BB Software :: Internet Services Not Working?
Jul 29, 2010I purchased my phone in the United States with TMobile but I am currently in Malaysia now. It is already unlocked since I am able to use my Malaysian Digi SIM card to call and text. However, I am unable to use the internet services. I have already spoken to both TMobile and Digi to try troubleshoot but to not avail. My host routing table won't let me register. It keeps saying 'Registration message queued. It will be sent once data coverage is available.' My Blackberry services with Digi has already beem activated. I've tried restarting the phone i.e. taking the battery out. It still says GSM and not EDGE. Is there anything I can do to get my internet services to work?

Jan 16, 2012I am using a blackberry bold 9700 V5.0.0.862. My phone is unlocked and I am using it on the Fido network. I was away for 5 weeks, and while away I used a simcard from that country in my phone. When I got back to Canada, I put in my fido sim card and the internet was not working. I called Fido and they did a reset on my phone and still no data.
The tech did some trouble shooting as well as gave me the Fido APN info, I did the host routing table reset and still nothing. I have no idea what the problem could be but Fido has told me there is nothing else that they can do, as I am using an unlocked device. I cannot connect to the internet, my BBM does not work, and I am not receieving emails. I can make phone calls and send texts. I have pulled the battery out many times. My phone says 3G.I don't know if some of the setting on my phone locked from using the international sim, if my sim is corrupted, or if I need a new phone.

Apr 25, 2012I recently updated the software on my blackberry to OS6 and after i seemed to have a problem with my applications email and the internet on the phone. My messages on bbm are not sending and the applications and internet just refuse to load.
i called vodafone as they are my network and they suggested that i go into options, then mobile network, then change the mobile network to any other network, after doing this i would change it back to vodaphone and switch my phone off. i did this and turned my phone back on after 20 minuets but then the proplem was still there.
i am paying monthly for this internet sevice and as a person that uses it on a regular basis (this meaning all day every day!) it is being a real pain.

Apr 23, 2010I have recently updated to v50 firmware. I did first OTA, and then through Ovi Suite. I am experiencing several issues, the most severe of which is a substantially patchier internet connection. The internet connection worked well previously, but now it's a coin toss whether it will or not. This change coincided with the update. The auto-rotation has also become substantially slower. I have tried reinstalling the firmware, resetting the phone, rebooting, removing battery and SIM card, to no avail.
I am very happy for Nokia to be updating the firmware for a phone that came out a while ago, so this is just constructive criticism. I am overall happy with the phone, and all the improvements are very welcome. The main issue I had been experiencing was random crashing of the browser, and occasional random reboot from the phone.

Apr 3, 2014I have a Rogers-branded Lumia 1020 (RM-877_nam_canada_234) pentaband, unlocked and running on Wind Mobile (an AWS 3G carrier). Everything works great. I just got it, SIM-unlocked it, and started updating... the most recent update was to OS version 8.0.10521.155.
Whenever I try to turn on Internet Sharing, it tries for a few seconds, and then gives error "Connection not shared. There's no cellular data connection to share right now. Check your cellular settings and signal, and try again."
Yes, I've installed Nokia Access Point and activated the APN.
BB Bold :: 9700 Internet Not Working?
Oct 30, 2011This is my first post. I write to you after several weeks of frustration with my phone as well as a million calls with Rogers customer support.
My problem :
1)I cannot browse the internet using the internet browser both on wifi or Roger's data network
2)Facebook app cannot establish a connection to the server
3)When I use the Browser app it will work for like 10 minutes but then all of sudden the internet just stops working.
I believe all of the three observations listed above have the same root cause. What is odd is that BBM works, my email works, BB app world works, I can even browse with the web2go browser - just not the three items I have described above.I really don't want to restore my phone because i have paid apps and i don't want to pay for my apps again.
My failed troubleshooting attempts so far :
1) Removed battery and sim card + reboot. Done it 1,000,000 times - no success
2) Resend service books - no success
I am at ends with the situation.
