Sep 9, 2014Why is there no autofocus option in the Nokia camera app, or even the Microsoft Camera app, when Blink, by Microsoft, has it enabled by default?

Nokia Lumia :: 710 - Must Half Press Camera Button To Trigger Autofocus
Apr 20, 2012When using the camera button to take a photo I must half press the button to trigger the autofocus. If I just full press the button the camera will just take the photo, but 9 out of 10 will be out of focus because autofocus has not been triggered. If I touch the screen, the phone first focus and then shots. Is there some setting to force the autofocus even when I press fully the camera button? I want the camera button click to behave just like the screen touch. Is this possible?

Jul 3, 2010After the phone on sleep for sometime, when launch the camera from locked screen or shutter button, auto focus and touch focus functionality is not working. Therefore, the phone capture blurry image.
And yes launching the camera sometimes laggy and display only black background.
Not installed any third party apps which kill background apps.
Xperia PLAY :: Camera Autofocus Failed - Taking Picture Anyway
Feb 24, 2012I've got a strange problem with my Xperia PLAY. My camera seems to have corrupted autofocus functionality "it seems to be locked on infinity and I cannot focus on any object. I know that autofocusing should normally be triggered by long-tapping camera button in the default application, but it never happens". I always get red focusing mark and a blurry photo.
This behavior is observed on both 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 with default application, Camera ZOOM Ex, Camera 360 and lgCamera. I tried every focusing setting (auto, infinity, macro), but no luck. I also tried to clear application data for Camera app, but it didn't give any results either.
I opened service menu > service tests > camera, and after tapping on screen I got a message: 'Autofocus failed, taking picture anyway'.
Here's an example of my photo: As you can see, it is of quite poor quality. It was taken from approximately 25-30 cm above surface, with 'Macro' focus settings and other settings in default state.

Apr 19, 2012My nokia 5800 takes many time to autofocus i.e. changing of bracket from yellow to green. Firstly I can see zooming of lens in and out during autofocus, but now I can't. As a result the pic it shoots is blurred. When i compare the picture quality of 5800 with 5233 (2 mp), I found quality of 5233's pic is far better than 3.2 mp carl zeiss lens.

Oct 27, 2014I have the 1020. I get updates on my Facebook page from Shape magazine. It has videos on workouts. When I click on the link it says I need an app and do I want to install. I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.

Sep 15, 2014Lately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.

Sep 1, 2014For some reason, my Lumia 1020 died on me today for no apparent reason. I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.

May 13, 2014When I leave the phone sitting for a few minutes it drops from H+ to H meaning I can't access the internet on IE or receive Whatsapp messages. If I toggle flight mode on and off or restart the phone it works fine for maybe 10 minutes or so.
I have network selected manually, I have tried automatic selection, it makes no difference. I also have 3G set as the highest connection speed. I upgraded to WP8.1 last week but have had no issues until now.

Jan 17, 2014I am at my wits end trying to work out how to back up the RAW files from the Nokia 1020 to an external hard drive.
When I use the windows phone app on my Mac computer it always converts it to a jpeg file. Even if I drag the file to the desktop.
When I copy it to iPhoto, then try and export the original Raw file it exports a jpeg. Even if I tell it to export original.
It appears that iPhoto is using the RAW file becasue there is no jpeg written at the end of the file name, plus the file looks smooth when enlarged in iPhoto

Feb 18, 2014I've gone through 5 Lumia 1020's in the past 3-4 weeks. All having the same problems with battery life. After taking my phone off the charger, I turn off Bluetooth and WiFi. I don't have glance on but I do however have all my background tasks running. I have two emails set to sync as arrive, Hotmail and outlook emails. I took my phone off the charger at 6:30 AM this morning, and when I looked at it an hour later, 7:30AM, I had 90% battery left. I have 3-5 bars of LTE and 1-4 bars of 4G everywhere I go. I do a soft reset 3-4 times a week since this is a common occurrence. I just took my Gmail email off my phone, so I'm testing to see if that was the problem. I normally get 9-11 hours of battery life, but I need to get 14-16.
How to possibly improve my battery without limiting the phone to what it's suppose to be? What I mean is, WP is based around live tiles, if I stop all the tasks, then it's just a close version of iPhone with limited apps. I don't want that. I don't like iPhone or android.

Everything was fine, but since today I can't hear the persons calling from my main speaker ( the one on top of the Nokia logo ) while they can hear me. the big speaker works but then the mic doesn't !My phone didn't fall or anything... I tried the instructions on Nokia.com , I used the Nokia software recovery tool they recommend, but still nothing.Now I can only speak with the head set and it's not comfortable.the phone runs the latest update ( maybe the problem comes from an update that came during the night, since its automatic) . And I think this is software related, but you are the experts .
