My Lumia Icon plays only part of the ringtone. Before I can pick up the phone to answer, it's already gone to "missed call". Yes, I'm no kid, and actually put my phone down between calls.

Once it happened not five minutes into the trip, the other times were over an hour in. How to correct it?

It didn't always work when I had it set on "as items arrive" either. My Live and Gmail accounts seem to work just fine on the 15 minute setting.

I have the i phone 4 but cannot seem to locate the microphone icon on my screen for texts that she has, nor find anything in sound settings to figure out how to do the same. Is this an app i need to download OR any other suggestions on how to set up ability to dictate the text message for times when I cannot type, such as driving?

I got a new Nokia Lumia Icon with Verizon Wireless contract. I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't get much. They said that I am reporting such type of issue for first time and told that one of their tech specialist will get in touch with me once they have completely assessed the issue.
I bought an iPhone 4S new in box (still shrink wrapped) just this passed month from a friend. They bought it originally in October, but for some reason, never got it from AT&T until December. Sometimes after I hang up a phone call that I was on using speakerphone, the microphone is still engaged after the call has ended. The only way I can kill the microphone is to reboot the phone. There are no other apps running and no calls going on when this is happening. It is very strange. I will note that the second microphone (near ear phone jack) is also active while this is happening. I will take to Apple Store but thought I'd share to see if anyone else has seen the issue. I'm running iOS 5.1 on my AT&T iPhone 4S.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded to DP 8.1, I developed a couple of problems that I had hoped Denim would resolve. For example, my camera button stopped working. Also, I lost the function to hold my finger on the screen to move the cursor around in text. So I can't edit messages very easily. I was hoping these were issues with the DP version and Denim would resolve the problems. But I loaded the upgrade this morning, and none of these issues are resolved. I still can't use the camera button. And I still get hold my finger on the screen to get a cursor.

i tried searching the forum and the closest similar issue I could find was one on a Storm that was stuck in headset mode. I also tried the cut off qtip cleaning method in the headset port with no luck.I haven't had the chance to try through the factory headphones (lost it) or a bluetooth setup but so far all seems that it would work. When using normal headphones (no mic) I can hear my side of a phone call just fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the 950XL at my work and love it. Recently I bought a USB Microphone (Rode Podcaster). It works really well while using it to record voice-interviews with the audio recorder..but while shooting video the phone uses the internal mic instead of the external!?
Microsoft Sweden tells me the video-app does not support external microphones and do not have any solution getting around the problem.
This just can't be right?! Why having a high-end phone with a beautiful camera and USB OTG and do not letting it to support external microphones in video???? In situations like this I actually feel a bit stupid not going for an iPhone.
Have Microsoft simply forgotten to unlock something in the code for the video-app? It just don't make any sense.
I have just installed my ck-200 and all works absolelty perfectly EXCEPT no one can hear me! The microphone in the onscreen display does not appear to be working. I have doulbe checked all the connections - it was a very simply plug and play install, but I checked again anyway and all is plugged in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got this phone out of the box and activated and the mic is not working... not when I'm on speaker phone, not while using Google Now or the voice recorder. And when I record it's getting absolutely no noise at all. However, it does work with an external headphone mic and over Bluetooth.
I've tried turning it off and removing and reinserting the SIM card, deleting the cache, using a small pin to clear the mic hole of "debris." Nothing is working. Firmware is apparently up to date.
Updated to Lollipop last night Verizon OTA, "ok Google" not working further investigating the mic will not pick up at all in any application. I did a factory reset did not work, rebooted in recovery mode and cleared the cache, did not work.

So i recently updated the phone to 5.1.1 (around tuesday). my last call was on sunday. after this update my microphone isn't working anymore. No one can hear my voice. Video works. Siri recognizes a little bit of noise when I blow in the left hole on the bottom. memo works when I shout at the left hole (you can hear your voice but not that much). so it's not a hardware problem. haven't dropped it or something. in fact the 4s stood the days between the call, the update and the second call in it's stand.
