My son has a blackberry curve 9360 and was doing an update. The phone was trying to restart to complete the process and has got stuck. It keeps trying to restart over and over again. We don't even get to the menu. We have tried removing the battery and tried to restart by pressing the alt, aA(arrow) and del button together but it doesn't work.
I recently bought a 9360 Model REM71UW which came with no BIS,Friday morning I purchased this BIS and I received a message instructing me to remove and re-insert the battery in order for some files to be loaded. After I've done that first my trackpad would'nt respond and later all the keys now the phone is black in screen even though its on.I've tried almost every advice i saw in this support forum to no avail.
I have a curve 9360 which i got from india and I'm currently in UAE. I tried to update the OS from desktop manager but it doesn't show any updates though my OS is 7.0. Is there anyway to make the desktop software to detect the update? If not then i will be trying to update it from apploader. I want to know that I got the blackberry from india, and it must have an OS for the carriers of india. So can I install the OS which is offered by the carriers of UAE on the RIM website? Will it have any effect or harm?
I have been trying to update my 9360 to OS 7.1 since last night, but I could neither back up my phone nor update, the connection is alright and it has already started the backup/upate process, but it kept stopping at a certain point, and GOT STUCK, I had no choice but force remove the USB to solve it, anyone had experience like this? and know how to solve it? or how can i get tech support from blackberry?
i was updating my blackberry last night, and its still on 7% which its moving of that. it wont let me do anything on my phone, ive tried taking the battery out and thats not done anything thats just put it back to 7% again. i need my blackberry for tomorrow so does anyone know how to solve this problem?
I recently updated my bbm on my phone from my phone and had to restart the phone and so I did, but now it is in a reboot cycle it loads completely then it goes off and starts again, I tried connecting it to the computer without the battery to update the software like I read on another forum page, but it is saying there are no new updates found
I woke up this morning with an icon for the OS 7.1 update. So I started it probably around 7.30am. It is now 14.00pm and the screen hasn't moved from "Back up your device" "Social feeds 0%" and "Overall Backup progress 10%" since about 12pm.Is this normal? How much longer can I expect it to take? I can't do anything with my phone and it is stuck on that screen.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9360. i invoked a software upgrade on my phone and it has been frozen for the past 36 hours on the Backup screen. It keeps getting to the Overall Backup progress of 9% and stopping(Social Feeds). I've tried connecting it to the desktop manager but it does see it as being connected. I've tried taking battery out to reset, I've even followed instructions and tried to safe boot by restarting and holding escape key. But all this has not done anything it just goes back to backup screen and freezes at 9%.
i havent been able to use the phone for over a day.
My 9360 keeps on rebooting. I did the battery pull, press back button till reboot is done but it doesnt work. I also connected it to my pc to "update" as a previous person was advised but the 9360 is still rebooting.Perhaps the 9360 was'nt a good choice?
my phone came up with needing to update the software so i have selected for it to do it. However it has reached the stage where it is backing up my data but it has now stopped on 12% overal completion for several hours. i took battery out and tried again but it has again reached the same point and doesn't seem to be making any progress
I have just updated my Blackberry Curve 8520 to version 5.0. It required me to reboot the blackberry so I did and now that it has loaded up I get a message saying 'To start using your Blackberry (R) smartphone, you will need to confirm the languages that you use.' and a highlighted button saying 'Continue'. Thing is, I can't press any buttons or scroll through writing or anything. No buttons, though I can use 'alt' and 'caps. There doesn't seem to be a signal either. I take the battery out and put it back in but when the Blackberry loads up again the same screen comes up. I know it has updated because the loading screen is different.
My son received message this morning on his phone saying it needed updating, he started the update. It is only on 13% now, saying it is backing up his data. Has said this now for 11 hrs. We can't do anything with the phone, it wont go off this screen. We've tried taking battery out an restarting phone but when it comes back on the same screen comes on again.
Just got a new 9300 to upgrade from a Pearl. Started doing an update and it seemed to have finished. When unplugged the phone the screen went dead and have a blinking red light (twice on then pause and repeat)
Have downloaded JL_Cmder as other posts seem to point to this. But unsure how to install stuff after the wipe as the current Destop software does not seem to correspond to the help that is being presented in the forums and on various web sites.
when I click on the option to check for upgrades to my facebook app from the facebook app on my curve 9330 OS 6, it goes to a URL but does not do anything after that. I currently have 3.0.0.17. Do I have the most recent version of this app for my OS? Is this an FB issue?
my 9360 updated to the latest OS bundle (low priority update but I thought I'd run it anyway) and now the internet is not working - facebook and Twitter won't let me log on saying that my data plan doesn't support the application, BBM is not working and emails are no longer synced with my gmail inbox.
I have a Blackberry 9360. I've just run the Blackberry Desktop Software. It shows that I can update the software for my phone. However, whenI try to it comes up with amessage that says an error occurred, and I can't install it. My internet connection is fine. I've tried this a number of times with same result !! Any ideas what's wrong, or how to fix it ?Also, when on Blackberry Desktop Software and I click on 'pictures' under te Media Sync, it shows I have no pictures. I did have pictures, and pictures show up against my contacts, so I don't know what's happened, or if this is related to my updating problem. If I click on 'Music' I can see a message that states that I have insufficient storage to media sync.
My blackberry curve 9360 has been stuck at 8% on a software update for 2 days now and I cannot do anything with it. I've tried taking the battery and sim card out and nothing happens. The radio is off and nothing is coming through...
I've tried syncing files to laptop. As soon as I connected the USB cable it prompted me for a password. I have no idea what the password is.I've also receive a software update request. Currently operating on version 7.0.0 bundle 2259. I have never download the desktop software for blackberry?
I am updating the software on my Curve 9360, and it is in the 'Backing Up Your Data' part at the start, but has stopped at 13% of the overall backup process. It has been stuck at this for over an hour, any tips on what to do? If I turn it off/take the battery out, will I lose the data on my phone?
Have had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.
I looked at my phone there was an icon saying software update clicked on it done it all then it came up this may take a few hours so I left my phone it's now been 4 hours backing up data and is stuck on 7% for the last 2 hours what do I do? I tried asking the battery out it just goes back to the same thing and same percentage?
Yesterday evening I updated my blackberry curve 8520, it then needed re booting and since then it has frozen, the screen and the keys? Was working perfectly before with no problems. I have taken battery/sim card out but still nothing. I have also tried to use my blackberry desktop but it is still trying to connect.
When I connected my blackberry to the desktop software, I noticed that there was an update from version 7.0 Bundle 1672 to 7.0 Bundle 2395. I selected Update and now the update appears to be frozen. however I am told that if i disconnect, it could render the device unusable. See screenshot.
received automated message re latest update to iOS this morning via iTunes. Connected iPhone, downloaded update, started to load to 'phone then it stopped with the status bar (below apple logo) on 'phone ~85% complete.
I am attempting to update the OS on my BB Bold 9700, as suggested by the BB Deskyop Sofware. The update started and seemed to be progressing but about 3/4 of the way through it is frozen at "Loading module"net_rim_speech_data_en_US.cod".
What should I do? The system warns "do not disconnect your device or stop this process as it could make your device unusable"
Later: I solved this problem by disconnecting the phone from the PC and downloading the OS6 package from the Blackberry.com/Downloads site, re-installing the Blackberry Deskop Sofware and re-starting the update process, this time with all power saving on the PC turned off.
My Torch froze whilst updating software and is stuck on 14% and has been for the last 3 hours. I have taken the battery out a few times in the hope it would re start but it just goes straight back to the same page when it loads up.
my blackberry torch 9810 started updating to the new software this morning, however has been frozen for the last few hours. I have removed the battery and then turned it back on, and its still frozen, ive also plugged it into the computer onto the blackberry desktop manager but it still does not work!
