BB Curve :: Get A General Failure Message?
May 4, 2012Each time I attempt to send an email I get a General failure message. I have tried to resend the email several times, but it always fail.

Nov 24, 2011I get a "General Failure" message when trying to send emails. This occurrs randomly and I have full internet and mobile coverage. Sometimes they send eventually and other times they never do.

May 21, 2012I recently got myself a 9360 and I love the phone. I also upgraded the unit to 7.1.0.336 and it works great except one thing. I cannot seem to send or receive emails using my corporate account. The account uses BIS and I never really had problems with it when I was using my older 9300. When I migrated to the new phone using phone switch, the corporate email doesn't work anymore. Whenever I would send an email, a red X appears and it says General Failure. My Gmails work fine. I tried a number of batter pulls after I deleted and recreated the account on my phone and still nothing. I even tried resending the service books and still nothing. I even have full access to my BIS through my subscriber and recreated my email there and still nothing.

Jul 8, 2011I have two personal email accounts feeding my Blackberry. One is a hotmail account and the other is gmail. They both worked fine up until yesterday, but then the hotmail one started to fail.Whenever I try to send an email with this account I get a red x and it says general failure. I can still recive messages, just not reply or send new messages to anyone with this account.My gmail account is still working completely normally. I have not made any changes to my phone except for an upgrade of the twitter app. Also I've tried taking out the battery and sim card out and rebooting.

Apr 24, 2012I have two email addresses set up on my phone, they are enterprise ones, I have always had access to send, forward emails for these accounts, now all of a sudden, I cannot forward or send new emails but can respond and am receiving emails. I called vodacom, they tell me that my account is an BIS and now I must change it to a BES account and reset up my account, but can only be done for the 1st of the month, and they cannot tell me why this has happened.

BB Torch :: Showing Up In The General Message Icon?
Aug 16, 2011So all of my emails used to show up both in the address specific icon as well as the general message icon. Now they are only showing up in the general message icon.
When I try to access specific emails that I know are for the specific emaill adddress the icon opens but it just displays "*No Messages*" even though the little red astrix is on the icon indicating I have received a new email for that specific address.

Call the carrier support center but they said that one of my mailbox was hit by virus which is very unlikely since it only happen after i switch from 9780 to 9860. If it was from one of the mailbox, it should appear in the respective mailbox than in general message folder. Since talking with the support center is a waste of time, I just accepted their explanation and live with the problem. Now, I have to delete minimum 100 emails per day.I just want to shut it off. I can even read their business email. Attached are pictures for better understanding of my problem.

I recently received a message telling me to validate my e mail address but, despite my and vodafones best efforts, we have been unable to get the phone to validate my e mail password (I know I am typing the right password, because I can access my e mail on my home computer with the password). I sometimes get the message that I have successfully validated it, but after the 20 minutes or so has passed, I get the same message as before, asking me to validate my e mail.
