After updating my bold 9780 to version 6.0 bundle 2534, the phone, once it is turned on automatically goes to sim services. Why is this so? It did not use to do this. i tries the battery pull but it does not work.
i am using nokia c5-00.2.I have some problem for last few days. my phone automatically gets connected to internet. If i do not have data pack then my balance gets cut.
1. I Log In to the Nokia Store - download apps - no problem.
2. I Log off the Nokia Store ("remember me" option is OFF)
3. While I am Logged off and click on an app to download - I am automatically logged in?
4. Every time when i am logged off and want to download something, the system must ask me at least for a password to provide, but i don't see that option? - Where is it?And one more thing - when i downloaded a "free" app - it wanted to connect to the Internet.didn't read the message, but I think it was some kind of advertisement thing...obviously, i didn't allow it, and couldn't use the app (the risks are more than obvious)
After updating with symbian anna update I enabled phone auto lock option with some code. Now I want to disable this option. When I am trying to disable this option I am getting "Unable to unlock phone" message. I tried to set Phone Auto Lock period to None. I am getting the same message.
i am currently at outside of my country and i was using BBM and other softwares over wifi without any problems and i upgraded my OS to latest (593) and than i can access only internet browsing. BBM - facebook - twitter doesnt connects to the internet.
whats wrong with it? my data services are only wifi because of high charges of gprs while i am outside of my country and it has no problem before upgrading.
Network Name is on home screen + Wi-Fi indicator is dimmed.User Manual reads:Your device is connected to Wi-Fi network but does not have access to BlackBerry services over the Wi-Fi connection. After several hours perhaps overnight the Wi-Fi indicator comes on and then I HAVE "BLACKBERRY SERVICES". until the next time I leave the house and drive down the road.
My point iswhy should I have to wait an indeterminate length of time before I can use Wi-Fi internet services? From the time my Wi-Fi network name appears on the screen I should be able to access internet via Wi-Fi.what gives? How can I overcome this indeterminate waiting for the system to gain acces to "BlackBerry services" over Wi-Fi.

It says that i need to contact my provider.Done that and they dont know what the problem is or are taking forever to get back to me.I have reset the phone several times done the security wipe and nothing has worked. I have recently purchased a used Blackberry Bold 9700 which was previous used on a Vodafone network in the UK. No I want to use it with Warid in Pakistan. The phone is working but I am unable to make a new account for BB services using my PIN and IMEI. Can you guide me as to how the PIN and IMEI can now be reassigned to me.
I just received as a gift for my birthday a BlackBerry Bold 9900 . I previously owned a Blackberry Bold 9000. Now I can't activate the blackberry services on the new phone. I have followed all the steps (used the desktop app to transfer the data from the old phone to the new one), moved the SIM card but I still can't set up the email or use BBM.I spoke to the service provider here in Romania (orange) and did everything they said (to go to blackberry. orange.com and change the model of the phone, to go to Host Routing Table and use the Register Now tool) but I didn't manage to solve the problem. If I insert the SIM card into the old phone everything works perfect. Also when I try to create a new account for the new phone on url... using the PIN and IMEI from the new phone I get the message - "Cannot create account: Your BlackBerry Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated"
I wanted to disable all data on the bb 9700 (OS 5.545?) and only use it as a phone/SMS.Question is i went into mobile network and i set Data Services to OFF.But i also read online that if its GSM it should change from EDGE to edge, and 3G to 3g.Well anyways on this phone its still saying 3G even tho data is OFF.
I bought a 9930 non-camera phone however Airtel data services are not working. Airtel says, it's a technical glitch in the server and they have escalated the issue to RIM with no definite ETR. I have paid a huge amount for the phone and unable to use it.
I am using a blackberry bold 9700 V5.0.0.862. My phone is unlocked and I am using it on the Fido network. I was away for 5 weeks, and while away I used a simcard from that country in my phone. When I got back to Canada, I put in my fido sim card and the internet was not working. I called Fido and they did a reset on my phone and still no data.
The tech did some trouble shooting as well as gave me the Fido APN info, I did the host routing table reset and still nothing. I have no idea what the problem could be but Fido has told me there is nothing else that they can do, as I am using an unlocked device. I cannot connect to the internet, my BBM does not work, and I am not receieving emails. I can make phone calls and send texts. I have pulled the battery out many times. My phone says 3G.I don't know if some of the setting on my phone locked from using the international sim, if my sim is corrupted, or if I need a new phone.
I been w/o a blackberry for 6 wks now! I finally got my Berry here and guess what the 4 day outage happened!Anyways, I just recently got a plan with Orange, BIS plan. I popped in my SIM and went to host routing services clicked "register" optionNothing, is there something I need to do? The orange customer service is pathetic as they have NO idea what theyre doing, Ive called countless of times and they keep telling me to pull the battery and it should work and nothing yet. Do they need to do something with service books? or what do I need to do?The people at orange keep telling me to do a battery pull(which Ive done SO many times I'm afraid its gonna damage the phone) and I keep registering the host routing service but nothing. I still havent received anything.
I've just switched carriers as I've moved to Barbados, but when i try to activate the data on my phone with the new sim, it says the phone is incompatible with the service.I was advised by the new carrier to cancel the old data plan (which was prepaid so i had just forgotten about it) and to try again. It's still not working.
I have a BB bold 9650 verizon. Got the phone from the US and am using it in India, Mumbai. I can use the phone and msg services. However I am unable to use the data services (bbm and the internet)
I have been using Blackberry Desktop Manager to sync my music to my phone. It has been working fine until yesterday when I plugged it in and it read 'Music services failed to load, an unexpected error occurred'. I have rebooted both the device and my laptop and it still won't work.
I have one Blackberry Bold 9700. I can't have access to blackberry internet services, BBM etc.I check the Host routing table and there is "no entries ". I make a Diagnostic Test and I check with my provider and they said that all my profile is OK. I delete the service book and they resend it to me but nothing.
I'm about to update my 9700 software from .545 to the most current one. My BB is activated on my company's BES server. Will I need to re-activate BES services after the software upgrade or does the activation remain when I back up my device during the upgrade process ?
how to unlock bb9700? I came across an app here for $10 and by installing it provided a code and thats about it. Just wondering if i do UNLOCK will that affect my current services or anything? i am on Telus (GSM)
I just bought a bold 9700 and the default services for the contacts list is still showing the previous owner's email address. I am new to blackberry and can't figure out how to change this the calendar and email are both showing my email address but the default for contacts doesn't give me an option to change or select another address. I am running OS 6.
I have a bold 9900 and I can connect to everything but email. I have tried to delete and readd it, it was there before but then I had to take my phone in to get fixed because it kept rebooting everytime I put it on a hard surface. It keeps coming back with 'no message services configured. You will be redirected to the setup wizard to setup your email' but it is already set up it just wont connect/link.
Just replaced broken Bberry Bold. Restored, backed up and set up email, etc. I receive email, however to respond or send a new email, I get this message. 'No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft'. Already have email address set up so it won't let me go any further.
bought a week ago and worked fine for 4 or 5 days but no longer connecting to a data network. Service provider said nothing to do with the service. my SIM in my old device works fine and gets data.
