Why is the vibrate mode not working on curve 8330? I have already checked the profile set up and at the bottom where it says try it nothing happens. Except for the led light blinking
View 2 RepliesWe have 3 of these phones in our family as well as 1 international version.All have the latest software updates as I just checked after reading the posts here.When set to ring AND vibrate, they ONLY vibrate 2x and then begin to ring ONLY.How to get them to ring AND vibrate?I have volume set to high and with the other settings, I fully expect 'vibrate and tone' but I cannot make it happen.

I have a Curve 8330 and am wondering if there is a way to get the Keypad Lock and Standby Mode to function together from one of the convenience keys. I currently have Standby Mode on the Mute Key on top and Keypad Lock on the left convenience key.

As well, none of the other keys work.I've tried resetting my phone by pulling the battery out & I've deleted all the apps that were on it via the Desktop Software.I can't answer the phone, check/ respond to texts nothing. I bought the phone at Radio Shack a little less than a year ago.I've never had water damage, my strip is still white.

The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

Nine times out of ten, the instant I click produces 'Error on page' at screen bottom and repeat clicking gets me nowhere. Once in ten tries, a progress bar opens at screen bottom. It usually takes 30 minutes to reach 50% and by 45 minutes, there has been no further progress and 'Error on page' is displayed. I have the BB Desktop Manager software installed on the PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?

Trying to find easiest way to do this and cannot find it. It was easy on Galaxy S3 as it appeared on top of status bar and all you had to do is push to change it. Does the HTC One have a similar button/thing? Is there an app or widget I can download to be able to do this?

If I have my volume for ringer/notifications set to vibrate and then I access Moto Voice (e.g OK Moto X, what is the weather?) for some reason the volume on ringer/notifications is increased to close to 70% of max. I can actually "see" it happen if I press the volume rocker down to vibrate and then initiate a Moto Voice command. (I am talking about the window that shows up at the top of the phone when you change volumes - I can see it change from vibrate to 70% of max).

Is there a way to set up the D4 to vibrate on receipt of e-mails and text messages only when the phone is in Silent Mode? As far as I can tell, the only choices are for the notifications to vibrate all of the time or not at all. Even with Vibrate set to "only when silent," e-mails still vibrate when the ringer is turned up. Basically, I'd like everything (phone, e-mail, texts) to vibrate when in silent/vibrate mode, and to not vibrate when the ringer's turned up. I could do this pretty easily on my old HTC Incredible, but it eludes me on the D4. If this isn't possible with the stock system, are there any recommended apps that would to the trick?

This is driving me nuts. In setting up my profiles, it looks like there are even more options then there were on my 8320. When in 'vibrate' mode, I want my phone to vibrate ONLY, whether to notify me of a phone call, instant msg, email, sms, whatever. But, when my phone is in the holster, it will vibrate and then ping with a sound alert. I was awakened at 4am this morning because my phone was in the holster on vibrate on my dresser and an email came in.I've checked my settings a dozen times and can't figure out how to get it to NOT ping. The settings for 'play sound' are only 'in holster', 'out of holster', and 'always'. There's no 'never' option.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if someone could help. I own an iPhone 3Gs and for some reason when in silent mode, the phone doesnt vibrate when i receive a new text message (sms). It vibrates when I receive a call in silent mode, and also when i receive a reminder from Intelliscreen alerting me of a missed call or new sms.
Basically the vibration function works for everything except when i receive a new sms in silent mode and when i flip the swtich from silent to ring (and vice versa).
Due to the above, i can only assume that its not a hardware issue since it does actually vibrate. this happened a few months after purchasing (and jailbreaking) the phone so i can only assume that this is being caused by an app that I have installed since it was fine for the first few months. I have checked the settings on the phone a million times (vibrate is on for silent and ring) and I cant work out why this is happening.
I have statusnotifier, ireal sms (v2) and quicksms installed. i dont know if they're causing the issue but i have installed them and the prob still remains.Is anybody else having the same problem or can advise on how to solve the problem? ive searched long and hard on the net and connot find a solution.

My main problem (besides lag) is that my phone keeps going to Mute either when I grab it or whatnot, I'm not sure. I keep on Vibrate and keep it in my shirt pocket typically (at work). It seems that handling my phone I somehow change the speaker modes without knowing it. Is there any way to lock the mode so that it won't change when the phone is locked? I don't mind being able to change the volume of audio output when the screen is off but for it to be able to switch to Mute or On is not something I want.
