I downloaded 4 updates and my phone rebooted itself. Now it doesn't start properly. It turns on, but stays in this bright white screen with Nokia-text on it. When the N8 is switched off and I put the charger in, it goes on and freezes again in the white screen.

after i updated my nokia 500 to belle,it has stop working after i start.touchscreen works for some seconds then it stops and no keys are working as well.i have to take battery out to restart but again same problem.

Didn't restore apps and config from backup. AND lost long time reinstalling all my apps, one by one. I was pretty happy about the result, when I tried to open OVI Music app... And it wouldn't start! Brightness was at its maximun ignoring the ambient light sensor. 20 minutes later the phone was off. I thought was the battery, but before this, the battery was at 60 %. I let it in rise for two days, but it doesn't start or charge the battery. Is dead. Two times, when I connect the usb charger a red led light turns on, but turns off after a few seconds.

After restaring the phone it works fine. An even more annoying problem is that when this has happened my phone doesn't receive calls either. I've heard that people have tried to call me and it has rang normally but my phone doesn't show that someone has called me. Is there a method that can hard reset or reformat the device?
Just noticed that my N8 doesn't have a SW update notification, though it's turned on? My friend's C7 has this and just received a Maps Suite notification, whilst I had to go check if it's available, and it's there.
