BB Curve :: 9360 - Software Update Icon Missing
Oct 7, 2012My curve 9360 have no software update icon on desktop and no software update in the Option/Device menu. how to proceed software update in this case?

BB Curve :: 9360 App-world Icon Missing?
Jun 18, 2012I have just upgraded from an 8520 to a 9360. Originally I moved everything onto my new phone by using desktop manager but there seemed to be a problem with constant rebooting because it didnt like some of the third party apps. I restored the phone to the original settings but although I have Appworld and Bridge in my list of applications there is no icon for them - i have checked by Show All and they are not there. Both showed as icons on my 8520 and worked fine (I have a playbook too which is why I need the Bridge).

Nov 22, 2012I tried to do a search to see if maybe someone else hasn't posted this before - can't seem to find it. I recently upgraded to a BB 9360 and am with Vodacom in South Africa.First thing I did upon receiving the phone was set it up nicely and then WANT to change the Mobile Network options for Network mode from 3G to 2G only but alas, the only options open to me are 3G & 2G or 3G.Now, I'm a paramedic in South Africa and my 9780 Bold's battery lasts an entire shift (12 hours!) but that's with the 2G ONLY option.So obviously I'd like to have this feature back on my 9360!!!I can't afford to go out and buy new batteries!

Sep 29, 2012the BB 9360 of my friend fell and the screen broke. It was fixed in 24h and an complete clean up was also made on the phone. Now, the problem is that there are some icons missing, like the blackberry icon, the app world icon, social feed icon, whatsapp & FB. (the latter two are not so important of course). How do I do to find and install them again?

Now, i've just realised that no messages have shown up for a few weeks (!) but if i go to my contact, the sms is there. May 31, 2010A few days ago I performed the recent update to my 9530 Storm. Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?

Aug 27, 2012I have a curve 9360 which i got from india and I'm currently in UAE. I tried to update the OS from desktop manager but it doesn't show any updates though my OS is 7.0. Is there anyway to make the desktop software to detect the update? If not then i will be trying to update it from apploader. I want to know that I got the blackberry from india, and it must have an OS for the carriers of india. So can I install the OS which is offered by the carriers of UAE on the RIM website? Will it have any effect or harm?

Sep 15, 2012I have a Blackberry Curve 9360. i invoked a software upgrade on my phone and it has been frozen for the past 36 hours on the Backup screen. It keeps getting to the Overall Backup progress of 9% and stopping(Social Feeds). I've tried connecting it to the desktop manager but it does see it as being connected. I've tried taking battery out to reset, I've even followed instructions and tried to safe boot by restarting and holding escape key. But all this has not done anything it just goes back to backup screen and freezes at 9%.
i havent been able to use the phone for over a day.

Jan 30, 2012My 9360 keeps on rebooting. I did the battery pull, press back button till reboot is done but it doesnt work. I also connected it to my pc to "update" as a previous person was advised but the 9360 is still rebooting.Perhaps the 9360 was'nt a good choice?

May 15, 2012My son received message this morning on his phone saying it needed updating, he started the update. It is only on 13% now, saying it is backing up his data. Has said this now for 11 hrs. Jan 1, 2012I have a Curve 9300 and recently upgraded to version 3.1.0.58 app world then after a few days the icon disappeared. I tried to download from the blackberry website but I kept having a message that too many tabs were open (there wasnt) and that the browser needed cleaning (or words to that effect...I think!). I have since received an email from blackberry stating that there was an error with that version and to download version 3.1.0.56 - I cannot download that either. I have tried by connecting to my laptop and downloading from the blackberry site, it states that I cannot download from there and to use the mobile web. I still cannot download from there either. I do have updated software on my curve as it crashed about 3 months ago when removing an app.
