My browser icon is missing. As a matter of fact, if I keep the blackberry key pressed. the icon appears but it reads , 'your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries. pls contact your service provide. Last whole week I have been with Vodafone (india) guys to sort this problem out.. but in vain. I even got my OS updated. yet the browser in not there. However, my mails and messenger work.
View 2 RepliesI switched blackberry curves (same models 8310), and I used the switch device wizard on Desktop manager.I've lost my email and browser icons and when I try to get to an internet app (ie. facebook, yahoo), I get an error message stating that I couldn't connect because data service is not available. I was able to access the internet on my other phone.
I've checked the following:
- Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table (register and received activation text)
- Options > Mobile Options > Data Services is ON
- Removed the battery
Any other ideas? I am receiving phone calls, texts and my blackberry messenger app is working.
If I restart my phone, my internet brower gets defaulted to the telus web page. When I press the menu button the "go to" button is gone. My "go to" button for internet browsing is there when it isn't on the Telus Web page. In the telus web page i can't get to google or facebook or anything. How do I get my "go to" button back in my browsing. I have both a Internet Browser and a Telus Web icon, but both go to the telus web page- still with no "go to" button in the menu.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 9300 and recently upgraded to version 3.1.0.58 app world then after a few days the icon disappeared. I tried to download from the blackberry website but I kept having a message that too many tabs were open (there wasnt) and that the browser needed cleaning (or words to that effect...I think!). I have since received an email from blackberry stating that there was an error with that version and to download version 3.1.0.56 - I cannot download that either. I have tried by connecting to my laptop and downloading from the blackberry site, it states that I cannot download from there and to use the mobile web. I still cannot download from there either. I do have updated software on my curve as it crashed about 3 months ago when removing an app.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 9300 v5.0 it was working fine I think that it was because I was trying to update to the last version of it, but it didn't work and show some kind of error, after this the bbm was working and the next day the icon was Gonne! I already reboot my phone, wipe it (reset) and started from scratch but nothing seems to work! My icon is not there! When I tried to install blackberry messenger again it said that the application already exist! idk what else to do!!! Can anyone please help me! Also when I tried to work on it form my PC it said that my device has not enough memory!

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk, my SMS icon has disappeared for no particular reason. Nothing I've seen in other threads is helping. I have an 8330 from NTelos. I also keep getting the "nullpointer" exception after battery pulls.
-It is NOT hidden
-It is NOT combined
-battery pull does nothing
-the software is updated
-'restore theme defaults' did not fix it
-changing from 3rd party theme to stock theme did not fix it
-re-registering with the network did not fix it
-uninstalling/reinstalling BBM does not help
anything else i can reasonably try before i throw it out the window?
I have recently installed FB 1.6.0.21 through the Desktop Application Loader. I installed this version since I do not have a data plan. My problem is that I can't find the FB icon anywhere. I've googled this and tried all the solutions (restart phone, remove battery, change theme, show all applications) but to no avail. I have a BB Curve 8900 with OS 4.6.1.199.

Originally I moved everything onto my new phone by using desktop manager but there seemed to be a problem with constant rebooting because it didnt like some of the third party apps. I restored the phone to the original settings but although I have Appworld and Bridge in my list of applications there is no icon for them - i have checked by Show All and they are not there. Both showed as icons on my 8520 and worked fine (I have a playbook too which is why I need the Bridge).

I have tried taking out the battery and restarting. I have tried hooking it up to my computer and deleting & re-installing all apps - as the Telus guy had said to do. I still cannot send SMS. I drilled into each of the sub folders, selecting 'show all' for each, and still could not find the icon. I attempted to re-download the app from the blackberry website using my browser, but was informed that I already had the application on my device. I then attempted to replace the existing version, and still no icon.I then decided to navigate to the application center and remove the app world application. I then navigated back to my browser (cleared the cache) and attempted to download the app. I received a 'download failed' notification, with the details of 'Invalid COD error 907' message (or something to that affect).

Device: Curve 9300
Carrier: Vodaphone UK
OS: 6.0 Bundle (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.6.0.124)
App world: v2.1.1.19 (i think)
After installing OS6 on my Blackberry 9300 the icon for Blackberry App World has disappeared. App World is installed in the application list but the icon does not appear on the Home screen even after the show all command.
