BB Curve :: Internet Not Working After OS6 Update?
Apr 25, 2012
I recently updated the software on my blackberry to OS6 and after i seemed to have a problem with my applications email and the internet on the phone. My messages on bbm are not sending and the applications and internet just refuse to load.
i called vodafone as they are my network and they suggested that i go into options, then mobile network, then change the mobile network to any other network, after doing this i would change it back to vodaphone and switch my phone off. i did this and turned my phone back on after 20 minuets but then the proplem was still there.
i am paying monthly for this internet sevice and as a person that uses it on a regular basis (this meaning all day every day!) it is being a real pain.
So ever since I updated my phone to the new 6.0 software version, my BBM and my wireless internet won't work. I've tried taking the battery out, restarting the phone, excetra, but nothing is working. I only got it about a month ago, so I'm extremely confused as to why it has stopped working.
i have had my blackberry for about 4 months, i am on a sim only contract which has blackberry internet, this morning i installed the blackberry desktop manager so i could update my blackberry from version 4.6 to 5.0, wouldnt let me do it from my blackberry, dont know why. After i did this everything was working fine but my app world had gone, so i downloaded it again and it was the new version, i noticed i could update bbm, so i tried to do this, i then went out to a area which doesnt have signal for orange, so the updates cancelled, when i got back in signal it was telling me to reboot my phone, do i did this, after i did this and it came back on the internet is no longer working, instead of GRPS it says GSM and when i go to services status it says blackberry internet not connected and i cant send bbms, use facebook or the internet, im really confused and dont understand what has happened,i have tried everything but nothing works, do i need to ring Orange?
my 9360 updated to the latest OS bundle (low priority update but I thought I'd run it anyway) and now the internet is not working - facebook and Twitter won't let me log on saying that my data plan doesn't support the application, BBM is not working and emails are no longer synced with my gmail inbox.
Before the update everything worked fine.I connected my blackberry to my pc and did an update through the Blackberry Desktop program. Now whenever i try to open the browser through gprs or wifi it just says requesting and never loads.Iv tried removing the battery and even plugging into my computer to see if there are any new updates but there isnt.
I do have the c2 03, and i am realy suffring asit dsnt have so many features which is availablein a general fon. It dnt have any good things atall. I UPDATED MY NOKIA BROWSER, BUT NOWIT IS SHOWING CONFLICTING SOFTWARE, ANDNOT STARTING AT ALL
I have recently updated to v50 firmware. I did first OTA, and then through Ovi Suite. I am experiencing several issues, the most severe of which is a substantially patchier internet connection. The internet connection worked well previously, but now it's a coin toss whether it will or not. This change coincided with the update. The auto-rotation has also become substantially slower. I have tried reinstalling the firmware, resetting the phone, rebooting, removing battery and SIM card, to no avail.
I am very happy for Nokia to be updating the firmware for a phone that came out a while ago, so this is just constructive criticism. I am overall happy with the phone, and all the improvements are very welcome. The main issue I had been experiencing was random crashing of the browser, and occasional random reboot from the phone.
I have a Rogers-branded Lumia 1020 (RM-877_nam_canada_234) pentaband, unlocked and running on Wind Mobile (an AWS 3G carrier). Everything works great. I just got it, SIM-unlocked it, and started updating... the most recent update was to OS version 8.0.10521.155.
Whenever I try to turn on Internet Sharing, it tries for a few seconds, and then gives error "Connection not shared. There's no cellular data connection to share right now. Check your cellular settings and signal, and try again."
Yes, I've installed Nokia Access Point and activated the APN.
I have a blackberry curve 8520 on orange pay as you go. The internet service as been intermittent for a couple of weeks and seems to have died. I can get it up and running for a short period if I reboot the phone. I have checked that BIS is connected. Roaming data services are on. I have cleared the cache, cookies, and history from the browser. I recently upgraded the blackberry messenger service and these problems seem to have started at about the same time. Is this a coincidence? Perhaps it is a problem with my service provider?
I just bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 of an indivigual yesterday..The phone is unlocked to all networks but for some reason i can not connect it to the internet. I have registered the phone with my network company (vodafone) but still it wont connect to the net. It connects to the internet fine via wifi.. & Apparently according because of this , this is why my bbm is also not working.
My daughter bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 from Carphone Warehouse with a Vodaphone PAYG Sim in it. She got BBM to work fine with me and a number of her friends. After a few weeks, I bought her a pay monthly SIM and got her original PAYG number transferred across to the Pay Monthly SIM. Since then, she hasn't been able to get BBM to work. All her friend requests are 'Pending Authorisation' and she cannot send or receive messages. The Internet is also not working, although she hadn't tried that until now, so I don't know whether it was working before. Text and voice calls are, and always have been, fine.
Battery pull Changing all permissions to allow for both core and add-on apps Deleting eaach other's contacts and trying to add them again Checking the vendor ID, which is showing as 301, which I gather is Carphone Warehouse (not sure whether this should be Vodaphone or Carphone Warehouse?)
i am having problems with my bbm, mobile intenet and facebook app, none of which are working. I have full signal and i have also phoned up Orange to make sure that it is activated as i am on PayAsYouGo. It is still not woring.
My blackberry internet service is not working. I have a curve 8250 and I am on a vodafone contract and I do have blackberry plan in my contract so it should work but it keeps saying it is not connected. I connected toa wifi connection yesterday and when I disabled that connection, my BIS did not start up again, i tried a battery pop reboot which didn't help at all, I even ran a diagnostics test and the resutls said as follows:
blackberry registration: no Connected to blackberry:abort blackberry pin-pin:abort
I have just come back of my holidays and i got a message of o2 saying that my blackberry messenger and internet have been ceased, what do i do to get them to work again?
I always use my phone for email and internet and have it connected to the wifi in my house, two days ago it just stopped working. When I try to send an email It says service blocked and the internet just says unable to connect, Ive checked the connections and it says full connected, Ive also tried different wifi locations wirh no success.
My internet stops working by itself, whenever it doesnt load i have to reboot my phone and try it again. And even when my internet comes on and i click on something, it closes again. I've only had my phone for 4months so i dont see why it should be having any problems.
I topped up my 6 month bb memerbship on Saturday morning and got a verification email later that evening.
My BBM, Twitter and Facebook are working fine however, my internet and WhatsApp isn't. When I click on WhatsApp, it just says "Initialization can take up to 5 minutes" and when I click to use the internet, it just says "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later".
I've had the phone for 2 years and have never had this problem before. I currently have the WhatsApp free trial which expires in August so I don't want to delete and re-install incase it charges me?
My internet doesn't work unless I reboot my phone (even after that it doesn't last for long) and my phone freezes for very long periods of time so I just reboot it. I thought this problem occured because I had alot of files on my 2gb memory card (music, pictures, videos), but this problem is still happening and I have an 8gb memory card.(BB 9300)
Internet is not working on my blackberry phone though it was working previously but it stopped. I have not registered for a bb plan. Is it happening for the same reason for not registering.
My internet appears to have stopped working on my Curve 8520. My internet browser is not working, it takes ages to load, the blue bar at the bottom saying 'requesting' is there for ages and then comes up with the notification "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." None of the apps involving internet are working either - BBM, Facebook, Whats App etc. I have already done the whole resend service books thing and that hasn't helped.
I've got up this morning and none of my bbm or apps are working, my fb isn't showing any info and have recieved no emails. I was wondering if there is a server problem, I am with virgin. I have taken the battery out twice this morning but to no avail.
My internet browser is not working. The error says uncaught exception: shared webkit instance unavailable: null. checked manage connections and it saysStatus: Available Connection: Mobile NetworkNot sure what else to do.
So today my email suddenly stopped working. I tried going into email settings but then i get the error message "your device had a problem connecting to the server" and when i try to use my browser i get "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. if the problem persists please contact your service provider".I've tried taking the battery out, i've tried option > advanced options > host routing table > register now. But nothing has helped.I have a curve 8520 and i'm on tesco mobile, is this my phone not working or is it tesco mobile?
In the past 24 hours my internet browser is 'unable to connect to the internet', BBM has also ceased to load. It is not my data plan as I have topped up £10 and have my 300 texts and 100mb internet until Jan 27th 2012 until I have to top up again. My wifi says its connected as it is white but clearly does not work. I have not yet contacted Orange but want to try different solution.I have gone to Host Routing Table and 'registered now' but then it says I'm registered with my wireless.Taken the battery out for a while etc...
I've had my blackberry for almost 2 years now and my bbm and internet suddenly started not working 2 nights ago, ive tried resteting my phone and it still doesnt work, when I try to send a message or someone tries to send me one, it just comes up with a cross and I can't connect to the internet.
I have a Curve 8900 with a Vodafone corporate account. It is running software v5. For some weeks now, I have been unable to access the internet via the blackberry browser (I can access via Vodafone WAP and can recieve e-mails via corporate account, but not google mail) and any apps using this browser have also stopped working. I get various error messages 'a communication failure has occurred', 'device unable to connect to internet'.
i am on pay as you go and have paid for 6 months of blackberry internet, but it has stopped working and i did a diagnostics test and it says Blackberry Registration: No. and the rest of the connections say abort.
