Mar 1, 2010I have a curve 8330. If my phone is not connected to any BES server, do I have to specify my TCP settings under advanced options in order to connect to the internet? Or will it connect without the APN information set?

Mar 28, 2010Just started having this problem in the last week. My 8330 won't give me any of my new emails unless I "wake it up" by using the internet. The minute I surf somewhere it'll pop up every single email since the last time I used the net. So for example, I go to bed, and the next morning it won't be showing me any of the emails I received overnight (and I get several every night). If I use the internet to go to to a website, they all come through, bam bam bam.
Also, brand new problem. Just now I tried uploading some things to twitpic and they still haven't gone through. I sent two twitpic emails to my account over an hour ago. Both outgoing emails have clocks beside them (not marked delivered). Twitpic worked 10 hours ago... what is going on?

Apr 12, 2010i have reset IT policy via crack utility, wiped file system, wiped apps-reloaded firmware, successfully loaded "combined 3" service books using instuctions from this forum-but cannot get internet-i am using the paid version of cdma workshop and have access to programming menu, have reset spc to "000000"-the phone is making and recieving calls-just no internet.

Jun 30, 2011I woke up this morning to my phone not working.My trackball is able to scroll left-right and up-down, but unable to click. As well, none of the other keys work.I've tried resetting my phone by pulling the battery out & I've deleted all the apps that were on it via the Desktop Software.I can't answer the phone, check/ respond to texts nothing. I bought the phone at Radio Shack a little less than a year ago.I've never had water damage, my strip is still white.

Feb 21, 2010My data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

Mar 26, 2011With device 'on' and connected to my PC by USB, I have repeatedly tried the website update button over the last week. Nine times out of ten, the instant I click produces 'Error on page' at screen bottom and repeat clicking gets me nowhere. Once in ten tries, a progress bar opens at screen bottom. It usually takes 30 minutes to reach 50% and by 45 minutes, there has been no further progress and 'Error on page' is displayed. I have the BB Desktop Manager software installed on the PC.

Mar 12, 2010I have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
BB Curve :: Internet Is Not Working
Oct 12, 2010I have a blackberry curve 8520 on orange pay as you go. The internet service as been intermittent for a couple of weeks and seems to have died. I can get it up and running for a short period if I reboot the phone. I have checked that BIS is connected. Roaming data services are on. I have cleared the cache, cookies, and history from the browser. I recently upgraded the blackberry messenger service and these problems seem to have started at about the same time. Is this a coincidence? Perhaps it is a problem with my service provider?

I have registered the phone with my network company (vodafone) but still it wont connect to the net. Nov 29, 2011My daughter bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 from Carphone Warehouse with a Vodaphone PAYG Sim in it. She got BBM to work fine with me and a number of her friends. After a few weeks, I bought her a pay monthly SIM and got her original PAYG number transferred across to the Pay Monthly SIM. Since then, she hasn't been able to get BBM to work. All her friend requests are 'Pending Authorisation' and she cannot send or receive messages. The Internet is also not working, although she hadn't tried that until now, so I don't know whether it was working before. Text and voice calls are, and always have been, fine.
Battery pull Changing all permissions to allow for both core and add-on apps Deleting eaach other's contacts and trying to add them again Checking the vendor ID, which is showing as 301, which I gather is Carphone Warehouse (not sure whether this should be Vodaphone or Carphone Warehouse?)

I have a curve 8250 and I am on a vodafone contract and I do have blackberry plan in my contract so it should work but it keeps saying it is not connected. I connected toa wifi connection yesterday and when I disabled that connection, my BIS did not start up again, i tried a battery pop reboot which didn't help at all, I even ran a diagnostics test and the resutls said as follows:

Apr 25, 2012I recently updated the software on my blackberry to OS6 and after i seemed to have a problem with my applications email and the internet on the phone. My messages on bbm are not sending and the applications and internet just refuse to load.
i called vodafone as they are my network and they suggested that i go into options, then mobile network, then change the mobile network to any other network, after doing this i would change it back to vodaphone and switch my phone off. i did this and turned my phone back on after 20 minuets but then the proplem was still there.
i am paying monthly for this internet sevice and as a person that uses it on a regular basis (this meaning all day every day!) it is being a real pain.

My BBM, Twitter and Facebook are working fine however, my internet and WhatsApp isn't. When I click on WhatsApp, it just says "Initialization can take up to 5 minutes" and when I click to use the internet, it just says "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later".
I've had the phone for 2 years and have never had this problem before. I currently have the WhatsApp free trial which expires in August so I don't want to delete and re-install incase it charges me?

My internet browser is not working, it takes ages to load, the blue bar at the bottom saying 'requesting' is there for ages and then comes up with the notification "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later.
